About an a 45 minute drive from where we are in Smithtown...it's a scenic great drive along ocean pkwy to get this place.

The rink parking lot is pretty spacious, but can get a bit congested when hockey games are being played. Right near the parking area is a play ground with a playset for younger kids.

Inside is good condition and clean. Unlike some of the rinks I've reviewed, this place had a concession stand that was actually open for business. I've never eaten here, but it looks like standard rink food, pretzels, fries, hot dogs, etc.. The proshop was also open for business. it is very small, they stock some skates, hockey pads, etc, nothing special.

The rink area in pretty nice, the stands for viewing games is essentially stadium seating, with semi-hard plastic seating, so it's slightly better than sitting on concrete or metal bleachers. From up there you get a great view on the ice during games...and its nice and warm up there. Couldn't see any heating elements above where I sat, but it is warn up there.

I can't comment on the ice itself as I've not skated on it, but my son hasn't ever complained about it after games.

Its a fairly decent ice skating rink. I recommend bringing your own skates, the ones that you rent (for $4) are very worn. Most of the shoelaces need to be replaced, some skates even have holes in them. I got a blister on my foot from rental skates , so bring your own if you can.
The actual ice was decent enough, they went over it with a Zamboni just before we went on. They have food available but we did not try any.
Lockers are Also available for an additional fee, but you can leave most belongings on the benches.

Son played high school hockey game here. Place is a sleezy dump of a place that should be torn down or renovated. Zamboni door boards are not aligned. Cannot compare to renovated or new rinks like Bethpage or Eisenhower. Would never go there to skate personally. Adding 2 more stars today only because a little house cleaning goes a long way. Boards still should be replaced.

This should be the premiere skating and training facility on Long Island, but the conditions have deteriorated to the point, where it is very-evident, that the rink is past its prime. It is sorely in need of a renovation.

There was parking, so that's good.
Some of the seats are missing (replaced with wood plank). But at least it had stands, some of these rinks don't.
Men's room was gross, stunk pretty damn bad.

The rink is great and the people who work there are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the skates in the skate rental are a disaster. Many of the skates are broken badly by overuse or abuse. I nearly snapped my ankle like a icecle when trying them on. My daughter ended up wearing two different kinds of skates because she couldn't find a pair of the same ones that weren't broken. This rink is ideal for skate nerds with their own skates and for penguins, polar bears, seals and other animals who are ineligible for rental skates.

I take figure skating privates with a coach who is lovely however the ice rink has shortened my private to 30 minutes to make room for more hockey that already happens every day of the week it s unfair that figure skaters get nothing and hockey gets the whole damn rink this is unjust
