I attended a filming here for a show and found the organisation shockingly bad, the facilities awful and it was really cold!
Great tv studios but too few toilets and facilities!
Could evening at Your Face or Mine. Well worth a visit but as a warning of you have priority tickets dont be late at all. Very strict then you get bumped down the line but thankfully we still got in ...... just
Visited RTS talk, great atmosphere and well organised, good networking. Nice to have refreshments available straight after work.
Ufortunately the show we went to see recorded ws one of the last to be done there, as that particular building is changing from being a television studio
Saw HIGNFY and thoroughly enjoyed it. The centre is rather dated but fine.
Very nice security with fab shoes. 11/10 would wait with him again.
Went to recording of QI. Great evening. Massive queue for ladies loo, but as i am a bloke ....
Went to see a pilot, Change your tune. Great to be part of the audience but to see the work that goes into making a talent show was really interesting. Good luck with everything. William
The audience reception staff (student RAHs in their gap year boss you about both inside and outside the studios. I think they are pulling it down now - no bad thing in my opinion.
Beautiful iconic tower that soon will be demolished, worth having a tour inside ITV centre and go on the roof to take panoramic pictures of London...
A Must Visit and check their website for special exhibitions planned before visiting to book tickets, it's worth it
I was on the list . As part of audience participation in a show. Very good and had a lot of fun, it's now been my 3rd time. A great night.
Queuing for a show is very poor. All outside and takes 2 plus hours. No catering for drinks or snacks. Seating is OK for an hour at most. Watched Upstart Crow which was superb from both show and warm up point of view.
Audience events well organised but you queue for hours!
Simply awesome. Thanks so much for having us and our bubbles!
easy to get to - less than 10 mins from Waterloo station
Took a huge dumb in their toilet when working there. Was all right.
The place the see great TV shows for free, what's not to like? Oh, ok yeah sometimes you have to queue but it's usually worth it in the end!
Graham Norton show recording organised and friendly staff
Went to see QI being recorded, was good experience, enjoyed the show. Only down side is the queuing outside, but this is the same for going to see any TV recording.
Really nice place, not quite sure who owns it now, used to be BBC but whoever has it now must rent it out to tv companies (possibly just bbc?). Lovely place, nice big space. The tv shows are just in a small area so not sure what the rest is like anymore.
Went in as part of a studio audience for a televised recording. Was a great evening and experience. However if your sat in one place for almost 4 hours with no breaks it would be nice if the seats were more comfortable or at least padded!
I went for the Graham Norton show. They've only got the studios inside (i.e. no bar or waiting area) so you're left outside in the rain til you're called in.
It's on the South Bank which is nice and convenient. It's an old building though I should say I have only seen the corridor and stairs to a studio plus the studio.
Not much else to say about the place really. Depends on what you're seeing.
If you are seeing a recording then you'll be passed through a series of security checks and will have to wait in line after that until they're ready to seat you. If you're through security then you'll get to see something.
You don't get to pick your seat specifically but if you keep you're eyes open you can target an area by going down the stairs to a seating area that's filling.
Went to watch QI being recorded. Staff very friendly and helpful. Expect queues if you are going to see a program being recorded.
Went to watch QI at the studios. Fairly good experience, staff were nice enough, although make sure you use the toilets before getting to your seat, and pray that it doesn t rain!
I have been to a few recordings (mainly Graham Norton and Alan Carr) and it is always a hit and miss as you don't know if you will be able to get in or not; if you don't you normally get priority tickets for the next show, but it is still a bit frustrating.
People managed like stuff. After more than one hour in the queue they put at your bracelet. Then you need to wait another half hour and pray to be picked up for the entrance. I will never come again.
Lovely staff. Good surroundings. Lots to see. Really good time.
Make sure you wrap up warm. It's a long and chilly wait outside and not much warmer when you get inside the studios!
My Mum and I saw The Chase being recorded here. We were lucky to see the penultimate show of The Chase to be recorded there. As ITV studios are moving
Attended have I got news for you recording as an audience member. Great fun!
Went here as an audience member, long wait to get in but was brilliant enjoyed every minute....
Last leg Christmas special. Lived up to very high expectations. A great night out for me and the missus. Stephen Merchant's Chevkov joke harmed chortling all the way home.
We went to see the General Election Special of Have I Got News For You. It was really funny. Apart from that, what is there to tell? It's a large building separated by temporary walls into performance spaces with seating for the audience. It is what it is. A great experience though.
OK but if your waiting it's all outside and very cold so wrap up warm.
Have had a worse experience ever in London. Very rude staff after the security area.
It used to show some decent programmes back in the day
Had to queue a long time in the cold but well worth the wait to see the excellent Graham Norton show!
Brilliant tv studios. Sad to see it's demolition next year after more than 40 years of telly. Money talks!
Great fun and easy to get to, watch for free in some of the filmings for new shows, and participate in a few!
Great to see shows being filmed and famous personalities with good toilet facilities but no beverages sold here... a wide range of programs madevhere to see.
Great - pre booking and queuing involved but hey it's free. Hope it's not raining on the day. Great shows being recorded every week.
Had a wonderful experience watching an episode of QI being filmed here. Very friendly staff.
The London Studios
closed on 30th April 2018
Went to watch the last leg, very well organized, great place.
It's OK, quite dated now and it shows. Inside is more interesting, where all the ITV studios are.
If you haven't got priority tickets then you better be there an hour before the gates open. Non priority tickets are not guarantee for you to enter if you get there late .
I went to see 'Have I got news for you' being filmed last week.
Queueing starts at 5pm, lasts for about 2 hours or so, before another hour waiting in the studio.
I was given a seat that was behind the set. I'm not joking, I could see one of the panelists, the other three and the host were entirely out of view. I do however know exactly what the back of the HIGNFY set looks like.
This means I was forced to watch it on a TV screen (ironic, as I could have done that the next evening at home) and I struggled to hear everything that was going on as everyone was facing away from me. It was definitely not very funny and the people on the opposite side of the studio in a similar seating position to me looked equally deadpan.
The tickets to these events are free, however I felt my role was that of an extra, to fill a seat so that the audience looked full for the camera. It's glaringly obvious that these seats cannot see what's going on, the producers must know this, but they persist nonetheless, taking advantage of their position of providing a free 'live experience'. These seats do not provide that experience and I would suggest that if they want extras on camera then they pay for them. If they simply want an audience, then make sure everyone in that audience can see and hear the show.
I left halfway through filming because it was so awful.
Convenient studios on London's South Bank. Free night out in London
Went to see Mock the Week being filmed. Great show and facilities are good. Only downside was the aircon! Was so cold that on a chilly Autumn evening it was warmer outside!
Appalling - kept audience for Piers Morgan waiting in the freezing cold for 2 hours and then turned people away - a Disorganised shambles and a disgrace to the ITV brand
A great experience. Helpful staff. Easy to get to by public transport and a short walk from at least 5 transport hubs.
Had a fantastic experience and met some lovely people and lots of celebrities.
Best place I've ever worked, so sad it's being demolished.
Sometimes relaxed but often crazy atmosphere but always professional.
Great fun at QI. Showed up about an hour early, which I would suggest to all. It was freezing.
Great shows and free tickets just apply for them !!
