Definitely caught me by surprise, it has way more animals in it and is far bigger than I expected. For a free zoo it's definitely worth checking out.

I grew up going to this zoo. Been to others, but this one always gives the best memories.

This zoo is huge. Cost is 10$ to drive thru. Free if u walk in. Baby giraffe. New lemurs exhibit. Camels buffalos. It's a great zoo. U should visit if u have a chance.

Loved this Zoo we were just passing through and needed a place to stop and walk around. It was perfect and it was free!

This is a great zoo. We travel often and stop and zoos here and there when we see one. I'm always comparing them to this zoo. While it might not be San Deigo it can hold its own. Not to mention the cost of walking thru is pretty great ;) cant beat free!

What a great zoo this is! It is extremely well cared for, and there is a lot going on! Super excited for the exhibits that are being completed soon! We will definitely be back!

We found the zoo very clean and up kept. It was cold so many animals were not out.

Nice zoo. Unfortunately lots of stuff closed off due to maintenance\construction and COVID. But it is free which is perfect for my family

I enjoy visiting the Lee Richardson Zoo with my children. It is a great place to take a walk and view all of the animals. My children have also been on several school field trips to the zoo. They have some historical sites on the Zoo grounds that deal with the founding of Garden City. There is also a play ground area and plenty of space to have a picnic.

The animals seem happy as they go about their lives at the zoo. They allow most people to get very close to them. Feeding the ducks and fish is what I enjoy most. I hope to one day rent a buggy and ride around in it. $18 for an hour. How fun!

Small, I assume it was off season since it was March when we drove through. Some exhibits seem to be under construction / remodel so there wasn't much to see, however I'm quite sure it's a great place to visit..

Was at a conference in their meeting room. Did not get to visit the Zoo itself, but very interesting displays at the entrance and hallways.

For being a small town zoo, and free(!!), It's pretty good!! An up close, comfortable, and enjoyable afternoon!

Right by the museum and the Big Pool. It had a wider variety of animals than I anticipated.

Old but fun zoo. Day we were here, it was in the 90's. But we stuck it out.

I cannot write enough good things about this zoo!! It s super clean! Staff is so so nice! The amount of large animals they have to see for FREE are amazing. The prices in the zoo are so reasonable also!! It s super shaded so it s perfect to walk with small kids! And the park in the zoo is awesome too! The exhibits are also easy to see the animals in! My kids love this zoo so much! Will come back every time we re in Garden City! Perfect for a family day!!

They have really cool animals. The workers are really respectful.

I loved this place, many trees, beautiful place, I have never visited something equal better than the one in the Los Angeles zoo, I only lack an elephant at least I do not look, I don't know if there is but it is beautiful, there is no aquarium but without a doubt it is beautiful it fascinated me more my daughters when they fed the ducks

The best low price zoo I have ever been to. The animals seem to have large enclosures that are clean and well maintained, and all the animals look healthy and have spirit. It is on the small side, but I would rather see a small but lovely zoo than one with many poorly kept animals. Will come back!

Great place to go whether you live in town or are just visiting.

Great place. Still as great as when I was a kid. So happy I was able to share this with my family. It is affordable and a definite must!

Nice little zoo for a small town, check out the museum at the entrance for the worlds largest hairball.

I really do love this place. Please believe it. This is a beautiful place. I have walked 100 miles here or more. There is only one thing that I have seen that I really didn't care for and that is the caged eagle with the clipped wings. This animal is a symbol of freedom. Especially in the greatest country ever. We shouldn't want to take away freedoms in America. We, in my mind people, shouldn't clip the eagles wings. Only opinion. But, I love this place.

AWESOME, AWESOME AND REALLY AWESOME ZOO. DID NOT EXPECT MUCH FOR A FREE ZOO. WE WOULD PAY $20.00 EACH TO SEE IT AGAIN. Beautiful, well maintained and animals are well cared for. We had so much fun. Next time we will pack a lunch and plan on spending the whole day there.

This is the best little zoo I've had the pleasure of visiting. We spend nearly every weekend here.

Neat little zoo for free but it is a long walk on foot as exhibits are really spread out.

Awesome FREE admission zoo? What more could you ask for?

What a great little zoo. So much to offer for a city like this in Kansas...I was disappointed not able to see the giraffe and the elephant but that's what you get for going on such a cold day.
