Christopher Cross concert was disappointing last night. We were in the circle and I doubt we could make out 10% of his vocals. Drums and bass were far too loud. Nobody expects to hear the same voice as on the records in the 80s but the minimum expectation is that the mix of the music should allow you to hear the main vocalist. Sad as the actual musicians on stage were excellent.

The performance was terrific and preceded by an interesting and useful talk by the conductor. It's a long and difficult piece that was performed with great vim and precision. My only gripe is that the Phil as a whole has a unadventurous programme. With rare exceptions you might think composition stopped in the early 20th century.

The Philharmonic has some of the best acoustics of any venue in Liverpool. Not only id it a superb venue for listening to classical music but it also suits any type of concert where the music is intricate andcrepays careful listening. That's why many progressive rock artists play there. There are also no restricted views and the relatively small size makes it a very intimate venue.

The music room is small and intimate so no matter how far back your seat is you can still see the acts as clearly as being in the front row. The drinks are expensive but over all a fab place to go

Archaic phone booking system. On hold for over 1 hour, never spoke to anyone, only to ask what did the vip tickets for dixies events include. This type of info was not on the website, only a small description of ticket prices and event summary, so lazy and so transparent. Seat allocation map doesn't work and site need better technology
