Lionsgate Child Development Center Reviews

My child has been going here for over six months and she absolutely loves it. The teachers spend time with them and take great care of these kids. My daughter tells me sometimes that other kids are bad and I ask what the teacher does and she says the kids get in time out. It s good to know my child isn t afraid of her class mates and has confidence in her teachers handling situations. Every day she comes home with something she learned, made and a story to tell me about how much fun Mrs. Tracy is!!! This is the best daycare or preschool in Clayton!

We had a VERY bad experience with this school. This was the first school that we tried after moving from cross country. The directors are sweet- however they covered up the incident and said the cameras "weren't working" for about a week - yet they looked and saw what happened the day that it happened. The teacher, Sharon Whitely Hinton grabbed my child on different cases, from what I saw. One time she shook my child by the shoulders IN FRONT OF ME - we just moved so I was assuming she was playing. The second time she held my daughters mouth shut and explained to my child that she did that because she loved her. Not ONLY did she brainwash my child but grabbed her. Seeing that I am self employed and always available to go to the school - they called me 3 hours later. Therefor the marks were gone by then. Sharon Whitely Hinton was fired that day due to the assistant teacher confessing to seeing her do that. The school could of handed over videos- but didn't. Said their system was "down". On two separate occasions I was suppose to meet with cooperate at the Lionsgate Child Development Center and was told by the director, Hedi - that they already came and left. I went on every school field trip they had and it was always a hot mess- hints why I always went to make sure my child was safe. We ended up calling the police, obviously it was child abuse and called the State in to investigate the school - they were cited for several different things according to the investigator working the case. I wouldn't send my child here at all. It isn't worth it. We have our child in another school and love that school.

I love this facility. They are 5 stars in my book. The director, assistant director and teachers are so great. My daughter has grown up here and I wouldn't change a thing. She has learned so much and the teachers genuinely love the kids. I would recommend it to everyone!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! My boys have been in this center for 5 years almost to the day. I love this center and its staff. Everything about this center is amazing!! From getting my boys ready for kindergarten to making sure they have their homework done before I pick them up.

The summer camp is phenomenal and my boys love all the trips they take.

I personally have had no bad experiences with anyone. But kids are kids and they are gonna scratch, bite and hit. The staff always informed me when these took place. And some of the times, my kids were on the giving end and not the receiving end.

But the staff showed nothing but love and ensured me everything was going to be ok. The turn over as far as the teachers go, in my opinion, not everyone is cut out to be a teacher so they have to chose to go down a different path.

If you and your family are in the market for a wonderful daycare facility, look no further. LIONSGATE IS THE BEST THERE IS!!

Don't listen to the few bad reviews! Heidi and Lisa are the best (and parents are crazy)! My son is almost 3 and has been here since he was 8 weeks old. My husband and I did alot of research when choosing a daycare and this one is always on top of our list!

Some people may want to rethink their review for slander Lionsgate has been a wonderful day care to numerous children! Sometimes it's the parents that are the problem

We have had a wonderful experience at Lionsgate after leaving two subpar daycare centers in the area. I would recommend them over and over again. The women in this facility truly love these kids. Our daughter absolutely loves going to school thanks to her experience at Lionsgate.

My child recently started Lions Gate after having a couple of bad experiences at other daycares and separation anxiety. The Director Heidi met us at the door and heard all of my concerns. She was the first Director that I spoke to that formulated a plan to help my son transition there. After only 4 days of this plan I was able to drop my child off, who blew me a kiss and gave me thumbs up as I walked out the door. I couldn't believe it. My child loves his teachers and looks forward to going there, even singing the songs learned during the day at home.

So far I am very impressed with the level of care they give to the kids and would highly recommend this center!

There is a half dollar size bruise on my son's leg. This is what Heidi McCaskey, the Director at Lionsgate Child Development Center, and Glenda Combs (Regional Director for Apple Tree Academies) allow to happen in their care. This is the third time he has been bit by the SAME, KNOWN, biter. He has bitten multiple children, on multiple occasions, over a lengthy period of time. His own teachers call him "the piranha". But yet, because I was upset, and thought they weren't doing enough to protect the children from him, was told "it's not a good fit". We've been there for over a year, and I would challenge them to produce one teacher in that facility that doesn't enjoy my son. But I have heard all kinds of negative comments about the other one. And because he has a difficult home situation, he gets a pass. I'm so heartbroken that my son is being punished. I have even swallowed every bit of pride and practically begged to stay. But "it's not a good fit" because I'm the squeaky wheel.

My daughter loves going here and the staff is top notch. Place is always clean, too.

My family has enjoyed raising my child with the Lionsgate Family since she was 1 1/2 years old.
There are many in-school programs that you can take advantage of dance, gymnastics, and yoga have been a few of my favorites.
Each classroom has centers that are interactive and structured, and teachers communicate what they are learning that week. The teachers are very clever in the curriculum, and introducing new concepts to the children. Besides the hands-on education, clean facilities, and caring leadership and teachers, I most enjoy how my child truly loves her teachers and the Directors, and that Lionsgate is a home away from home.
When a new friend (student) is welcomed to the class, my child will talk about how exciting it is, and they make it such a big deal. Additionally, I feel very comfortable speaking to the teachers and directors on the progress of my child, and rely on them for feedback for how I can work with them to improve. I recommend this facility to everyone I know with a child around this age. I am so glad I found this facility, keep up the good work Lionsgate!

DO not sacrife your kids to these unsanitary conditions!! How is it legel they do not have a cleaning crew, cleaning schedule or inspections outside of DHHS? Each teacher is responsible her cleaning thier room, while the kids are in there, and nobody cleans the common areas or toilets!! Tremendous amount of infection disease spread at this facility.

My daughter loves going to Lionsgate CDC! We started off with 3 days a week and just switched to 5. She's been learning so much! The teachers are amazing and very caring for the children. When I head off to work my mind is at ease because I know for a fact that my daughter is in good hands. LOVE LOVE LOVE Them!!

These Women are amazing. They have my respect and trust. Our daughter has been at Lionsgate daycare for 4 years. It is a wonderful feeling to be able to go to work and focus on my job. I'm not worried because she is safe, happy, and learning.

I can not say enough positive things about Lionsgate and their teachers. I have an infant girl in their care, and she adores her teachers. She laughs and wiggles with delight every morning when I drop her off. The teachers are so attentive and loving toward all the babies. I am incredibly happy with Lionsgate, and encourage you to take a tour. The halls are almost always filled with the sounds of happy laughing children. All the kids I see seem to love their teachers, and are excited to see their friends. I have been nothing but pleased with my girl's teachers, the administrators, and the facility. Love, love, love Lionsgate!

I love the great field trips they take us on like to the parks.

My family and I absolutely love this center! After my daughter turned a year my husband and I put her in daycare. The original center we had her in was AWFUL! The director rushed through the tour, didn't give us any information and numerous times I picked my daughter up with no explanation of what happened that day. After only 3 weeks we pulled her from that center. I contacted Heidi (the director) at Lionsgate the same day I pulled my daughter from the other center. Heidi was wonderful when I came in for a tour. She introduced me to the teachers that would be working with my daughter. We went over ALL the paperwork. She made sure that all my questions were answered. Ever since we've started every teacher knows me and my child as well as all the other children in the center. My daughter has learned SO MUCH she's only been there for 3 months. Her development has improved, and the best part she LOVES being there as much as I love her being there. I have recommended this center to EVERYONE I know in the Clayton area with kids. This a wonderful loving caring center and I couldn't ask for better people to care for my child!!!

Horrible, horrible, horrible!
When I originally toured this center I was very excited for my child to attend but after a few weeks I was shocked to find my infant daughter coming home with severe diaper rash that would disappear over the weekend and return again during the week. Obviously she was not receiving proper care, when I approached the director with this she promised that I would have no more problems. I then arrived early a few times and witnessed babies sleeping on the floor and bottles being propped up as the teacher laid across the floor on her cell phone. Do not place your infant in their care. I have now found an amazing center where I am %100 sure my child is being loved and properly cared for. :)
