London Borough of Newham, Adults, Community and Leisure Department Review

I went there because is an awesome plane spotting point of London City Airport. Also Nice view on Canary Wharf skyscraper and The Exel

Fraud council.. how can you charge me council tax for a EMPTY PROPERTY! this is worse that organised crime. These use extortionate ways of getting money to pay for expensive decor in their building and their expenses.

From worse to worst. Do not recommend dealing with them. Customer service sntines good other times they aren't v bothered. When submitting any documents /forms with them,make sure you get receipt and name of officer...they are prone to delays and misplacing papers,this s now the 2nd time it s happened to me. Promised to get back in touch and I am the one who has to chase them up endlessly. It s like they don't have enough people and good internet connection there?! Takes forever for officer to find my file every time! Made a v bad impression on me,to be honest and I am neither fussy nor a snob...just expect public services to function,that s it. Probably that is a lot to ask these days and it will only get worse...

They are not accommodating atal. They won't even allow an Educational Visit for two SEN children and three adult and it's a council building wow wow wow. I'm really dissapointed

They deliberately put flaws and obstacles in peoples way to make money from them. Unsure if its just this borough that runs a bad operation or the general government psychologically manipulating infringements in to it's hierarchy.

You HAD been WARNED the worst of the worst rather live in a bomb shelter in Syria than this council. Cannot get a admission for my child it s a loop for department to department. I will have to make a official complain now.
SEN team to Pupil service back and forth. SEN team is mostly out of office so cannot reach them. I have names I won t publically shame them just make a complain this time.

Got penalty ticket . Couldn't see pictures what for and why ? Call in the phone but still no results couldn't see any picture what for I got penalty notice . Why ?

A great place to live if ghettos are your thing. Also, if you re looking to waste your council tax money on useless community improvement project of which there are plenty, do move here.

By the sound of it appalling customer service is on the top of training list for Newham staff. I remember my parents used to get stressed out after talking to a Newham customer service staff & I never knew why but now I know.

They like stealing money of people. Service is very poor

Customer service is unhelpful and once advised to go online, noone responds to queries.

Constant redirection from one team to another.
They are not bothered and are absolute hell

Received a PCN fine and requested pictures as I couldn't download them from the website. Called to ask them to be sent to my address on Friday. Come Wednesday still didn't receive them and had been told that it wasn't sent out!What happened if I didn't find out. This is not the first time they have done this. Phone system is horendous.

Awful Service . Unprofessional and detrimental to newham

Literally the worst, most third world, banana republic council in the country. I would actually move house not to have to deal with these people again. It would be easier to get hold of God himself than to get through to them on the telephone...which would be fine if their online service portal wasn't such a joke. I've dealt with many councils in my time and what Newham get away with is literally jaw dropping. If you have a choice, DO NOT BUY A HOUSE IN NEWHAM!
