Limak Kosovo International Airport Review

Pristina International Airport is an international airport located 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) south-west of Pristina. The Airport has flights to numerous European destinations. From 12 to 26 June 1999 there was a brief but tense stand-off between NATO and the Russian Kosovo Force in which Russian troops occupied the airport. A contingent of 200 Russian troops deployed in Bosnia and Herzegovina then crossed into Kosovo and occupied the airport in Pristina. The apron and the passenger terminal were renovated and expanded in 2002 and again in 2009. In June 2006, Pristina International Airport was awarded the Best Airport 2006 Award by Airports Council International (ACI). Winning airports were selected for excellence and achievement across a range of disciplines including airport development, operations, facilities, security and safety, and customer service. On 12 November 2008, Pristina International Airport received for the first time in its history the annual one-millionth passenger (excluding military). A special ceremony was held at the airport where the one-millionth passenger received a free return ticket to a destination of his choice served by the airport. Due to the ongoing dispute between Serbia and Kosovo, flights to and from Pristina International Airport are impacted by the refusal of ATC in Serbia, namely SMATSA, to allow overflights via Serbian airspace. This ultimately results in flight paths avoiding Serbian territory with flights to Pristina having to enter via Albanian or Macedonian airspace. This dispute can generally add up to 30 minutes to a flight duration and discussions to overcome this dispute have so far failed. Being the only operational airport in the immediate region, any diversions would ultimately have go to either North Macedonia, Albania or Bulgaria, given that the Gjakova Airport is still a closed facility.

Probably the best smaller airports ive been in, its the most modern airport in the balkans.

Dreadful. Today a Bujar Gashi didn't want us to check in after he called us to him. When I told him that I was only expecting a service as a customer. He told me he got his wages somewhere else. Something like that doesn't belong in an international airport

Pristina International Airport is not a big size airport depending on the small size of Kosovo which has a Population of about 1.9million but meets the International Standards with world class facilities. The officials at the airport are very friendly and welcoming. My entry and exit of Kosovo wouldn t have been better, they are just great.

Parking in the free airport, in the interior of the clean and quiet airport, the correct staff had no problem.

The Adem Jashari International Airoprt of Prishtina has many services not just to Albanians, they serve the same way to turkish people because of the management. Limak is a coorporate from Turkey that turned the old Prishtina airport to a large small airport with a lot more and good services better than Sofia Tirana Skopje Belgrade Airports. The reason why its better than the others its because its very new. Greetings to Istanbul iGA Airport. Massive services. Been there. Enjoyed there.

Manageable airport. I was kindly and VERY closely controlled every time.

Modern airport. Great architecture inside, very nice outside area with a statue that symbolizes our war hero which this airport is named after Adem Jashari . This airport has restaurants, bar, place for praying. Very clean hall and clean bathrooms. Needs improvement in variety of flights in different cities around the world.

European standard !! Check in in 3 min. Passport control in 2 min.

Awesome airport, one of the best in the Balkans! Even compares to Swiss standrads it's very good. A lot of variety in food and you can easily spend several hours there.

Every time I land in the Pristina airport I am always greeted with a smile and the words "Welcome" from passport control. Every time. Wow! No other country has greeted me so warmly. I love Kosovo and this airport.

The police don't respect. I'm Jordanian I'm travelling from Istanbul to Pri tina when the police take my passport for check it tell me where's your money and the return ticket I show him my money and the ticket just was one way because when I buy the tickets for airport Istanbul tell me u want return here told him no I want go to visit Egypt then tell me I will give you one way and from there u can buy told yes sure! So when I come the police tell me back to Turkey again tell him tell me why I back I Booked hotel and now if u want buy ticket return after 10 days tell me sorry back I don't back and I'm in room closed in airport Pri tina I be to now 10h don't give me phone to call my Embassy nothing... And before I come here I call the Embassy of Kosovo told him 1 2 3 I want travel to Pri tina I'm Jordanian they tell me welcome to your Other country I be happy but I think the welcome is at prison in room alone... Please someone send me something to know what I do

The efficiency of this place comes as a surprise, not what you would expect from a place like this.
Even when crowded, the staff responds immediately, especially at the customs.
The building is also well designed and modern but it seems the place is not well maintained as it should.

It's a small airport. Limak runs, I think Limak made again.
Like the miniature of Sabiha Gokcen.
There are several dudy free shops inside.
They don't squeeze too much like we do.

For years we have been loyal customers, but since today we will take family distance from Airprishtina. Today, 12.10.19 the flight Prishtina-Cologne flight number EW6606 (performed by Eurowings) was occupied by only 100 passengers. The remaining 50 people were not allowed to travel with them and were either transferred or redirected via Hamburg. For us personally, this is a detour of 750km! Now my wife is sitting in the middle of Hamburg Airport at night and can not get out of there. In the airport of Prishtina you were assured that a shuttle service via Hamburg-Cologne appears, but in vain! In addition, she was also assured an overnight stay in a hotel, nobody in Hamburg Airport knows that! I will take legal action and sue Airprishtina for damages. The behavior of the airline seems to me corrupt and criminal.

Free high speed wifi everywhere in the terminal. Burger menus between 3,5 - 6 . . Limited charging opportunities in the terminal. To go downtown 25 by taxi but can be negotiable. No bus or minibus to downtown. There is no money exchange office but there is bank which works limited hours. You better bring some euro from your country cuz there is no exchange office in entire city. Some banks does some does not. If you have to wait for flight go 1st floor and find the escalator which goes 2nd floor. There is comfy couch and plugs and wifi there.

On May 1, a new public transport line Pristina-Airport-Pristina 1A was launched.
On the airport website you will find the location of the airport bus, travel schedule and a map of departure stations from Pristina and from the airport. Ticket price 3 EUR.

At Pristina Airport, bus 1a leaves from the bus station, there is a bus stop on Garibaldi street near the Grand Hotel.

The movement of bus 1A starts at 3 in the morning from the city, at 4 from the airport, the last bus leaves from the city at 20.00, from the airport at 21.00, the bus runs every hour, according to the schedule.
A bus ticket can be bought from the bus driver.
From the bus station to the airport about 30-35 minutes.

This place is amazing,for me its amazing the lines to go to the terminal were like to 1 min or 2 min.You can sleep here to plus you have amazing wifi!its works 24,7!

Nice little airport. Had actually earned 5 stars. But this antisocial, incompetent and arrogant staff at the check in is the reason why you can only award one star here. Even that's too much.

The airport is actually quite well structured etc. The people who work there are the last. Competence? Nothing! Customer focus ? Nothing! Snootiness? VERY WELL AVAILABLE! Arrogance? NATURALLY AVAILABLE.
To the staff: behave like civilized people and not like some backworlders. Service, customer orientation and NOT constantly looking at your Viber, Whatsapp, Instagram or Messenger account would be an advantage.

It is a small but practical airport, there is a bus to the city center every half an hour (until 21:00), do not take a taxi and get ripped off. Taxi drivers are not honest with tourists.

The worse posible place!!!!! i am albanian but the reason of hating coming back is this people that work here very arogant and non educated probably all the diplomas they have they paid like the rest of people unfriendly and ignorant i traveld from NYC to ISTAMBUL but the wors experience is coming to this Airport i plane to go and meet my family somwere in europe Germany or Swiss i didnt travel in 3 years to kosova but this experience makesme not travel in 10 years !!!! The airport prishtina is really well organized and fast. It is a small airport and therefore very clear. The staff is always friendly. The airport is always clean. There is parking in front of the airport, wherever there is free parking.

A small and moder Airport . The staff is very friendly. The distance to the City Prishtina is about 25 min .

I haven't been there in 15 years but I just recently traveled there two months ago, the staff and police are very friendly. It is one of the best airports I have been so far. If your coming from Arabic country with one way tickets of course you are going to be under investigation because you can be a terrorist who knows, but God bless them because they are doing a great job. To all the others talking bad about this airport you have to be one of those Slavic countries

PRN is the only airport in the world where I have seen how the staff is in control of passengers and their luggage
forced a pregnant woman to go through that 'door' with a magnetic field despite her insistence that the gynecologist in Germany told her not to do so because the dangers or consequences that the magnetic field could bring to the embryo have not been studied ... in short said, either has to go through that 'door' or not travel at all ..

You need to have order at check in. It is very disappointing when you have two single flights and it takes 2+ hours to check in. No one understands the importance of a single file line. There should be security to direct people. It is a very small airport for these things to happen. Do you see a single line in the picture below?

PRN Prishtina International Airport i can say that is the best in Balcan,cause he has very good services and he is modern

I guess it's the only airport on town, so you don't have a choice. And everything is expensive if you compare it to others
