This will likely become one of my favorite nurseries! I felt welcomed and was allowed to browse at my own pace, while getting questions answered quickly. Loved the eclectic collection of items for sale.

Totally fabulous selection of native plants in one place! And in a big variety of sizes so that you can get smaller starts. and rhubarb starts! And trendy indoor plants like monsteras! And sometimes chicks!!! Agh I'm in love.

This long time neighborhood co-op has recently been lovingly re-envisioned by locals eager to offer space and community through their love of plants and people. Functional, not pretentious, no pressure sales- and doesn t look like every other plant shop in Portland. The plant prices ROCK and they have most of what you need to remedy a lack of green thumb - extremely knowledgeable and pleasant owners running the shop, great advice, books, and supplies - delightful incenses, airy, open feel and bright artwork - Livingscape offers a welcome respite to the stimulating buzz all around this sweet little gem. I will be back...again and again!!

Love this place! Has so many different types of plants and gardening decor and supplies. The employees are very helpful and has a lot of information about the plants and the care. Definitely a treasure in the Heights!

I was visiting my daughter, who lives in Portland, and she took me to Livingscape as she wanted to buy a plant for her new windowless office. We had a great time looking at all their plants talking about what she might want. Then she talked to the proprietor, who was very knowledgeable, and offered up just what we needed. I've learned from her roommates about another plant she would like, so it was and easy decision - I'm calling Livingscape for a gift certificate, so she can get exactly what she wants- just imagining the fun she will having going to Livingscape get it, is an additional gift to me.

The manager is kinda jerkish and they are often times panicked and act harried by the task at hand. There is a good selection of plants and they have nice staff but there is just something about this place that leaves me disappointed every thyme I go in there. So maybe they have what you want or need but often times they are out or don't carry that or you have to go talk to the "Expert" to get even basic information.
So not bad but I like Marbott's better.

We shopped here recently as we knew it traded hands in ownership. I was pleasantly surprised walking into the store as it felt like a home. It's nice that there's a couch in there and it's also surrounded with house plants, so it feels like a home. They carry some kitchenware too, which reminds me of old Mirador store in SE which no longer exists. I bought a pot for my house plant that was actually NOT expensive. They kindly offered to drill a drainage hole, which is super helpful. Can't wait for baby chicks in the spring.

I am very fond of supporting small-business. That being said, I would have liked to see better identification of the native plants on display. And prices are often missing. Parking is extremely Limited, to say the least! I shop there regularly because it is close to my home. However, I have yet to have somebody smile and welcome me, even when I come to the checkout with multiple plants. I get the impression that they have something more important to do than run their business. Maybe it is just a money laundering system for them. Who knows?

I support the native plant cause and I wanted to like this place...but the service was not good. Went in for a plant, they did not have it. The employee then "plantsplained" to me why I shouldn't want that plant without an understanding of my background, the research I have done about the plant, or the site I have planned for it. It felt patronizing. I left and went to Sauvie Island Natives where it was the complete opposite, excellent selection, friendly owners. Too bad Livingscape was a bust for me.

My review is not about the plant availability it's about how I was spoken to. Didn't feel great then, doesn't feel great now.

Fast, good prices, nice people, broad selection of plants and gardening tools and supplies. Much better overall than, say, Portland Nursery or some of the overpriced boutique garden shops in town.

The man at the counter was extremely unhelpful, from the beginning of our interaction over the phone. I called the store and asked if I brought a plant in (of which I was not sure exactly what kind it was) if he could help me identify it, he responds was well I don t know what ever kind of plant in the world is! . Then when I got to the store and asked about needing soil and some other items he didn t attempt to help me once locate the items I asked about. Wanted to support a small local business instead of a big name store but instead walked out frustrated and not with a single item I needed. Will never return there again!

Nice staff person, but completely unhelpful. I came for soil and all I saw was a couple big bags on the front porch. When I asked "are those the only large bags of soil you have?", the girl said "yes." So we had to leave. When I was driving away I saw they had a ton of soil on the other side of a fence... wasn't about to turn around and give them my money after that. Wasted trip. Went out of my way to support local and just lost time in the trip.
