Legacy Christian is a huge disappointment. Most people write reviews from a malicious desire. I am
a very credible parent with a history of knowledge regarding LCA that feel
compelled to share. The hypocrisy you experience sending your child to this school will create more damage than good. They are known to pick and choose students they want to isolate. They find and gather information on students by calling students in one by one asking various and very inappropriate questions which turn student against student. During these interrogations eventually, the student becomes exhausted by the interrogation. LCA takes that information, they take what they “heard” and share the information with another student and interrogate that student at random … and it goes on and on and on. These interrogations create extreme gossip in the school which then isolates kids where they feel like an outcast.

Kids feel terrible about the judgment placed upon them and this is an LCA tactic. One student at random, last week, I abruptly ran into and did not know … was sobbing. I hugged her as she told me she felt so judged and alone and could not handle the pressure in her life. I did not know her but she’s another Legacy Christian Academy student. Another student called me crying two weeks ago (that I do know), stating she was asked uncomfortable and leading questions by her teacher. I have never complained on any platform or website nor am I someone to speak up and vocalize negativity but sending your kid to this school would be a big mistake for your child’s future. I know numerous students who graduated from LCA confused about their faith because of the judgment that occurred during their academic years. In the past I have paid tuition for other students who were not able to afford tuition, I sent all of my children to this school and supported the school and what it stood for over a decade. Two of my kids were on homecoming court, National Honor Society, All state all District Football and a Cheerleader. I have enough years and experience to feel vocally honest and helpful sharing this review. Too many families have had similar experiences. If you want a Christian school that teaches true Christian principles, please trust me and look elsewhere. The founders who started this school had an amazing vision and are amazing Godly people. However, once they were no longer involved the school unfortunately went completely downhill.

If you are looking for an educational partner that provides a Biblical worldview, who will know, love, and prepare your child, then LCA is for you. We have been at Legacy for four years, and Lord willing, we'll be there many more. Throughout the Covid situation, the leadership has consistently kept us informed and allowed multiple opportunities to address our questions and concerns. My boys will return to in person class this school year solely because of the tireless efforts that have been put forth by staff and leadership alike, to provide the safest learning environment possible for my children. Private school is definitely an investment, but the return from an education at LCA will be priceless!

Our family has been a part of Legacy for 11 years, starting in the pre-k program. Although LCA has grown over the years, it continues to feel like a family environment. We appreciate the genuine love for our kids by the teachers and staff. It brings us comfort as parents to know WHO is teaching our children, as well as WHAT they are teaching them, particularly in the area of the Christian faith. We love the fact that our administration and teachers are concerned with not only the academic excellence of our kids, but the spiritual, and heart growth of our children as well. Readying them to withstand the rigor of college academia, but more importantly, to be able to defend their faith in Jesus and know why they believe what they believe.

Legacy is an amazing school! My kids have attended this school for the past 7 years and I couldn t be more proud of our decision! I was looking for a school that implemented a rigorous curriculum where teachers taught with different learning styles in mind. This school has both! Students are able to think critically when applying concepts and are provided with opportunities of real world experiences. There is a strong partnership between teachers, administrators and parents who work together for the best interest of the student. It s not just words on a paper, they truly care about your children. One of my favorite pieces of LCA is that the teachers work together in lower and middle school to ensure there aren t any gaps in the curriculum from one grade to the next; ensuring that our students are prepared for the next grade level. My kids love it at Legacy! Every summer during the month of July, my daughter mentions that she misses school! That is a blessing! I love that my children are in a Christian environment! As a parent, I can t think of anything that is better!!

Our daughter has been at LCA since first grade and we absolutely love what they do for her. Her education has been first class as she has learned and retained a lot. More importantly for us is her spiritual growth and passionate pursuit for it. The teachers are all amazing, the leadership stands out and the opportunities for her are boundless. I highly recommend LCA for private christian education.

My family and I are going into our 4th year at Legacy and we have never been happier. Our kids love this school and the teachers. The Christian values that the school and staff portray regularly, allows my kids to experience a safe, loving environment outside our home. As a parent, I love how all parts of the school are involved with each other. The high school kids come down and mentor the lower school kids. Football games are a whole school event that gets my kids excited. Our whole family has made lasting friendships. Legacy is a community. The staff are amazing at communication and are honest. I feel the teachers have flexibility that allow them to teach to individual children based on their needs. I also felt they did an amazing job at navigating the COVID situation. The school quickly had a plan in place that allowed our kids to have a smooth transition into distance learning. Most importantly, through God s love our children are getting an amazing Christian education.

My step daughter liked the school a lot because the teachers and kids were very nice. But the price just kept going up, and the extra fees were huge. The price listed does not begin to cover it. The new uniforms cost much more than the old ones, and families are required to buy them. Financial aid is advertised but not really an option. We wished that they had focused more on being affordable. Most of our daughter's friends had a lot of money because that is the only people who can afford it. But the people there are really nice and the Christian teaching is great.

Legacy Christian Academy has truly been a blessing to our family! We made the tough decision to switch our son from public to private school 3 years ago and haven t looked back! The teachers genuinely love their students and it shows. Our son is excelling academically and continues to impress us with his knowledge of the Bible. We highly recommend LCA!

I have been incredibly impressed with the genuine kindness everyone has shown to both my daughter and I. God being at the forefront of my daughters education, friendships and mentors is the number one reason why I chose LCA. I also chose LCA for their heightened security and attention to detail in protecting our little ones, I leave my daughter at school everyday feeling confident that she is loved, cared for and protected as I would.

We are starting our 3rd full year at Legacy and absolutely love the school and staff. We are thankful for the covenant partnership, biblical teaching and the love the teachers pour into our children. We would highly recommend Legacy Christian Academy!

LCA focuses on rich families. They keep raising their prices, plus doing little fees (like charging parents to go to their own kids' sports events) so they can look less expensive. When a family leaves that was receiving financial aid, they aren't contacted. When a full-pay family leaves, they might get a call. Or not, because Frisco is growing so much that LCA doesn't need to take care of the families. New ones will just keep showing up because of city growth. The turnover rate is shocking. So many people leave each year, and are replaced by new folks who haven't realized they are going to be pressured to "give more!" every single month.

We have been a part of the Legacy family for 14 years. From lower school, all the way up through graduating high school and getting into select universities, LCA has been a fantastic place for our 3 boys. Not only is it a school with Bible believing faculty and staff that genuinely care about the students, it is an academically challenging school that has prepared my oldest son well for college. He scored well on his AP exams and started his freshman year with over a semester of college credit. He has studied Biblical doctrine throughout his LCA years and has started college knowing what he himself believes and how to defend his faith. Families at Legacy are supportive of each other and of the school. It is a Christ centered school with stellar academics, top-notch faculty, and Christian families.

Legacy Christian Academy has been the biggest blessing to our family. We immediately felt part of the LCA community. Everyone is so welcoming! The academics are challenging for our children. The staff and teachers have the biggest servant hearts and genuinely love our children. LCA is a true blessing!

I attended legacy from 5th to 8th grade. Very toxic environment and experience. I had a sibling who attended as well and just because they were a little different in the sense they didn t fit in to the normal like everyone else they were treated horribly by the students and teachers. Many small and Big instances occurred that we brought to the attention of the staff where they acted like nothing happened and just swept it under the rug! The band program was amazing ,i have to say, and i met some good friends and there were a few teachers that had a positive impact on me, but other than that i don t have anything else really positive to say about the school. It felt like a competition that whichever family was paying more money and was putting extra time into the school was their favorite and was most popular, it felt only about the money to me and the school didn t really care about you until you put extra money and time into it. It was just an unhealthy and toxic environment. I do not recommend Legacy.

If you are thinking about enrolling your child here think again it promises a good Chirst-like environment where your child will grow in his faith...but sadly this is no longer true as it has fallen prey to the "joys" of fast growth as well as good business and has failed to keep the same standards it used to have. There is drugs, cheating, bullying and just a general attitude of uppityness galore. Although the school advertises everyone there is christian this is also no longer true. Be very careful when looking at LCA, it would be wise to consider other options

Overall, the school is good. My biggest disappointment (and reason for the two star rating) is the sixth grade science teacher. I expect teachers to inspire, uplift and mold students rather than berate, belittle, and tear them down. This teacher has had a profound NEGATIVE impact on my child's life.
