LuLu Country Club Review

Golf outing was held there. Staff was very organized and helpfull.

The course was well kept and the layout was great. The Pro Shop staff was a little rude. If you want the money from the public to subsidize your course then you should treat us like you treat your members. The worst thing was the Porta Potty at the 4th hole, it looked like it has been there for 10 years without being serviced. It was full to the very top with human waste. Seems the big concern for the staff at the first hole was making sure we had our shirts tucked in.

The course went through a tough time this summer due to the extreme weather but after much effort the course is almost back to 100%. If you played the course during those bad conditions come back and play. You will like what you see. The new clubhouse will be beautiful. They offer reasonable membership levels and no minimums.

The course is nice. The fairways and greens are struggling with the weather but I think the ground crew is trying. The new clubhouse should be finished in October. That will be a good thing.

Played here in may 2018. Since the clubhouse was destroyed the temporary starter is moved to the back. You have to start on hole 11 which is weird. You also cannot access the driving range which is all the way on the other side of the course. They also charge $10 to use the range. Was not pleased to hear these things upon check in. Overall the tee boxes, fairways and greens were in good condition. I like the layout and length with the exception of the very short par 3 that plays 50 yds up a hill. I know they are trying to stimulate membership when the clubhouse is rebuilt so play it now before it goes private again.

Great course, good condition, nice service. New clubhouse should open this summer. Temporary facilities for now. Played in about 4 hours on a weekend

Under construction beautiful when get done..you can still go and play golf

LuLu country club is currently rebuilding the clubhouse and it looks to be coming along nicely but more importantly the golf course is in immaculate shape. The fws and greens are back to it's pristine shape of years past! A must play!

Currently playing the course and extremely irritated. First off it took 20 minutes to get a cart so our tee time was delayed. They have construction littering the course for the new club house. The bunkers if you take a divot turn into mud and rock. The tee boxes are all uneven. Worst of all they put us in the middle of a women s golf event with people walking the course and just standing on tee boxes everywhere.

Disappointed would be and understatement.

Greens and fairways in terrible shape for a 70.00 round

Golf course is well maintained and fun to play for all levels of golfers. Clubhouse is under construction.

The course has been in better shape. It is a bit burned up. The worst condition among any golf course in the area that I've played this year. And $10 for the driving range before a round is quite steep.

I ATTEMPTED to order from their catering service 4+ days in a row, via phone call (each time, no one picked up). Finally after a few days, I got a call back and was able to place the order. When the day came to pick up my order, no one was there! I ended up having to walk all the way around to the kitchen, and ask the staff in the kitchen for my order. Someone walked my order to the office so I could pay, LEFT IT ON THE FLOOR, and made me carry it out to my car. I called a manager to complain, left a message stating I wanted to talk to a manager, and haven't received any phone calls since, this was about a week ago.

One of the absolute worst customer service experiences I ve ever dealt with, people were very rude, and they have rangers going around making sure people have their shirts tucked in but every water container was completely empty. Course was nice but could ve been better for the amount of money that you pay. The new clubhouse looks like they built the framing and left the wood to rot. Will never ever think about going to this course ever again and will also push anyone I know away. Thanks but no thanks for the horrible experience and wasting my Sunday.

It's been a while ... Last year ... But better late than never. I played a round with a LU LU member. The club house was still smoking ... But the course was in great shape... We played a super round! Good luck with the rebuild of the clubhouse.

LuLu is a great course. The design is wonderful and it s filled with great golf holes. Great routing with holes of varying lengths and good use of elevation changes. The clubhouse is under construction but I d imagine it will be top notch. Unfortunately they seem to have lost the course from a maintenance standpoint. Many fairways were burned and there is tons of crabgrass and other junk. If this place had top notch conditioning and greens running around 10 it would be an unbelievable test of golf and worth we ll more than what we paid. I really hope they make the investment and get this Ross hidden gem back on the radar. The course is too good to look like it does. Lastly, staff is really friendly and made it a nice round. Next time we are back in Philly we ll be coming back to see how it s coming. Thanks guys.

This Country Club is a far more modern version of other clubs that I've visited.
As "2020" as this club is, I still come across the subtle hints that back in 1912 is where it all began.
Large spaces, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. A very clean and well laid out Pro Shop, and the mini restaurant to get snacks and drinks.
Upstairs is vast and provides plenty of views of the course while keeping you cool and comfortable. I can't wait to see this place in the fall.

Most unprofessional and curmudgeonly welcome I have ever received at a golf course. It s like they don t want you to play the course. I would forgive the fact that it s taken over two years to rebuild the club house if they even had an ounce of customer service. I ve loved this place for years but if this is how they re going to treat people, I will be taking my money elsewhere. Buh-bye.

A classic Donald Ross course in great shape and a brand new clubhouse. Friendly staff and membership. I played in a one day member guest event there and had a wonderful time.

I was shown a complete lack of respect as a member for a day. After 30 mins of rain in the morning, management closed the course to non-members due to soggy conditions. No effort was made to contact our group ahead of time, so we travelled 45 minutes to the course to learn that we couldn t play and that it was walking-only for members only. It seems like they re making up the rules on the fly and it was disappointing to be treated as a non-member. My advice: look elsewhere.

Awesome course, in beautiful shape. Also has a very friendly staff. A hidden gem.

Donald Ross Classic. Definitely Top 10 of his courses I've played!

As a member, I'm prejudiced, but theres so much work going on to improve the golfing experience it's hard to choose. First and foremost, the golf course is in great condition. Just waiting for the greens to come back from aeration. Membership is a great mix and staff works hard to keep things fun. Try it out for yourself with member for a day rates.

I had a very negative experience with Chris Toporski. He is rude, condescending, and has no place dealing with customers!

Greens were aerated, good putts missing badly. Fairways were pristine, though. Cart girl must've only done a half day and it was super hot, so refreshments were relegated to the water coolers on the course, of which I thought they could've used more. Price was fair @ 3 p.m.

Print a score card that reflects the starting hole as 1. It may be temporary but you've been playing this way for months. Uneven cut roughs, patches of no/thin grass all over. One hole tees off with another holes green right in line with a right handers slice. I guess back in d.ross's day righties didn't slice.

Grounds crew keep this course in immaculate condition, greens are absolutely perfect and bunkers are very well maintain along with fairways and rough. Very professional staff and amidst the reconstruction of the old clubhouse the staff at Lulu has maintained an A+ Golf course and experience. Great job to those who keep it up and running everyday!!

Excellent fairways and greens. Very wide open fairways. Great variety of holes. Shame clubhouse is still under construction but will be great when done. Reasonable fee. Love to play it.

Beautiful course, very well kept. They appear to be continually improving it. Very challenging, greens were difficult. Course originally opened in 1912 so a lot of history.

I played 18 holes with my daughter last Tuesday. The experience was true Donald....Ross that is! Brian in the pro shop could not have been nicer! Members on the course were also helpful and friendly! The design was excellent, like mark Twain and teugega to some extent here in New York. I will sure,y return. My daughter loved it as well and she lives in Philadelphia.
