Today (12/10/18) I visited LPIK ITB.
LPik ITB is an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Institute owned by ITB. Here the place is very comfortable to work. But to be able to use all the facilities here, we must first register to become LPiK tenants. The main requirement to become a tenant is developing or running a technology-based business and one of the teams is an ITB alumni.
LPIK tenant facilities, namely;
- comfortable working space
- free internet
- business mentoring
- business consulting
- and so forth

Not a good place to start a startup. This kind of incubator is run by ITB academics, hence must follows all the bureaucracies only existed in governmental organizations. Therefore, if you happened to get some seed funding of any kind from here, expect stupid amount of paperworks, irrelevant to your startup progress, that has to be done.

It's stupid because, startup should make products, not a bunch of paperworks that will end in a shredder.

The people there are not really professional. They're not giving you a proper, legal agreement as a tenant. Budget always changing hence confusing for the tenant who receives funding from LPIK. And worse, they really love to ask a request in the last minute, without a proper written notes or email. Very very unprofessional.

It's sad that this is one of the best universities in Indonesia, yet cannot manage an incubator properly. No wonder they never score a successful startup that gets real funding from respectable VC or investors.
