Horrible warranty experience
I've had the worst experience. The garage door opener stopped working, and it took 4 calls to technical support to determine the logic board needed replaced. The original installer wanted $250 just to install it if LM supplied the part. LM does not provide installation, even though this is a warranty item, but the rep said "nine out of ten can do it themselves" and they could easily walk me through it if I had any problems. I received the replacement part only to find out that the instructions were for a different model of opener. After three calls with tech support, it was clear that they had no idea how to guide my through the process, but said they would "elevate" and call me back. They never did. So I tried to do it myself and could not even get the cover panel off to access the logic board. So I guess it's time to pay up. I thought the idea of a warranty was to make things right, but it really is a "limited warranty" with LM. I don't want to say anything bad about the product, but just go into it with the awareness that if there is a warranty problem you're on your own.
