Nice retreat from the cold. Super spacious, friendly staff, lots of windows to let natural light in. They have soy milk and a terrific selection of Torani syrups!

Quality of coffee is about what you pay for, aka cheaper than a chain. Coffee is always incredibly hot, and I don't particularly enjoy waiting 20 minutes before I can drink it. The cafe/coffee house is confusing, as the coffee shop area has been moving/changing recently and they haven't done a good job at directing you to the correct portion of the building.

Reasonable prices on basic coffee drinks. The staff and owners are wonderful people!

Excellent quality coffee! Come support local business that tastes better than Starbucks anyway!

Honestly the main virtue of Lori's is that I work next door and the coffee IS better than on campus.

This restaurant is a great place to relax for a bit, hold a conversation or grab a quick drink or bite. The decor is simple and in need of renovation but it's a small little coffee shop which is a welcome departure from the big chain prices and hubbub

Very friendly service and good food close to the St. Paul campus.

Good coffee, no line, abundant electrical outlets. Booths were a bit uncomfortable, where I'm six feet tall, and my legs were dangling in the air. Nice outdoor seating area.

Plenty of space. Big tables. Electricity. Great study space. Oh, and great coffee, too. They actually brew and spice their own chai!

I get coffee here whenever I work in St Paul. Very cheap prices for very good coffee! It's also connected to a restaurant the boasts a good kabob sandwich for lunch. Lots of seating.

Such a nice place to study and grab a coffee! Very affordable for students on a budget and plenty of tables and outlets. Highly recommend.

The best fresh made coffee around the campus, and super delicious Pastry options. Very neat and quite place to meet people, or just set alone and do homework. The staff is always amazing and friendly. Highly recommended to start your morning right here and go on with your day!

Pros: Very cheap, tons of space and tables, good muffins, across the street from campus.
Cons: Espresso quality is poor, crappy-quality styrofoam to-go cups, not very clean, booths have tears in the cushions.
Aka it's an excellent coffee shop for U of M students to get work done and get cheap coffee.

My first time at this Cafe, gal talked me through my first Chai tea! Loved it, will definitely be going back anytime I'm on St Paul campus!

Maybe I just went at a bad time, but the drip coffee was horribly burnt. Otherwise a nice location to study and the prices aren't bad.

Got a great almond milk latte and chocolate muffin with even better service. Lots of space inside with a good environment. Would go back again if I'm in the area.

Quiet with enough work space. WiFi has capabilities of a 1997 dial-up modem. Not an ideal for computer usage.

Great coffee; cheap, affordable, and a great place to study. The people here are friendly and they are currently expanding, so it can be a bit noisy, but I believe there is a future in this place to better their customers!

Lori is a nice quiet place to study, the drinks are reasonably priced and the staff friendly

Great service, and solid coffee! Had a perfect Mocha. Nice natural light, but could use some art on the walls and color to amp up the ambience - pretty dull at the moment.

Really delicious coffee, mediocre pastries. This space has so much potential but is kind of grungy.. lack of ambiance. Some plants/art on the walls/ soft music would really perk the place up! Service was very friendly and quick.

I'm vegetarian, so don't have anything to say about the meat dishes. But, they (Mim's) has the best hummus and falafel in the Twin Cities - maybe in the Midwest.

I'm always here as a college student. I love the coffee and they don't charge you extra for milk substitutes which I love. Gotta try this place!

Pastry was ok. Miel was fantastic (espresso, honey, spice, steamed milk) Good coffeehouse but its rough around the edges.

Super sweet workers and great coffee. Also very affordable. Nice inside and outside seating. No other coffee shop in the area that beats it. Open right now during covid for in/out seating.

I LOVE Lori's coffee house! I went here in college and it's still here today! They did some major updating since then of course. SUPER friendly as well.
