The ladies there were extremely welcoming & had great recommendations!
This rest stop is huge. Lots of room and grassy areas to enjoy. Restrooms were clean and well maintained as were the general grounds.
They are going through a major remodel of their Bathroom Facilities and to walk fast through a maze, before I peed my pants.
Semi clean look like a jail cell format great for tourist they have the Lousiana boot on display
Easy place to get in and out... beautiful senery and walking trail.
They offered me free coffee. They had interesting display of Louisiana offering and artifacts. Well staffed. Friendly. Restrooms were in a separate building out back. I didn't have any problems that most rest stops don't have...unflushed toilet. I flushed it for them after using numerous other available and got out of there.
Made a quick stop loved the information I was given. Staff was awesome.
Very poor signage directing to the restrooms. The restrooms are not easily accessible. The restrooms were dirty and unclean and need to be upgraded clean if visitors area where is nice with the exception of the sign that said restrooms are not this way. It would have been nice to have had a sign directing restrooms in an arrow pointing the direction of them I was not impressed at all with the Louisiana Welcome Center.
It was great had a lot of information enjoyed ourselves good free coffee
Closed. Wimpy state. Needed a map. All other states are open
Where you can stop at and get some sleep at if you are in a car or a big truck
About 2 & 1/2 years ago was not welcoming in any way. After all the friendly welcoming centers we'd stopped at, this was the only place where we had our attempts at being friendly, ignored and got dirty looks from the people working there. We said our friendly hellos and got the hell out of there, looking at each other, saying that was the crappiest we'd ever been treated at a welcome station/center. Whatever they call it there. It marked the final place where my husband had boots on the ground in every state in the USA. We won't be returning to Louisiana.
Two sets of restrooms. VERY CLEAN!!!! Free coffee... Lots of space!! One of the nicest rest areas. There are also a few vending machines.
Very warm welcome from the staff. Warm coffee ready. Loved the small museum. One of the best rest stops in Louisiana. Wonderful place to walk around. Dog rest stop was all good. Interesting landscape. Beautiful scenic area beyond the boundary of the rest stop.
Tics! Got one crawling on my shoe and I stayed on the walkways. SMDH
No warm/hot water in their public restrooms made for a not-so-enjoyable experience with little ones so you may want to avoid potty breaks here; however, the sweethearts in the tourist center are well worth the visit.
Vending machines took my money and you have to go through a act of Congress to get ur money back that's not good.
The smell was horrible. None of the toilet worked on the men's side. Never stop here!!!
Very nice very clean appreciated seeing workers monitoring the property in the evening
Good place to stop ,plenty of parking room, kid playground ,restrooms
Beautiful place. Spacious and well laid out also. Love it
Bathrooms are far away from parking spots so those with disabilities sor those that need to go asap should totally avoid this rest stop.
Bathrooms could have been closer to parking lot for easy access and handicap people. It was very clean and stocked well.
After getting off the interstate keep driving through until you see the right turn that loops around to the back area of the welcome center. That area is much nicer and safer than the front. Trucks fly through pretty fast. Great stop for us and dogs in our RV. Did not use indoor facilities. Nicely mowed grass for walking dogs.
No soap in the ladies room. Poor storm water management.
Great place free coffee better than stsrbucks. People are nice and friendly told me where to get meatpies .
Bleh... Dirty bathrooms, inconvent location to the bathrooms and a poor visual representation of the state of Louisiana.
It's like welcome to our filthy state.
Very disappointing!
