It's beautiful. Truly a gem of Liverpool. If the towers open make sure you go up. It's worth the money. Especially on a clear day. If you're lucky you will be able to see as far as the pennine mountains.
Liverpool Cathedral is hands-down one of my favourite places to walk to and around in Liverpool. The architecture inside is incredible, and even outside is a sight to behold! The gardens around the outside are lovely, beautiful in snow and sun. Very central to Liverpool and easy to get to, with parking as well. Its also situated in a lovely part of Liverpool, perfect for a walk around the cathedral and the city!
A wonderful piece of architecture and the Peace Doves are a must see whilst it's still there
Amazing place with a wonderful ambience. Lovely coffee in the cafe too
Impressive gothic cathedral dedicated to Christ, free entrance, has a smaller chapel on the right side. Rooftop with view of the city
Anglican cathedral
Largest cathedral in Britain and eighth largest church in the world
Third tallest structure in Liverpool
Largest pipe organ in the UK
I was fortunate to visit the cathedral & attend Sunday Mass at the side chapel of the cathedral. The architecture was breathtaking. You could cover the place in an hour unless you want to stay back for a mass.
The mass times are available on the official website. You are allowed to take pictures inside but not during a service. All in all a majestic location & you're bound to run into friendly clergy & staff!
Fantastic building to visit, it's just so magnificent and imposing. The cemetery is worth a visit too.
Love coming here. The architecture is stunning and there is always something to see.
Two words really sum this up - Awe-Inspiring!
We visited here for a crafts market being held in the cathedral and even if you weren't buying anything there's an opportunity to get to see the magnificent architecture and religious statues.
It's truly mind-blowing the height and the architecture of the building itself and certainly deserves a good amount of time to fully take in everything and appreciate every nook and cranny.
There are opportunities to climb to the top and take in some amazing views too.
