At The Lewis School of Princeton, we believe that every student deserves an education that meets their unique needs. Our mission is to empower our students to become confident learners who are equipped with the skills they need to succeed in college and beyond. We achieve this by providing a supportive environment where each student can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
Our Approach
At The Lewis School of Princeton, we take a holistic approach to education. We recognize that learning differences affect not only academic performance but also social-emotional development. Therefore our curriculum is designed to address both academic and social-emotional needs.
Our academic program is research-based and tailored to meet individual needs. Our teachers are trained in multisensory teaching methods such as Orton-Gillingham (OG) approach which has been proven effective for students with dyslexia or other language-based learning differences. In addition to OG instruction, we offer small class sizes which allow for personalized attention from teachers.
We also provide support services such as speech-language therapy, occupational therapy or counseling services on campus so that our students can receive all the help they need under one roof.
Social-emotional development is equally important at The Lewis School of Princeton; therefore we have developed programs aimed at building self-esteem and confidence among our students while fostering positive relationships between peers and adults alike.
Our Community
The Lewis School community comprises dedicated educators who are passionate about helping students with learning differences. Our teachers are highly qualified and experienced in working with students who have diverse learning needs. They are committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment where each student can reach their full potential.
Our students come from different backgrounds, but they share a common goal: to overcome their learning challenges and achieve academic success. At The Lewis School of Princeton, we celebrate diversity and encourage our students to embrace their unique strengths.
Our alumni have gone on to attend prestigious colleges such as Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Brown University among others. They have also excelled in various fields such as medicine, law, engineering or entrepreneurship.
