Lincoln City Libraries - Walt Branch Reviews

I was here for a meeting today and was very impressed with this library. This is a very nice library. The meeting rooms are a good size and the temperature was comfortable. The children's area is amazing! There is a huge selection of books, CDs and DVDs. There are toys, puzzles, and games and even a puppet theater and lots of places to sit and read. If I lived in Lincoln I would come here often. The residents should be happy to have such a great library!

Covid has made visiting this branch extremely unpleasant and some of the employees are quite rude. They have someone policing the front door that demands that you wear a sticker upon entering.(The sticker is your time of entry and you are limited to 2 hours) If you are just there to quickly pick up a book or pay a fine, they still insist that you wear a sticker. I politely told the woman that I was just picking up a book off the hold shelf and kept walking, she shouted at me as I walked away that I had to have a sticker in order to be in the library. On another visit, I was looking for a book, with no one else nearby, and I had my mask pulled below my nose and I had an employee approach me and tell me to pull up my mask. I'm tired of the silly Covid nonsense and control. Reminder, this is public building supported by tax dollars and not a private business.

I go here every week! The space is clean and quiet and the staff is very helpful. It s easy to set up a library card, check out books and request books to be placed on hold for you. They have an amazing selection of audio books that you can listen to on your phone via app, and a large selection of movies and TV shows on DVD to check out.

Awesome books. This place cares so much, they have a fabulous selection of books and great children s area. Everyone I ve spoken with have been so kind and friendly.
