Run from this company. We used them for 15 years always assuming the service was working in the background. We tested the alarm after a spate of break-ins in the neighborhood and found it was not reporting to the monitoring service or 911. We alerted them to the problem. The service technician came out and told us we needed to upgrade to the "newest" service and the system was not working because we hadn't upgraded. The company thought it was unreasonable for me to suggest that they might have told us we needed to upgrade. Not only did they blame us for the problem, they wanted to charge us 160 dollars to fix it. But wait, it gets worse...
The system wasn't fixed after the technician left. They were called back to the home and this time, since I'd been corresponding with the president of the company, Tad Linder, he showed up too. You'd think, well, that's a good thing...I sure did. NOT. The guy is ill equipped to have a conversation, much less be the public face of a company. Just an unfriendly, rude man. I asked him to compensate us for the loss of trust in his really bad service...later that day, in an email, and remember after being a customer for 15 years, he told us he was terminating our service. Really? This guy runs a company that's in the service business. In my experience, companies reflect the attitudes and values of their leadership. Very true in this case.
RUN AWAY if you see LInder Security coming!
