Stay away. Sales people will tell you increases rarely happen, but guess what? It's in writing and increases are not rare--they happen. I received a double digit increase in premiums. When you compound that wit the negative claims review--run.

Bought this accident insurance when I bought Blue Cross for my main health care. This sounded like a great supplement to my high deductible insurance policy. I had a fall on my bike and made a claim. Took forever to get the paperwork processed. When I did I was denied because I did not see the doctor soon enough. I took the first appointment available by my doctor which was beyond the amount of time required by the policy. I guess I did not know that at the time. I did not need to go to emergency so I waited for my doctor. I later reviewed the policy in detail and there would have been many places along the way the payment would have been denied. I had to see a specialist for my knee. That would have been beyond the time period required for specialists. The specialist wanted more xrays. They don't cover that. The list goes on and on. They wouldn't of covered very much even if I made it into the time frame required. I highly recommend you don't use this insurance company.

Total scam. Got three letters in one day requesting credit card/debit card updates for three consecutively numbered policies which they had supposedly been drafting. Bad news: I've never had a policy with them.

Worst service ever. The customer support is awful, you can never talk to anyone, you can't make the first payment through the website, you have to send by mail or phone, but you can't talk to anyone. And the option of returning calls takes forever. It's an extremely outdated company.

Caution: any good reviews are people who sell this product - not those who use it! We received notice this month that our premium has been raised 14.4%. Fine print of the policy states as long as they raise the rate for everyone they can increase the rate up to 15%. Plus they can do so every year. I wonder how many others will cancel and how much money Life Secure will rake in because we were sold a bill a goods?
