Lighthouse - Poole Arts Trust Limited Review

Not easy to get out once the show had finished. Some of the audience went out a fire door but found it was alarmed and had to turn around all the people who had followed us!! Where were the theatre staff to usher us out??

Great building, very nice and good selection of shows

Great venue, just a shame the closest car park is extremely tight and spaces are really small

Enjoyed seeing this year's panto Cinderella with a modern twist. Lots of fun. Buttons very good. The two ugly sisters outfits were great also their performance. Definitely recommend.

Great venue, recently refurbished very modern with a touch of ..the Fifties (?!)

Love the welcoming atmosphere disappointed that the cafe /restaurant wasn't open looking forward to afternoon treat before the film

Just been to see Jack and the Beanstalk, wonderful experience,friendly staff, comfortable venue,pantomime amazing, cast put their whole heart into it, so lovely to the children there,wonderful stuff, hope to come back to Poole next year(live in torquay)

The Lighthouse has such a good variety of arts events, including ones for children. You can find music, dance, plays, comedy, all sorts. It has a good little bar and cafe.

Great venue. Great location. Great food. Great staff. Great show.

Staff are really friendly and the theatre is comfy and intimate leading to a great experience. The shows are always varied and there is so much choice. Drinks are good prices and plenty of snacks available

Just been to fabulous show A ELO tribute band they were brilliant lots of people up dancing. The lighthouse centre was very nice. Seating very good. Happy to go again.

Multi venue Arts centre. A cinema that I have never visited. But the Concert is spacious when seating with good leg room..

Excellent venue, often go here for films, talks and sometimes concerts. Wide range of events. Easy access, friendly staff.

Lovely performance of Othello in the Lighthouse theatre tonight, aided by visual speech aids. Loved it!

Attended a superb performance of 'The Messiah on the 12th December. At the interval my wife noticed she had lost her brooch. Thankfully it had been found/handed in to the staff. Many thanks to Jackie and her team for the a wonderful service.

Visited to see the Bournemouth Symphony orchestra perform iconic music from popular films. It was fantastic. Venue is lovely. Acoustics in the concert hall are great and seating is we laid out. This was my second visit and would love to go again.

GREAT venue with plenty of parking nearby. Clean and spacious foyer and good size bar outside of the hall itself which inevitably gets very busy during the interval as do the toilets . The car park immediately behind the venue can be quite slow to empty after an event so try one of the other nearby options.

Excellent for the xmas proms with the fantastic Bournemouth symphony orchestra.

Great venue.... went to see BSO do Pink Floyd. The concert included chorus rock band & the BSO. Thrilling concert & a very enthusiastic conductor who loves his job. The finale was unbelievable they played Another Brick in the wall. Absolutely fantastic.

The venue was amazing and I the theatre inside was spectacular and very big it was an excellent experience and had a very good atmosphere to set the scene of the play I had been to see (Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde) the four people who took part in the play preformed it very well I would give the whole experience 5/5 stars

Not very good at all.
I was told running time was 1hr 24min and after 2 hours, I had to leave early and run to my car, in order to avoid a parking ticket!

Outstanding venue, easy access, light and airy, comft seats. Loads of parking

Went to see queen last night at Lighthouse Theatre. Fab night. Lovely theatre.

Saw the ballet, Swan Lake, excellent. Had a meal in cafe afterwards, food was beautiful, reasonably priced, would go again.

Fantastic venue. We had a work conference there. They were so warm and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. They made sure we had everything we needed for our day and for our workshops. Would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone. Well done for all your hard work

A varied programme of theatre and cinema covering all tastes. Well worth a visit.

Went to see the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra here the other week. The acoustics are amazing you can here everything! The building is modern and clean and the staff helpful. Drinks are moderately priced and you can pre-order interval drinks. Well worth a visit

good venue, they manage the crowds at the bar well.

We went to see Star Wars in the little cinema they have, a pleasant and sophisticated experience.
A lounge to wait in with a bar, toilets close to hand before the start of the film.
Clean and light cinema greets you once the usher has checked your tickets, watch a few adverts, have some ice cream the usher has brought in and then to the film.
Sound and picture quality are good.
After the disappointing experience at the other cinema complex in Poole Poole arts centre is a revelation

Good experience, good drinks on offer coupled with a stunning performance by the BSO

Great night watching Ben Elton who was extremely funny seats were spacious & comfortable & atmosphere in venue was brilliant will definitely return!

I visited the cinema and I have to say the sound and projection equipment are superb!

Love going to watch films, concerts or shows here. Always a good experience.

Comedy club had a few funny acts. However the room was slightly on the cold side.

Clean comfortable seats with a very good views of the stage. Plenty of helpful staff. Needs to make announcements before performances about no recording of events - it's disrespectful. Other theatres adopt far more aggressive approach to this issue.

Great place. But why are there never enough ladies toilets in such places?

Had not been there for about 3yrs the upgrade is very good wide isles disabled chairs nicely accommodated coffee lounge. Will return

Attended the mini bso concert which we were pleasantly surprised with. Not knowing what to expect we were given a wonderful hour of exquisite music and interactive learning of the history of the pieces played. Thank you for a fantastic concert.

Spent a great Friday evening watching The Marriage Of Figaro at the Lighthouse Poole, such a good start to my weekend.

Good venue with great sound and views of the stage. Great selection of events including the BSO.

Excellent show and venue, avoid the bar and you will have a perfect evening.

What a shambles. No food. Only crisps and coffee. A disgrace and missed opportunity.

Been to several plays and nights out here, always had a good experience

A wonderful place to watch a play, they put on some excellent performances comedies, mysteries and whodunits. We have never been disappointed but I would suggests wearing something to keep your arms warm as it can be a bit chilly in there.
