Of course, such a large hospital can not satisfy every patient in every aspect. However, I am convinced that the quality of care in psychiatry and psychotherapy at this hospital is significantly better than its reputation. I know a lot of dedicated colleagues who work for the well-being of their patients.

Since there are many complaints about the food: The canteen of the LKH Graz II is certainly one of the best in Styria. Of course you should not expect the award winning number of patients, but what you get to eat is really good for a hospital.

Warning, very bad !!!!
Here there are only finished products (food) without salt or other spices, it usually tastes bland and mushy. The mattress on the bed is almost 5cm high and harder than normal. Back pain guaranteed I was admitted for 1 week without my consent. Quite spontaneously. And then one should also go to school here. You are not allowed to do anything except to sit in the common room you are not allowed to eat anything sweet, no chips or something. Just shit, honestly, preferably 0.1 stars and the 0.1 star just out of pity because it's poor.

I was in child and adolescent psychiatry (closed compartment) for 3 days (December 6th to December 8th, 2019) after I received an over-whitening from LKH Leoben (child and adolescent psychosomatics) from Oa. Dr. Kostial to the Oa. Dr Andritz got. All the caregivers and nurses were very friendly and helpful.

In advance, I found my stay largely successful. But mainly because of the fellow patients who build you up and you pick yourself up so that it gets better.

There are some lovely carers who really want to help and also spread a good mood. On the other hand, there is just the opposite, which then pulls down when a carer is rude and you have the feeling that they are not interested in you.
Even if you ask for a spoon you get annoyed which I don't think is ok, as there are some - including me - who take a lot personally.

I also noticed that two carers were talking badly. A patient and I heard it clearly. "The only thing missing is a deck chair" or "They only drink coffee all day" (haha the caretakers too, just drinking coffee, gossiping and smoking cigarettes) ... I found that under all sow. Is it better if all patients run howling around the area? I do not think so! I am here to stabilize myself and not to fall into a hole anymore.

Above all, you only get coffee in the morning anyway so I don't understand the statement.
If this already happens then please close the door so that the patients don't notice!
I'm here to get out of all the problems outside. So yes, a deck chair may still be missing :)

What I still have to criticize is the drug distribution. As a patient you have to be very careful what you get because you get 300mg instead of 100mg ... or other medications .. that should not be mixed or increased at once. Can be dangerous! That should fit 100% and it happens almost every day!

The food is ok, you can't complain. It is clear that this is not a 5 star hotel!

What I find a cheek is that you have to get out of bed immediately on the day of discharge and it is freshly made so that you have to wait somewhere outside in the aisle with your things until you are picked up. It would be understandable if there was no free bed, but there is one in my room and the patient from the next room could wait until 5 in the afternoon until she is picked up. You are almost immediately put in front of the door, that's how it feels! The bed should belong to the patient until he is finally discharged.

I would like to thank all of the nice and hard-working nurses, my doctor, Dr. Frost always tried to help and cheer you up. I would also like to thank the dear patients who also take care of you and always have an open ear for you. To the unmotivated caregivers: Find something else if it doesn't suit you, very simple.

Thank you and best regards!

Because of my long-term, chronic pain, I was at the center for addiction medicine at my own request to find out whether the opiates I had been taking for a long time were still dosed correctly. So I had the opportunity to observe the daily operations for two weeks. The doctors are incredibly competent, the nursing staff exemplary. In many conversations with patients I have learned that most of those who are hospitalized there voluntarily undergo alcohol or tablet withdrawal therapy. The offer on the ward is incredibly diverse and even goes beyond the medical field. From social workers to craft opportunities to find your way back to everyday life.
Conclusion: top department, top doctors, top nursing staff!

I am currently in the protected area and must say that the performance depends very much on the staff, it is already known which carers sit around rather than acting. However, I do not want to complain about the food, as I am quite special. The therapy in the protected area leaves something to be desired, because one is asked every day just how to do it and the rest of the time sits around and eats. Also, my tablets were often forgotten or suddenly increased, so I could not stand straight.
Thank you!

Had to make a CD on a Fri. was on d. Neuro transferred in the LSF. I have never seen such nice staff in a hospital. That started with d. Recording on. I was lucky that I didn't have to wait long and was finished with the conversation, CD, blood analysis, etc. within a very short time. Were insanely courteous. Sisters and Doctors. Funnily enough, I only dealt with women, but generally speaking ... TOP!
Many thanks to the neuro-staff!
