Hate that they closed. I've been going here every year for my birthday and they closed 2 weeks before. I really think they should have tried to sell to someone who wanted to keep them as skate rinks.

well actually I went to leo's icelan a while back for my friends party and I had fun nd im going back tomorrow with family nd im pretty sure im going to love it again!! :)
An ice skating in baton rouge! I couldn't believe it. Being a Canadian, our yardstick to compare are of very high standard, with many choices in every city and town. But this one is functional. Hope my Canadian colleges in baton rouge agree hey!
Mr. Perry is a really awesome man! He runs the place so well and the atmosphere is great. Good food and I always see people having birthday parties here so I would imagine it's not a bad idea to consider.
If you like ice skating, then you will love this place. It has a very big skating rink and has seating for people who either don't want to skate or just want to take a break. The place is chilly, so you should bring a jacket just in case. Even if you have never skated before, you can still do it as they allow crates to be taken onto the ice for balance. The only negative thing about the place is that the ice skates they provide are very uncomfortable.
Leo's is a lot of fun and I've been a bunch of times! The facility is clean and kept up and the staff is great! definitely would recommend to anyone who loves ice skating or has never been
A great place to hang with friends and family. I love to go every Friday and skate with my friends. I have also gotten my sister to finally let her two kids go ice skating. They loved it even if they couldn't stay up straight. They used the creates to help themselves skate around the rink.
It is a nice family friendly place, and the only ice rink I can find in Baton Rouge that is year round. Kids will like it, but be aware it can get quite crowded as again it is the only ice rink besides winter time
It definitely is showing it's age! But it is a very fun place to go with a group. We make a trip every year to skate with our youth group. It's a nice big rink, which does make it a lot of fun!
Always enjoy coming here. Atmosphere is of course cold, but very cozy, usually not too busy. We have a nice time every time we go. Very family friendly.
I'm only giving it 5 stars cause it is the only place I can play. The fact that it is in Baton Rouge is hard enough to maintain. Ice is what you would expect. Fine for open skate but for hockey not so much.
We've been going to Leo's Iceland for more than twenty years. I've taught my children to ice skate there, had birthday parties there, and have pictures of my kids with their friends ice-skating. Sadly, they're closing in the end of March.
I'm so glad that Leo's Iceland reopens every October ! I go ice skating there as often as possible. It's great to have a place for ice skating in the Deep South!
I love it,the only thing is I wish they were open on week days,I don't really have free time on the weekends to go so I can't go often but when I do it's an amazing place, the staff are nice and the ice is always clean and easy to skate on,and it's not slushy like some other rinks I've been too!
