I was an intern for Legal Insights and to this day my experience there haunts me. Mr. Soderstrom takes advantage of people who are already broken. He takes money from destitute mothers of convicts he knows he cannot help. He is 100% a scam artist. DO NOT SIGN HIS CONTRACT OR GIVE HIM ANYTHING. Within a week of working there he was putting his "most important cases" in my hands. At the time I was a freshman in college, I was not equipped to write a writ of habeas corpus for a convict serving a life sentence for two counts of aggravated first degree murder. Please, do not waste your money or your time. AND FOR STUDENTS LOOKING FOR INTERNSHIPS DO NOT APPLY HERE UNLESS YOU ARE IN LAW SCHOOL AND SECRETLY TRYING TO TAKE HIM DOWN. Shame on you Mr. Soderstrom.

Legal Insights, represented by Randy, misled me when reaching out to their firm. Randy is a fast talker and chooses his words carefully to hook you into believing he can help you. All Randy did was offer an analysis of the case as a "friend" all the while insisting he had a huge staff of attorneys who are experts in the case at hand who can represent you.

Randy asks for fees upfront and then sends you documents to sign that no attorney will represent you or lead the investigation of your case. I did not read the document trusting Randy sent me an agreement based on our conversation. My fault.

I was unaware that Randy was NOT an attorney and once I found out I terminated our agreement. At the time of the termination Randy had not yet received all of the info to perform the analysis. But instead of refunding my money, Randy never communicated with me again until after I called and disputed the charge with my credit card company. Randy then testified that he already completed the analysis. I never received this "analysis" but a month later my credit card company sent it to me and it showed that Randy "backdated" a report to the "day before" I sent Randy an email terminating his service. What a crook!!!!

So the credit card company gave this crook my money because the time limit to dispute his report expired.

Legal Insight have help me out of prison recently. In 2004 I was convicted for a crime I did NOT commit. Not only the court gave me an excessive sentence, it was also an unauthorized sentence. 8 years into my time I was refer to Legal Insight by a friend. At first I was reluctant to believe the court would change my time but they did! My original sentence was 18-years and 4-months. The court took 7-years off and now I am a free man! Thank you Legal Insight and my good friend Randy for helping me. This feeling is like winning the lottery but instead of money, its for a new life, a new beginning and that to me is a blessing.

It's pretty easy to flag legal insights as a SCAM! They have no knowledge of the legal system in any state, they simply direct you to their information page. They cannot give any reliable or credible answers to simple legal questions. They have NO people working for them or representing them that can be found in any state. Although their site clearly states they do not serve as attorneys they claim that they can find one but fail to explain how they find these attorneys and where they can be located. They even sent me a bogus "contract" which didn't have any correct information, names were spelled wrong which is something a legitimate place would make sure to have correct. Their cases they allegedly helped win hold no ground for reliability except that the case maybe did exist. Randy stated that he helped reduce and even eliminate sentences but failed to provide any sort of pictures or proven cases. Compare this place to the Innocent Project and you'll see the huge difference! Remember folks, if it's too good to be true, it most likely is!!!

Legal Insights did an evaluation for my brother that found an error in his case that his attorney missed. Because of this error found my brother got his time reduced in half! We were skeptical at first but the wait was worth it. Thank you Legal Insights for your help.

I am Ed Garcia and I was sentenced to 40 years in prison for crimes that I did not do. No one listened to me not my public defender not my appeal lawyer. No one. I got witness who know I did not do this thing but no one call them or ask what they know. My family call Legal Insight and talk to Randy Soderstrom and a attorney who tell us that no promise can be made but they will step up and try to help. It take 2 year but now I am home and this because Legal Insight fight for me and the court listen. Much respect to Randy and the team at Legal Insight. Thank you.

Legal Insights was shut down by the State bar of California for unauthorized practice of law on June 29, 2018. Mr. Soderstrom is still operating out of the state of Nevada. Legal Insights has taken money from clients even after he was issued a cease and desist order by the state bar of California and has also been given warnings in other states across the country. I hope you wouldn't hire this company based on the actions taken.
