If I could give negative starts I would. I walked in there simply asking for help today, and the lady working was so incredibly miserable she didn t want to help at all. Nothing to say besides what when I asked her for help. I walked right out. Go to Home Depot. Their customer service is 100 times better than this place.

The staff here was very attentive and helped to narrow my selection of a track lighting system. All my technical questions such as the output in lumens, color temperature, total circuit load, etc., were answered. I also got a 20% discount on my order. What's not to like?

Just love this place. Walking in to beautiful displays with lots of options. If they don't have it on display, they are happy to help find something that works for you. Slowly I've been remodeling my home and now have added decor and rugs to the lighting. Sales staff or owners happy to offer suggestions if you need a little inspiration. Latest project: Glam powder room with antique mirrors. It's only two small crystal fixtures, the mirror gives the infinity look.

I bought a light online and when I opened, it was not what I expected. I called to ask if I could exchange it and was immediately accommodated. The owner allowed me to browse around and made suggestions before finding the perfect light for my baby s room. Awesome customer service!!!

I found the Lighting Expo to be an enchanting experience. Great selection and a very accommodating staff. Their prices were significantly lower than some of their 'competitors'. While shopping, Joe, made me feel like he was my personal assistant, yet without any pressure. I purchased 4 items and am having a lamp rewired, as well. Glad to have stopped by the Lighting Expo.

We just left Lighting Expo and we have to tell you Joe Randazzo provided awesome service. We bought a fixture 15+ years ago from LO and couldn't find a light bulb we needed. The ones we were using were blowing out. He explained why and then found the light bulbs we need on Amazon. Then sent the link to the bulbs via email to my account.

The next lighting fixture we buy will be from Joe Randazzo. Great service, knowledgeable and friendly. Thanks Joe!

Visited in Nov-2014. Store was poorly kept up / borderline dirty. The sales guys were borderline grimy. Decent inventory, most of it sub-$200, but not even a patch on Capitol Lighting, esp the East Hanover Capitol store. Prices weren't better either. Overall, not worth the trip. Disappointed.

Like most Lighting Supply Centers, this place is crowded beyond belief. The stock is incredibly diverse. The only problem we've ever had there, was a lack of help. Sometimes, transactions aren't as easy as walk-in, take one off the shelf, pay for it. Sometimes homeowners need help in choosing, distinguishing, selecting. And for that, you may have to wait.

If I could issue zero stars, I would.

If I could issue zero stars, I would.
My husband and I were looking for a floor lamp for our living room yesterday. When we walked in, no one greeted us, but that was OK. We arrived early, when the store first opened.
We looked around for a few minutes and then made our way over to the register area. The one "sales" person mentioned to the other that he already had a customer so he could help us. I mentioned I had a picture of a lamp style that we were interested in and showed it to him. The first thing he said to us was NO ONE is going to have this in stock, so if you want this, we'll have to order it. If you need it right away, you are going to have to wait, it'll have to be ordered. No one anywhere is going to have this on their showroom floor. He then proceeded to just stare at me. Never once mentioned that he could help me or show me some styles from a book of what I could order. Basically it seemed, no, actually, he made us feel as though we were a HUGE bother to him. A big ole waste of his time. Guess he didn't want a sale from us. Needless to say, we left.
I will NEVER purchase anything from this place and I will make sure to tell everyone I know not to ever purchase from this place. I've been in sales and customer service for 15 plus years and this is some of the worst I've seen.
A HUGE shout out to the Lighting Store in Paramus. Friendly, helpful service. I ordered my new floor lamp without a hitch!!! I actually spent more than I had originally budgeted because I found something to order that I really loved

I needed some heavy decorative black chain to rehang a very large chandelier in my home and with the electrician's meter ticking I was having an impossible time finding anything sturdy enough at one of the big hardware chains. I called Lighting Expo and got Joe, my guardian angel. Not only did I get some chain (he didn't even charge me because he climbed up high in his showroom and gave me some extra of his own!) but I wandered through the beautiful selection of lighting and fans and ended up purchasing a ceiling fan/light too! Great customer service and knowledge. Ask for Joe!

Poor experience. Went into the showroom, the place was very dark as most lights were turned off including rooms and complete isles. One lady was helping customers. I politely excused myself to interrupt her and asked for the one section of lights to be turned on. After no response I asked again which then the lady snapped at me giving me the assumption that she heard my first request and chose to ignore me and responded that I have to wait. I proceeded to walk around the store to waste time as I found a chandelier that I wanted to purchase. I did see a gentleman and a woman who seem to be the owners that saw me walking around and proceeded to ignore me and stay in an office.
After trying to be patient a little more, I chose to leave which at that point all three of them were standing around the open desk chitchatting. It was evident they were not interested in my purchase. None of them ever asked if I needed some help as a waited for their dog to move so I could exit the store. Highly would not recommend due to their poor customer service levels.

When I first moved into the Packanack Lake neighborhood of Wayne (in 1996), Lighting Expo was one of the first places I went while remodeling my home. The other day I stopped in to see if I could get a part to repair a lamp that I didn't even get there. Joe found the part I needed and gave it to me. This is why folks should support small business in their community. This is a great place to get all sorts of lighting.

The staff is very friendly and helpful and they have a great selection with reasonable prices. Their fixtures are quality, too. We have bought a fan and light fixture here, and a larger fixture more recently. After 7 years the fan and light are still holding up, still working perfectly, and the fan is still not making any sound when it turns. I would recommend it to anyone looking for new light fixtures, fans, etc. Definitely a good place and they will most likely have something that you like.

Once again, I am pleased with my experience. The salesperson was extremely knowledgeable, shared design suggestions, and spent a good deal of time with me. I highly recommend Lighting Expo for the high touch customer service that is often lacking from big-box stores.
