I have never been to, nor have any knowledge on horse racing and the staff was definitely friendly and very helpful explaining it and taking my bets. The food and beverage servers were very attentive. The casino was clean and fun. I came out ahead!

Cool place with differing interests. If like horse racing & gambling there's one place. If you like AAAA baseball there's another. For skate boarding & BMX bikes there's courses. There's even an off road track for remote control vehicles.!! I've seen SCCA Solo here & Car Shows.

Cirque du Soleil was great at Lone Star Park. We've been to this location 3 times for Cirque, and it was always very enjoyable. Seats are small. Accessibility wasn't great as far as I could tell. Quite crowded. I needed to take stairs to get to my seat in the 200s, but there could have been another way inside that I couldn't find.

I have been a patron and gambler at Lone Star Park for at least 20 years. Have hit some major long shots at this track, primarily know for the chalk hitting the wire. The only place in D/FW to lay any kind of action. Will they get slots to make the mutual pools larger? A great place to take kids and they have live entertainment on the weekends. Lone Star Park is a horse racing track and entertainment destination located 1/2 mile North of Interstate 30 on Belt Line Road in Grand Prairie, Texas. Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie is a Class I horse racetrack operated by Texas Partners LSP and GG LSP. Bar & Book, simulcast horse racing 7 days a week. Catch the fun and excitement of world-class Thoroughbred horse racing at Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie.

I always enjoy Lone Star Park. Reserved seating is available (with air conditioning!) but general admission is fun, too. Their drinks are expensive, but the concession foods are affordable and pretty good. The facility is getting a little old, could use some sprucing up, but it's still nice and great fun. The horse are the stars and it's nice time to see them perform and bet a little on the outcome.

Lone Star Park is basically a racecourse but lot of activities keep happening. It has a large area at its disposal so good enough. Parking area is also very very large. There are many gates for entrance. I went there for magical winter lights - an event where they have setup an area illuminated with lights. Chinese acrobatic, dinosour land and photo with santa and princess from frozen. The food court serves very basic item. You can skip if you want.
All in all they event was very good and I really liked the lights. Great way to start your winters and spend some time with family.

Just go and don't be intimidated by betting on the horses or by thinking it'll cost you a lot of money. Parking is $5. General admission tickets are available for free at the visitors center, a minimum bet is $2 and a program will cost you $4.
The food and beverages are good and are reasonably priced. The atmosphere is very laid back and the staff are very friendly and helpful. There's plenty of general admission seating in the shade and loads of tables near the track.
It's a great way to spend a day even if you just watch and never place a bet.

There's plenty of parking outside and air-conditioned seating inside. Kids can go down by the side of the track to see the horses up close. The food menu is unimpressive, so the hot dog counter is a fair option. Races are about 20 minutes apart. Someone comes to your table before each race to collect bets and pay wins.

Fairly new, lots of parking. Even with lots of cars filling up the parking lots, it didn't feel crowded inside. People spread out around the grounds.

The key to having a good time here is to look on the calendar and pick an event/race day that suits your taste. For example, when they have kid friendly events, they have music, dancing, and petting zoos for kids (which the kids loved).

I thought this place is only for adults or people gambling, but luckily it is for everyone.
I took my granddaughter and she loved the racetrack and I really enjoyed being there too and didn't need a bunch of money
