Literally the worst club in the whole city. We were a group of 5 and all of us all white except for our Vietnamese friend. He wasn't let in with his employment card that worked in every other club that has been accepted throughout rest of the week. The rest of us were able to get in but he was not; obviously this club is extremely discriminatory and rasict. I refuse to support an institution that doesn't accept valid ID and makes up illegitimate excuses to not let a non-white person into the club. Not worth the time and money at all. Go somewhere that doesn't discriminate based on external features.

CLub itself is not bad, however one of the guys at the entrance was really rude when my brother showed his ID, as it was from other country he started challeging him and was disrespectful. Cannot believe a guy like that can work in the nightclub of Mandalay Bay.
My 25th birthday was spent in Las Vegas. Apart of my bar crawl package included Drai's which was amazing, Chateau at Paris which was Gorgeous and then there was the treacherous whole in a wall which is LIGHT. My brother was humiliated and interrogated. When they were given his ID it was slightly blurry (it's old but not expired) They asked him to verify his height, they asked him to verify the address, and to sign his signature; all to prove that it was him. Then they asked for my I.D. and because it had a small crack in the corner they denied me entry. I attempted to cross reference with an ID that had been expired, but I assumed because they check ID's to verify your age and not to Interrogate or Harass you that that should be fine. OH NO! Not at the light! It was so embarrassing :-( Just prepare for the WORST. Literally!
Would I go back? Yes. A club promoter stopped us on the strip and got us on all of the guest lists for the whole weekend!! If I go with a group I would get a table and bottle service. There are zero places to sit/set down a drink otherwise and the drinks are $15 each!! If the drinks were $10 a piece and if I would have had a place to set my drink and dance this would have been a 5* experience. The nice thing was that my girlfriend got 2 free drinks between 10:30 and midnight.
1/5/19 3 blk military men come into club, Security eyeballs clothing trying to find reason to turn around. 10 mins later, we get kicked out of the club because my friend throws up in the bathroom toilet. The bartender comes out with one of the bouncers and takes his military id and takes a picture of it. It s unlawful for service members to let ppl take photos of military id, i.e security measure. When I approach the lady to tell her that this can t happen, security runs up to her defense as if this is an aggressive manner.
Maybe you need to pay these angry bouncers more money because they clearly are under a lot of pressure.
Maybe we should have the legal team here at Nellis AFB get involved in this matter
We went Saturday night for a friends birthday party and got a table. While a table in Vegas is never inexpensive, this was worth the fee. Scott made sure we were taken care of and Gregory made sure we didn't get too out of control. All in all, a great experience and the staff was awesome all around.
We were not allowed into the club because my wife had prescription medication that is used to treat her migraines that she can not be without. Even though she can prove she has a prescription.
We waited in like for 2 hours in their long "guest list" line and people were visibly cutting in line going ahead of other patrons. We finally got to the front and found out the cover charge was $90 for 4th of July weekend. They need to be better prepared and organized for big crowds.
Managers and employees are frauds, baited people with "unlimited drinks." Ended up getting a one-drink-per-person voucher and waiting in line when supposedly put on a guest list. DJ constantly replayed the same songs while opening for a performer who was two hours late. Charged $10 for water when free at other clubs. Avoid at all costs.
Paid for a table, but waited in line for a half hour although they said we wouldn't have to wait in line at all... makes no sense. Crappy customer service all-round for a subpar venue
If I could give this club zero stars I would. The so called security staff is extremely rude (specifically Matthew). I know every club has a dress code and that s fine. However, it is important that all of the staff knows it and enforces it EQUALLY which was not the case with Matthew. My husband was told that he couldn t wear his Polo boots that resembles Timberland boots. Ok, that s fine. What really rubbed me wrong was that there were other patrons in line with us and entering the club that were not within the listed dress code. Matthew never said anything to others in our party bus group that had on Vans (athletic apparel),ripped jeans, etc. When questioned about the allowance of other patrons whose footwear didn t fit the dress code, he became belligerent. However, I will say that the other patrons he said nothing to about their non-compliance with the dress code, had far less melanin than we did. The people that you have out in the front of your establishment are a direct reflection of the management. After reading the reviews, I m not upset about not getting in because we had an AWESOME time at the Foundation Room instead.
Worst club in Vegas, solely because of the big tough guy security at the front. 2 groups in front on us got denied for not having a valid Id which was there passports, then I get harassed about my ID asking me all these questions, which I answer correctly, only to refuse to let us in. Loose the attitude up front, I m not going to try this hard to get into some off strip club.
William was the sweetest security guard. We had not been to an American club before. He threw out the large number of girls who kept trying to sit at our table area or crowd our space.
We were two women and he also took care of the several young men who tried to drunkly hit on us.
Our most beautiful server/hostess Vanessa was the true gem of the evening. She knew I didn't like my personal space invaded and had anyone who was disorderly in our VIP area thrown out.
She made our girls out evening a complete success. Between her and William they made the American club experience truly memorable.
Great location. Great music. Most of the club space is reserved for bottle service but that is par for the course in most Vegas clubs. The music was a good mix of dance and hip-hop.
Rocking DJ, 2 free drinks before midnight and no cover was our experience and I couldn t have asked for a better one!! We danced all night long!! Highly recommended for a night out!!
Great club. Dance floor is huge and easy to access from the bar area -- the attached photo is from super early in the night before anyone got there (we were on a club crawl so got in at 10:30 and left at 11:30, place started to pick up around 11:00 and was good by 11:15). Bar itself is long and the bartenders are very good. We just really liked the layout of this place as it made it easy to dance or people watch or just hang out and drink. Music was great when we were there but as everyone knows that's totally dependent on the DJ.
Great Nightclub. The Host Zach took very good care of me. First Class Service from the Manager Colin Comer. The space is out of a movie.. Amazing lights, top DJ's and the place was packed with UFC celebrities and Hot Girls. Highly Recommend getting a table here and having a blast.
Read reviews prior to attending this club and since I work in the same industry I know sometimes reviews can be a bit exaggerated. But let me warn you, all the bad stuff you read about this place is true. Yes, the bouncers are the rudest, entitled, scum-bags I've ever met. Yes, they will take your i.d. and bend it in ways that will damage it. Yes, they will question the validity of your i.d. and yes they will question your identity. If you dont play along with their game of 21 questions, proving your signature and smiling at them like on your i.d. they will apparently get their feelings hurt and harass you all the way through the casino. DO NOT COME HERE, SPEND YOUR TIME ANE MONEY ELSEWHERE!
Club is a little bit in need of some sprucing up the lines were long and the staff wasn't as friendly as I would hope them to be once we got in there was no space to move so kind of defeats the purpose of trying to have dancing on the dance floor the light show was really cool to see
The customer and bottle service for fight weekend was BEYOND AMAZING! No waiting in line if you have a reserved section, helpful servers, and respectful security, which all are the total opposite of Drai's. Hands down the best experience we had all weekend. Thanks Angelo!
Waitress took cash payment for the table then claimed they needed a credit card and ID to keep the table/tab open. She then double charged us. Criminal.
Low key had a bad experience! And I go clubbing a lot ! The hosts were rude ! made us wait as in we were there for the longest time! I m not ugly or even if that matter and I be turning up ! Drais be damn near catering me ! I love drais ! No manners and the hosts be feeling like celebs or something!
I've never been and after reading the reviews u never will. It's ridiculous to read so many reviews that are different but all say the same thing. Spread the word people, Light it's not the place to be.
The Light is a futuristic nightclub that is LIT to the Max. They always have a dope artist performing or making an appearance and there is always a hype DJ keeping the party going. At the Light you can turn all the way up!
Rude!! Rude!!! Worst club I bet been into. Front desk entrance people ridiculously RUDE that I left the club. Giving such hard time to get in because of a stupid minor issue. Would not recommend this club ever!! First impression wish I could give a ZERO!! Rude!!!!
Only go here of you want to dance for a short while, the drink tickets don't get you anything really and the staff are not at all courteous. Almost all the worst parts of a night club.
Light was a fascinating experience and great for those that may not like to dance as much or looking for something different. However, the music quality felt like it wasn't great and lacked the open-ness or variety that some of the other clubs had going for it. Coming into Light, you'll notice various performances throughout the night from acrobatics around you, above you and behind you. It's a really interesting iteration of a club and has a lot of flair. Same goes for the great presentation of the screens that is an absolute sight to behold (it always changes with no repeating tiles that I saw). However, the DJs were a little more on the 'eh' side during my visit and the crowd was a little older and less friendlier. Definitely worth a look-see at least.
I love this spot! I had the pleasure of partying here during the Soul Train awards weekend event. Ever since that weekend...I never stopped going. Great music, vibe and staff!
Racist Ass Club. STAY AWAY. The bouncers need a new policy on how they check Ids. The freaking idiot's keep bending my Id back and forth almost tore it. When I told those idiots they told me I couldn't come in. Those are the most rudest people I have ever seen. I never write bad reviews. This is the first one. These idiots need to get there stuff straight. After reading the reviews I feel they are racist as hell. If everyone that is other RACE. DO not Go here. Your experience will not be worth going even if its FREE.
Great music and staff... Good ambient, with a lot of space.. you can choose your way to enjoy the party. This place has elevator for wheelchair users, so they can navigate between the different atmospheres.
Went here friday night , kind of a last minute thing, got the vip table and bottle service and had a great time, the bouncers were awesome and the servers took care of us, got us smokes and had lighters ready. I dont know why everyone has bad reviews on the bouncers. All of my friends were surprised at how nice and how well treated we were. Definitely coming back next time
The security at this place is a joke. I was here for New Years Eve, there were several things going on that security was uninterested in assisting with. For starters a girl who I am almost certain was under age who was not only being fondled by another patron but passing out as well. Not to mention she had climbed on stage and exposed her bare butt for a good min before being told to get down. Then she partied for a bit before falling down. Once I got her picked up off the floor I was unable to get anyone to come over to assist even though I flagged for several of their attentions. Finally in desperation I did what I had to do. I climbed on the stage pre show and yelled for help, I had seen several people removed from the stage and thought this might be the best chance of getting assisted. I was correct, best believe they wanted to pop up then, to tell me to get off the stage. Okay dude but do you want to help this girl or no? Helped her right out of the club. Then I got a personal security guard right by the stage who said he was there to "Make sure no one did anything stupid." you know like help a human not die of alcohol poisioning, get raped, or trampled on? Nope don't care about that. He was useless. Once the party got going the artist threw out souvenir money. I had it in my hand, the girl behind me literally snatched it out of my hand. I asked him if he was going to do something, he said it's just a piece of paper and turned away. So I took it back myself from her hand. She cussed me, and he physically grabbed me to move me away, but not before her friend assaulted me, by clawing my side. She told him she was gonna beat my ass. He said something to her I did not hear, and then she said well I won't do it in here, I'll do it outside which he responded with ok and she and her friend left. Vegas is a great place for this club because you can play the odds. If you're feeling lucky with your physical well being this is the place for you!!
Worst experience ever came here from Arizona the guy that allow us get in is very rude customer service is terrible and it ruined my vacation to Vegas an I will never be back . Make that one star a HALF STAR .

Security is humorously similar to the Gestapo. I was pulled aside and interrogated for 30 mins after being in the club for only 5 mins. The best part...none of the 10 interrogators knew what I did wrong. Felt like their security personnel was racist against white people...or possibly they wanted me to bribe them to let me back in. Was quietly walked out...took the group of girls I was with to the marquee...had an awesome time.
3 main levels: entrance level has bars all the way around, mid level has the tables, bottom has the DJ booth and dance floor. Table level also has poles for the dancers that also dance their way around that floor. Cirque du soleil also has their flying dancers hanging over the dance floor.
One word, amazing! Our group got a table and bottle service which is the way to go if you ever go here as the rest of the club was packed. Loved the Cirque de Soleil performers and our waitress was very attentive to our needs. Music was great, Sebastian Ingrosso was the DJ over labor day weekend. Hands down best club I've ever been to.
Two long island ice tea drinks were $34 and they were terrible. One got taken off the table before it was finished. Some drunk tried to start a fight. Smokey and the the music kept sounding the same. Lame club.
Awesome space. Fun music. Like any club if you spend some coin you are going to get treated well but can be hard to get into after midnight if you aren't getting a table.
This club sucks and has very very bad service, the staff is disrespectful and stereotype people, and the music is very bad , I recommend nobody go to this club, they need to be shut down. Drai's Beachclub and Nightclub is the best
Worst night club in Vegas. I often spend 5-6k for clients in town. I tried Light one Friday night, to much disappointment this was the worst service I ve ever experienced. I ve had more respect from a McDonald s Dr-Thru. I waited 35+ mins just to be entered into the place for my table with the standard minimum. I was told to remove my hat multiple times while the table next to me had hats on. The reply that s the owners friends ... absolute trash.
The music was too loud to talk comfortably at the welcome party for our conference. The whole point was to connect with people. Having to shout in people's ears makes this a lot harder. There was a dance performance that was pretty underwhelming.
But what really bothered me was when the bartender (with a dismissive attitude) informed us that she was not permitted to fill our cups from our previous drink with water, and that if we wanted water we had to buy it bottled. Light owners please listen - there are country-sized masses of plastic floating around in the oceans, animals literally choking on plastic, and polar bears starving from climate change and you are making it worse by forcing your customers to buy more plastic for a drink of water so that you can make a couple extra bucks. Earth belongs to all 7 billion of us. Please be decent citizens of the planet and change this wasteful policy.
The security here is rude, disrespectful, and out of control. They act very discriminatory towards women. The music was good, can't complain about the DJ or the music selection at all. The wait to get in the club was outrageous, every single person we encountered during the entry process was snotty and rude. Security threw away our lipstick, hand sanitizer, and perfume. Completely unnecessary and out of order. Find another club to patron if you go to Vegas.
SMALL. After all the negative reviews, I still went against my better judgement to join my friend's bachelor party. We had bottle service at a table upstairs at about $135 a person on a Saturday night. What a waste! Your table is so distant from the rest of the club that it actually feels like you paid a premium price just to watch the club from afar. The dance floor is also one of the smallest I've seen. From my nosebleed section point of view, nobody even had room to move down there. Plenty other places to get your club on. Keep looking.
If possible I'd give half a star. The lines are unorganized and poorly operated with much confusion and disarray. Communication with the representative of the club is TERRIBLE as it was not made clear that tables were first come first serve despite putting down a deposit. What good is a deposit if it holds nothing?!? Not only did I put money down and not get a table, I waited in line for 45 mins before I spoke with some random individual that had no answers. I'll never come back and this truly messed up my Vegas experience as the bulk of my money went to this "grand" opportunity that turned out to be one I wish I wasn't a part of.
It s a dope venue, I love how it has the lower level, main level & 2nd floor. The amount of bar space is great. Three different spots I can order drinks & the location is great. This was my first time coming for the 10X Growth Conference & SNOOP DOGG CAME!
My friend and I had a great time at this club over Super Bowl weekend. As soon as we walked into the hotel, we were greeted by Benny who put us on the guest list. Benny was great and made sure we had no issues getting in that night. We each got 2 free drink passes and saw Bone Thugs. We danced till 3 am. Great music and great atmosphere. I've never had issues at this club.

My friend and I just went to this club last night. Had a decent experience getting in, bathrooms were clean. 2 vodka drinks costs us $32, we danced for about an hour (not the clubs fault but one drink was knocked over by the bass on the stage). At the end of the hour we were so thirsty from dancing so we went to the bar for some water. The bartender told us they do not serve tap water. He offered us a small bottle for $10. I refused that right away, then asked about just getting a club soda. He said that would be $7. Mandalay Bay/Light-when you have patrons staying at your hotel spending a ton of money-you need to offer water. This is not only irresponsible, but dangerous-given the amount of liquor being consumed and dancing all night.
Ok club for a Wednesday night, I didn't have a super great time but got in through no cover nightclubs very easily. No cover says you need to be there before 11:30 but the bouncers out front said that the guest list closes at 1:30. We even got free drink tickets (3 girls) which was nice. There was a very nice bouncer I believe that even invited us to a pool party the next morning which was pretty cool. The bathrooms were clean and the bathroom attendants were very sweet and were on top of everything. The problem was that there were way too many guys and like no girls. Many of the men were older too like 30-40s only a handful of young guys.The dance floor was too small and no one was dancing. And the stairs are steep, in a night club with drunk people and bad lighting is just asking for problems. In the beginning the bouncers had flashlights to give you an idea of where to step but once the club filled up they were too occupied to light the way, and I ended up messing up my ankle by missing a step. Also they will not give you water even from the tap! I paid $10 for a tiny freaking bottle of water! The bartender told me her boss will not let them give out water which is ridiculous. My experience was not the best but for a Wednesday it was ok probably wouldn't go back though.
Queued for 1hr 30 to get in, staff all arguing in front of us, seemed very unorganised. The only way to get water when you're dehydrated is to spend $10 on a small bottle. Really underwhelmed.

Never ever will I attend is my club again Not only was Management unprofessional they were very rude and did not even want to acknowledge our VIP tickets to the Snoop Dogg event. We were checked in by one of there staffs...to get into numerous other lines for the same check in process straight ridiculous!! We were literally in line for 2 1/2 hours for management to say my boyfriend had to pay 30.00! After explaining to them we followed every instruction your staff told us to do... Ugh Never Again
Bartender wasn t friendly and said a cup of water costs $10. Bathrooms smelled like vomit and faucet water was extremely scalding. Dancing was fun and the music was good though
Is funny how they called "legally " obligated when it comes to ask for an I.D. Let me tell you that work permits, they are government issued by United States not any other country. Which is totally LEGAL to used it as an I.D. It does comes with a birth date. Any other club around the strip they will allowed a work permit as an I.D. but you guys. If any federal government department takes it. Any other place can take it too.
