LIC Arts Open Reviews

This is Interesting space & a bit of a maxe. I did think that the visual artists on view were a bit too green to warrant the wall space. The place is big enough to host some serious installations so hopefully it will at some later date.
I was there to see a theater production and thought the space was good for off off bdway - but they need more comfortable seating for people like me of that certain age where arthritis invades one's backside,.hips, knees etc.

This area is great for art, galleries, music shows, etc. I love strolling past just for the good vibes so I definitely recommend stopping by

Very cool art gallery where they display local art, have live music events, and sell cool bowls that support children's charity.

It was a rainy day when I went but was still nice, they had a live band and seating was well done (social distancing). Only down side, only 1 food truck there, thought there would have been more options but could be because it was rainy. I liked that it was free entry, gallery was nice, people were nice, good location.

Awesome venue. Spacious interior galleries provide ample wall space for visual art and a great place to showcase dance shows, music performances and film showings. Not too far from the MTA subway #7 station.

It was a typical Friday night and my co-workers invited me out to an MFA art exhibit happening right in LIC. From the outside of the Plaxall Gallery it looks like a large loft with a massive parking lot. But after walking up the ramp I was amazed by the high ceilings and spaciousness of the exhibit.
The staff were very friendly and dressed in bow ties and dress shirts. And there was a live music in Portuguese throughout the night.
What I really enjoyed about the space was that there was plenty of room to walk about without bumping into others.
The best part is that right down the block from this Gallery is in fact the famous Pepsi-Cola sign in NYC.
And it is worth the 5 minute walk. The sign is so massive in person! And has a bright red neon red glow that almost feels warm on a cold night.
The space in general could be used for a multitude of things. I could imagine planning a launch party here or even a black tie evening.

Beautiful open area with incredible views of the city and live music. Such a great vibe. Don t miss the hidden area at the back with art exhibits.

It was a nice hole in the wall gallery. I'm assuming the people in the front are anti social though because they do not acknowledge or even care to welcome the people that come in.
