Very hot and uncomfortable I do think they should control the heating. My eczema reacts to heat and the rooms were so uncomfortably hot had difficulty sleeping

Nice staff and very affordable. But the 4 bed room is small like a prison cell. You don't even have room for a bag
The photos on the web are far from what you find when you arrive ... The friendliness is missing, the cleaning does not exist and it is notorious not in a specific place, but in the whole hostel. The location is good, it is easy to move from here to the most popular places.
Its not too bad, the room and bathroom were clean but tiny. Staff was nice. The fridge was dirty and full, so maybe a good idea to get a bigger one :)
The reception very well, are very friendly. But the hotel does not respect the rules of hygiene and health. Honestly it's disappointing.
So the title hostel or hotel is not justified, dump or shed is more appropriate. All rooms are dirty, there is not even a hook where you can hang clothes. It is ailing, the roof is leaking and it molds almost everywhere. In no case book actually - 10 stars.
+ : Very friendly staff, clean bed and linen, quite clean toilets and showers. Nice common room with a tables and a big TV screen.
- : Doors make noise when closing and opening, not nice during the night. Bed ladders clinking. No lockers in rooms.
Check in was easy, and the common room was very nice. Lots of plugs. I stayed in one of their 9 bed rooms and they are bunk beds with 3 beds. I felt a little uncomfortable climbing to the top as a plus size person as it was very rickety. They do have lockers but you have to rent them and they aren't in your rooms.
I advice you to NOT choose this location for your trip to London.
Although it's close to the center, the bedrooms are way too small.
There is no space for your luggage. We were in a room for 9 people, and I had to sleep with the suitcase in my bed.
It's also not that clean, even for a hostel.
Worst and shabby hostel I ve ever been in. The stuff was very nice but the rest was just so dirty and the air so breathtaking that my stomach turned. I wouldn t recommend this hostel at all. Furthermore, the breakfast was terrible. The only thing offered was white toast and cereal.
Super small rooms for 12 people (like literally 20 square meters) but exceptionally good wifi
Very good hostel, if you want sleep some night in london at Canary Warf
Staff are very helpful. I have to particularly mention Rebecca who is a very charming lady who makes you feel at home any time of day and Madeline a nice and pleasant welcome they give you. over all the entire staff there are great bunch to deal with.
Exactly what we wanted it to be. Clean, cheap, quiet, with friendly staff.
It is not expensive but is clean and neatly slightly bent
Very dirty bathroom! Scuffed blankets and pillows! And very unmotivated staff!
I really don't care if this is what you get for not paying much, but it wasn't nice. Breakfast was not fulfilling and not good (toast and cereals), some rooms were PACKED with people and the bathrooms were small and uncomfortable. You couldn't even rent towels but had to BUY them. There was so much noise from a different school group and they didn't do anything against it. Hated staying there.
Most disgusting hostel I have stayed In, very unhygienic, mess everywhere, toilets didn't look like they had been cleaned in weeks. Room doors didn't close properly. Grime and mold build up everywhere. Laundry room was filthy.
Very clean & modern hostel. Staff was not friendly at all & the wifi was out most of my stay. Very close to the metro, not surrounded by many pubs or much to do. Very good price & would stay again!
This hotel is ...
Let's start with the few positives: very pleasant and helpful staff and aware of our problems. AND THAT'S ALL.
The negatives ...: Room 6 was small, limiting the bathroom is larger than the bedroom. The room is dirty there is dust everywhere, the hardware in the bathroom is broken.
The orange juice is water and powder, it is drinkable limit, it is better to take WATER for breakfast. He also had mornings when he didn't have a spoon and we were forced to eat with a knife
Unfortunately, we came across a room near the main street, where we smelled of cigarettes and cocaine. There were young children in the room. This is unacceptable. So we were able to change rooms.
The entrance looks pretty good. When I entered my room (a room of four), I had the feeling that I had just entered the prison, but that would have been better equipped. There was not even a toilet in the room. The food was noticeably very cheap. The room might have an area of two square meters. Between the two bunk beds maybe an Ethiopian would have fit through. The mattresses were also very disgusting. Incidentally, if you have too little hair on your head, then you will certainly find what you need in the shower. Being sociable, you are well served, as the doors do not close properly.
Good location and good service. The facilities are fine, but the maintenance and cleaning is very bad. The rooms were dirty, the common kitchen a disgusting one. They have clean sheets and the beds are comfortable but the rooms too small and as I said very dirty. There were even banana peels from several days ago, papers, etc. The regular atmosphere, there were many tourists but there also seemed to be indigent type people or something like that. I would not repeat.
One of my favourite hostels in London, close to the tube, clean, cheap, friendly staff, perfect for sight seeing and visits to the Troxy venue!
This hostel is orribile,I payed for 24 night and after 3 I been asked to leave, they didn t give me back my money, just because I was drinking a beer that I didn t buy in there (They sell alcohol),the rooms are so dirty and small, the toilet? Which you find on the motorway are cleaner.
Staff? They are useless, they don t speak English enough to understand what they are saying.
At the reception, if you ask for an information, they will say: ( I m not Google, ask him).
Honestly I ll not recommend this place to no one.
I just wish you will spend my money in medicine ( Karma will find the best time)
If you are looking for a place to stay, there are much better hostel than this one.
This hostel could really do with a renovation and more regular deep cleaning. There are some areas which are smelly, and most of the bathrooms seem very dirty. Kitchen and roof area are locked up fairly early. However, it is usually a very low price to stay here, and I love the location by the marina and river. There are worse places to stay, so for the positives, it just scrapes a 3 star rating from me
It is a temporary resting place and good on the one hand it is cheap for the rest of the hotels especially if the person alone is only a bed in the room.
i hate it here! i went here for my school residential and on the first night there were people doing weed in the room next to us and banging on our door and the only action taken was us moved to the room infront of reception. they werent even kicked out. we were scared and got told by security to be quiet. wouldn't recommend AT ALL
Get what you pay for. My first hostel experience so I can't really compare. Room was small and hot, my friends had some issues in the bigger dormitories. Staff were friendly, communal area is nice to hang.
A nice place for a short stay. I was there only for one night (and not a long one either) and it was perfectly okay. The bed was quite comfortable, although if I had the middle or top bunk I'd probably be telling a different story. The bottom bunk was okay though. Even in a mixed 12 bed room there was own bathroom which was nice. Beds were clean, so was the bathroom, although a bit tattered witch frequent use. Breakfast in the morning was okay though I came in a moment when there were no plates free and the toast machine broke, but that's hardly the staff's fault! Everyone was perfectly polite. And since a bunch of us came to the concert in the Troxy (which is like 10 minutes walk, very convenient!), in our separate bookings we asked to be accommodated together and in a lot of cases we were, which was very nice. The only minus was that the advertised lockers were unavailable due to large number of people. The reception did offer to hold or the valuables for free though, so that wasn't that bad. All in all, good stay.
I went on a school trip in April we were ultra poorly housed we were in a closet for nine people and we can say it was DEGEULASSE I NOT RECOMMENDED
People in our room and was meant to be booked only for us. I was absolutely gutted
Really good cheap place to stay in London. The staff are all brilliant especially Raz the guy on of an evening who can never do enough to help you
Very hot eventhough there was a fan ,the windows dont open more than a crack .creaky beads and very dodgy people. Next to a busy road and train line
We were there on a graduation trip and there is no description of the condition there ... When we arrived the staff was rude. In addition, the boss simply came into our room with her key without knocking. We were in the hostel for 1 hour and then drove to the nearest supermarket and bought cleaning supplies for over 20 pounds.
There was hair and other liquids of every color on the beds, I don't want to talk about the bathroom. We didn't even have dinner there because there was hair and other weird stuff in there. In addition, one day there were potatoes that no one ate and the next day there was potato casserole that no one ate again.
I am glad that I did not take any illnesses home with me or that I suffered longer damage.
Don't take a room in the basement it is very dirty and there is mold in the bathroom
Very good location. Near the bus stop, near the train and metro. A good place for a short stay.
Non-cultural customers.
Not the cleanest hostel I've been to. Reception staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms/dorm was small but that's what you pay for. It's about 15 mins from brick Lane by taxi. There are a couple of low budget options for food in the local area but generally you'll likely want to head into town for food requirements
The place is dirty and the room smell like a fish. I have had a bad memories in this place. One day is necessary.
This is not good because there was a lot of flying in the shower and everything stunk behind the beds was only dirt and ants run long
But what is good is that the Wi-Fi is running well and the food is ok.
Horrible place to stay, we were given a basement room which was hot and smelled mouldy, and had no windows. Bunk beds are unsafe and not secured to the floors. Most rooms have bunks that sleep 3, so the top bed is scary. We got a locker and got given abket to a locker that was full already, good job we are honest as we could have helped ourselves to someone else's stuff. Other guests noisy all night. Bathrooms fairly basic and grim. Even the orange juice at breakfast is clearly watered down. Felt unsafe most of the time. One night was one too many.
Basically a nuisance for the area. Kids on school trips etc stay there and then run about ringing bells at night, throwing trash onto people's property, etc. The constant smell of weed around the building is calming at least.
- Rooms are too small to even fit two beds in them.
- Toilets are outragesly dirty and therefore unuseable.
- Temperatures are way to high and rooms get too warm to live in them (Windows are not completely able to be opened and way to small to refresh the air in any room).
- Door handles brake apart upon touching them and the wallplugs are either without electricity or brake off the walls entirely.
Overall just awful.
Rooms were small and bathrooms were not clean and hygienic. The breakfast was also minimal. This made the experience not to really enjoy
This will only engage me ... An inn for penniless visitors! They also have the right to travel ... Very cheap in a place FOR ME ... magically and REALLY ideally placed But it might not please some people
Very good location, decent view, close and easy access to main rail and bus networks
Those who are not so moldy, lack of space, nocturnal floods and vermin should avoid this hostel.
This place is nothing special but it does have a nice paint job. Communal kitchen is tiny for so many rooms and it seems as though the staff don't really care too much but it is cheap for London and walking distance to Canary Wharf and a few other places with good bus and tube links.
This place is cheap!
The internet is poor, when there are too many people in the kitchen area (ie school groups) the internet cuts out.
Hostel room are tiny, no room to sort luggage and not overly relaxing environment. Better value is found else where.
Hidden hotel so difficult to find even with the help of the GPS is still possible, the toilet is not maintained at all ...
On the stretch of the river banks .. definitely in the heart of Docklands .. right next to @HSBC Business Banking head office
Great budget hostel friendly staff clean rooms and bathrooms. Nice clean linen, comfortable beds. Big lounge great for study or chill out. The hostel is generally in good shape. They have laundry and kitchen, also continental breakfast is available.
Nothing to complain about really.
Friendly staff, conceal wifi, relatively clean and quiet kitchen too small.
The hostel has in no way earned the name of a decent place to stay. It advertises high hygiene and food standards, but as soon as you look at the building it becomes unmistakably clear in which conditions the guests will be staying.
The building and its interior design are worn out and not worthy of shelter. The lobby is populated by numerous people at night and during the day who are obviously not guests. The staff has two sides: one half is helpful and the other half either doesn't understand English or doesn't have the verve to respond to visitors' requests.
The rooms are small, far too small and sparsely furnished. The beds are in the smallest of spaces without additional space for clothes, such as cupboards. Some rooms have a bathroom with a shower, toilet and washbasin. All of these are lined with mold and are characterized by dirt streaks and urine stains. The ventilation, if any, is poor. The windows are leaking and have condensation in the morning. Some rooms don't even have windows.
The food shines through its simplicity. Breakfast is served as a subtle buffet, as there is only ham and cheese for toast, as well as several jams. There is orange juice, milk and water, all of which taste roughly the same. Even at dinner there is often rich and rich food that does not go well with each other. For example: fries, pasta and burgers together. It is advisable to bring your own spices.
Lastly, perhaps it should be mentioned that this hostel may only benefit from using purchased reviews. Because it is noticeable that some reviews actually speak of 5 stars!
Great WI fi staff cheap clean modern dying ex dock wastelands of Southampton n Portsmouth could do with places like this
A 9-person room like a prison cell, a small cubicle, no key cabinets provided. The room and bathroom very dirty - an unpleasant smell. The bedding also left a lot to be desired. The hostel gives the impression of a homeless shelter - unpleasant tenants in the room. Location pretty good.
The only thing that you could say about the accommodation is that you aren't sleeping on the streets, don't think the room I and 6 others were in would pass any type of inspection. But at least two of the bunk beds would not toppled over as the space between could not be more than 600mm's. I don't recommend this place as a good representation of the Eastend at all.
Not walkable from city centre but there is a bus stop next to the hostel. Room (private twin) is a bit stuffy. Wifi is good.
Nice room and staff.
But the promised free WiFi was so slow you couldn't even load sites like Google, and it would often not even log in.
The rooms were super noisy, with doors slamming and no sound proofing.
The worste Place to be ,in the worst Part of London. The Breakfast is absolutely Bad the rooms are so small and dirty ,that our 14 Hour long Trip with the bus was more comfortable. There were plenty of People trying to sell drugs in Front of the Building and every 20 minutes there is a Ambulance driving Next to it. The toilets are dirty and the showers are Not worth mentioning. For that Price i would recommend Sleeping under a Bridge.
Really grimy and poorly maintained. My friends and I shared a room on the second floor. The room clearly hadn't been cleaned for a while as there was dust and bits of food all over, we even found a stack of door cards left by previous occupants. The corridor leading to the room was filthy, with bits of rubbish all over. Two of the showers were unusable one without a lock and another without a light. Hand drier in the toilet area didn't work and there wasn't an alternative, so people were just drying their hands with toilet paper and leaving it in the sinks. No towels in the rooms, which would be fine had we been told this at the point of booking, or if there were any at reception to "rent" (they had run out!). All in all it was not a pleasant trip and I would only recommend this place if you are on a very tight budget.
The hostel was nice, however the room was very warm (hottest day in London though)
Need more@biger fridge@freza better Internet it's two slow and people keep taking my bed and need better breakfast Full English don't be tight owner)))
Well... It is cheap. And not so very tidy. There is no locker on the bedroom. Staff is ok. It's easy to get to the city, there is a busstop directly in front and the DLR is near.
So, you get what you need. But they really need to work on the cleanliness. I won't go there any more.
It's a convenient budget hostel for spending a few nights in London. Well situated and connected by bus and tube to reach easily all major tourist attractions. Staff tries its best to keep it clean and friendly and even clean your plates after having breakfast. Rooms are small and bathrooms are shared and those who do not appreciate it, should book a hotel and not a hostel! Really cannot understand all those people just complaining about everything, expecting 5*+ service for the amount of a campground place ...
Everything clean and with good connection to the center, a good place to spend a few days.
Well, you can sleep, and so a good place for the head.
Dorms were in acceptable conditions but kitchen was filthy and ill equipped. No free lockers. Outside the city centre so not the best if you want to make the most of a short trip.
Correct and have everything you can ask for. Good value for money, but do not expect a hotel, this is a cheap hostel. The rooms are small but well distributed and you have many room options: private, with bathroom ... As a matter of improvement, they are too hot in the summer, there is no air conditioning and not all have a fan. The attention is very friendly, the connection with the very good center and the very correct common spaces.
Good value for money. Cheap, quick and easy. Staff is super friendly and supportive.
