This place has a great selection of merchandise. But its service is worse than non-existent. I recently bought two expensive Stressless lounge chairs and ottomans from them. After a lengthy delay they were delivered and the deliverymen assembled them. They came with a tray attached to the armchair, which we discovered after the men left tilted badly. We complained and got bounced around. We were finally told they don't warrant their furniture and I should call the manufacturer, who said Lee's are the ones responsible. This went on for months, after which the manufacturer sent the regional sales manufacturer over to our house and he discovered that the chairs had been improperly assembled. He took them apart and re-assembled them. The tray is now straight, the armrests, which were on backward look much better and everything is fine.
I also had a very bad experience with them in 2009 regarding some expensive lighting fixtures I bought from them. I guess I should have stopped buying from them then, but they have such nice products that I was stupid enough to go back,
I love their products! Has anyone figured out a way to get them to pick up a phone? I have left messages for them about a chair that I purchased in March, and got one letter from them stating that the chair delivery was delayed until the end of May. It is now June 9, 2015 - no chair- no communication and really poor customer service- Like NONE. So disapointing for a company that has such great products!
Being a fine arts major at NYIT Lee's art shop is my one stop shop to get my last minute art supplies. Its close and takes about 5 min to get there from my school. The only down side about Lees is there price range.
lee studios do not deserve even a one star, but there is no choice for starless. they took my money way, way ahead, but cannot deliver on the date promised. once they all are in possession of my money, they treat me like a pusher, trying hard to give dishonest reasonings on questions, instead of a straight honest answers, as if customers stuck with them are idiots. this store's belief is, they have the upper hand, that being nasty to customers are fine, since their selling commodities exclusive to them, without known competitors to be out of business. well, one day when its too late, a looming karma will knockdown this store to the ground to teach them a lesson, the most important is the CUSTOMER.
Employee's are definitely helpful. They compared different products for me and help me pick the best one for me. Plus there's a lot of interesting stuff.
Absolutely great. The workers are helpful and the store itself is filled with so many fun and useful things, something for everybody. 10/10
Good for random art supplies you need, but the real stand-out is the selection of trinkets if you need a quick last-minute gift!
Prices are steep, I'm sure the location demands it. More times than not, they'll have some obscure item I'm looking for. Great when you're in a pinch, and don't have the luxury of time to order from Amazon or eBay.
This art shop closed last year after being open more than 20 years. It was popular with students and artistic types. There were three floors to the location. Staff were professional and friendly. Prices were affordable.
