First impressions of this place are good, but when getting down to business, it ALL FALLS APART. Bought two pairs of frames, and when I went to pick up the second pair, they couldn't find the proper case that fit them. Instead of working with me to remedy the problem (I was willing to explore multiple solutions and willing to wait), they gave me a different branded case which does not fit the pair of glasses at all, and RUSHED me out the door expecting me to just deal with it. Talk about the worst customer service on the planet. When spending this kind of money for glasses, I expect good customer service. That does not exist here.

Look elsewhere for your glasses needs. I will never be back.

I've been going to Lossman since I was a child and I had great experiences up until last year. Last year they started me on contacts for the first time. They forget to call me about my contacts arriving for more than a month. Once I started wearing the contacts my eyes became irritated. At my exam appointment this year my eyes were so irritated that they couldn't even preform the exam. I was told they would call me in a week to get me back in and see what is going on with the irritation. Almost a month went by without any follow up from Lossman so now they've forgotten about me twice and when I called them to schedule the appointment they refused to see me. They claim to be eye doctors but over the past year my eyes have never been in worse condition and now they're refusing to treat me. My entire family uses Lossman and we have never had these issues before. Something has gone downhill with this practice and I caution anyone from using their services.

The place is amazing. The doctor is super nice and good with kids and adults. It is easy to get an appointment l. The staff is very energetic and pleasant.

I believe the front desk or scheduling lady has zero common sense and no clue on insurance verification when scheduling an appointment.
Had to look somewhere else for an emergency with my baby because the lady had no clue what she was doing

I have never met a more unfriendly or unprofessional staff than the workers at the Lake Zurich location. I was referred to this eye care provider by a friend and have had nothing but unprofessional service starting with my initial visit in 2015. On my first visit after filling out the required documents, I met with a staff member that insisted that I sign the privacy policy agreement without having been provided the document. When I asked for the privacy policy document, I was told that they were out of copies and I should just sign the acknowledgment. I refused to sign the document. This morning I went to pick up my replacement order of contact lenses and had another bad experience. I was given an attitude because someone in the office did not print out the confirmation of my benefits. Is this my problem or an employee problem???? I had to ask for a bag for my items and a sample of saline solution. The response was "we don't give out saline solution, BUT I will give it to you today. Thanks for going above and beyond to give me a complimentary sample....

Best doctor to SEE! The staff is very welcoming and the doctors are professional and knowledgeable. Love this office!

I would never go this place again. Eye doctors were pleasant and good but felt really ditch while talking and working with the staffs for following up like ordering glasses.

I have never had vision problems until a few years ago, so when I decided I needed glasses, Lossman Eye Care came highly recommended. Dr. Balda took great care of me and got me set up with some good looking glasses in just one enjoyable visit. I would highly recommend Lossman Eye Care to anyone looking for a great eye doctor. Ask for Dr. Balda, great guy and fantastic eye doc.

Thought the lower review rating was odd (didn t match my experiences) so decided to write this one. It appears 2-3 years ago there were a lot of unhappy people. We started using Lossman late 2018 and have been nothing but pleased with this location. Every time I have called the associate is patient, professional and knowledgeable. All office visits have been handled by a large, welcoming staff. There have always been many patients inside during our visits (nobody looked unhappy with the service or time being spent there). We also had a problem with one of the kids glasses, they took care of everything (nice to know if there is a problem, the warranty works as expected). If you are considering this optometrist, definitely stop in and check it out.

The people here are very nice and very accommodating. I have a hard time making decisions but they were very willing to work with me although I took a long time to decide on a pair of glasses. I would definitely suggest this place.
