I found this company online but could not find an updated application form to apply for teaching. I wrote to them and received no reply. I wrote again, still no reply. I eventually found a new web page and spent 2 days to complete an application form including lesson plans, documents, CV, references. I sent in the application. I tried to call a week later to verify if application had been received and could not contact. I sent a couple of emails over the last few months to see if the application had been received and got no response. I guessed the company must be out of business.
Today by chance (3 months later) I called and got an answer - I was told "our program is full" so I asked at what time of year should I apply to be considered for next year? And then was told, "you don't meet our requirements and I am not obligated to to respond to you, I don't have time"!
I asked which requirements I do not meet so I could ensure to meet them by next year and was told "I don't have time, they are on the web page" so i said I had read everything and was not aware of any requirements I did not meet so some feedback would be appreciated and was told again "I do not have to respond to everyone." I explained that I had followed up with several emails and calls just to ask for acknowledgement that my application was received, again she said, " I do not have to write to everyone"
To be quite honest, I would not want to work for a company that treats people like this and certainly would not send my children to be taught there.
She was very rude, could offer zero feedback or advice for a TEFL teacher trying to start out.
I have been left feeling incredibly disheartened, I just got completely dismissed, which after spending 2 complete days doing the application and meeting all the requirements is a pretty hard pill to swallow.
Best methodology ever to teach kids a new language! They helped me to set up a small class in my home for my daughter and his class friends! I'm super happy by watching their engagement and progress in learning!!
