I went here 3 years ago. I suffered a severe ankle sprain 6 weeks before climbing Mt Kilimanjaro. For the first 4 weeks, I could barely walk and was unable to put weight on my right foot. Desperate to salvage my prepaid dream trip, I tried acupuncture at Lea Tam. I believe the son administered the acupuncture and massage. After my one session, I was able to walk normally again and was able to make it to Kilimanjaro. I was 100% skeptical of acupuncture before my session. I still don t understand how it worked so well, but it did and that s all that matters. I can t recommend Lea Tam acupuncture enough.
This is a family owned business and I've worked directly with Bell Tam. He is extremely professional and friendly. I have chronic pain conditions and Bell always manages to help me find relief. I highly recommend checking them out if you're in the area!
I really enjoy this place! The facility is located on a relatively quiet street, but there are ample parking spots nearby.
These holistic / TCM health places are usually hit and miss. Especially because the really old school TCM it may take a while to even know if things are working... This place is different! A long standing shoulder problem immediately hurt less + kept on getting better (may never be 100% but I can live with that : )... and I just feel refreshed every time I visit. Later I discovered 3 ppl in my office all independently found and keeps coming back to this place. It's a family run business, super nice people and it just works. Way more time and cost effective than PT. I still drop by for occasional "tune-ups".
Bell Tam and his sister Yvonne Tam are fantastic. Mr. Tam did miracle work on my shoulder and back for a very painful rotator cuff problem I was having. For my particular problem, Mr. Tam mixed deep tissue massage with acupuncture and completely healed my issue. I highly recommend.
I've been searching for my long over due shoulder/head pain answers for months but no PCP, no ENT, no Orthopedist, no PT, no Chrio could give me the answer. In fact, I got sicker with some incorrect dignoeses at times. I was devastated because my current insurance was running out (a long story) then met Dr.Bell Tam, thank you and thank God (yes, they even take insurance). Not only Dr. Tam at the 1st visit answered where the source of the pain was (neck area) but almost a good amount of nerve pain going through the shoulder/arm got lifted immedietly. And I've been well taken care of ever since. Dr. Bell Tam is not only a great healer in his technique (painless needle work with his father Dr. Tom Tam's Tong Ren device on then followed by a massage therapy/cupping) but his kind and sincere treatment every time is something I could never forget- thank you, thank you! Dr. Tam, remember I said I feel like a human being again? You truly scooped me from the midst of this pain mess. I really appreciate everything you have done for me and for my husband (none acu believer to a believer bc Dr. Bell Tam).
