Le Royal Meridien Chennai Review

Approach from airport is a bit tricky did too the Kathipara junction...AC needs too be improved upon... Other wise well maintained hotel

Watch when you do currency exchange. They make mistakes .

Banquet Halls aren't that good when compared to other hotels and the dining area has very poor lighting. Looks like a dungeon down there.

Very clean nice food and large area rooms are clean and party halls

It lacked the splendid au revoir feel. Standing just 3 storeys tall, It falls behind the standard and keeping of the brand name. I cant even visually begin to compare Le Royal Meridien, Alandur (why "Royal"?, I thot "Le Meridien" was and is the known brand name)and Le Meridien in the middle east. They stand far apart. Rest aside, amazing breakfast with vast number of choices, staff were very friendly and non-annoying, room service and upkeep were modest, special considerations to Ms Sruthi and Mr. Sai Ram at the reception, smiling faces and cheerful. Chefs are very professional. Id give it a 5 but something was amiss somewhere and not quite what I expected in terms of class. Needs fine tuning. All the more, delightful stay experience anod brilliant ambience!

This hotel requires major upgrade and washdown. Leaking roofs in Cliantro cafe, black fungus in bathroom corners and heavily rusted shower heads gave an uncomfortable feeling. I was made to wait and told rooms are sold out even after having confirmed reservations. That's the last thing you want to hear at midnight. This hotel is kind of disgrace to Marriot brand.

Attended 2 events in the last 4 years. Finest and luxury hotel. Lounge ambience is the best

It's Le ROYAL actually. Very Nice hotel. All booking services available. Card payments acceptable. Bar is good . Food is good. Break fast is really good. South Indian menu are very nice. Rooms are very clean and good. Some Shopping options are available. Staff is very good and co-operative. Parking lot is good. Road access is good.

Good old hotel.. Food quality is really nice.. Staff is very friendly.. But the rooms are undergoing continuous work and there is lot of disturbance while sleeping.. Pls work on that.. Rest all is good. Proximtiy to airport and main places in chennai is a plus

Calm and perfect place inside city for meetings. Food court is comparatively small to accommodate huge audience that suites the hall. Response from the crew is good. Food tastes good.

Poor food menu and taste. Car parking fully bat smell

Attended a conference & found gifts stolen from the packets kept for participants.. This is the second year in a row this stealing is happening. Buffet lunches are unattended, food refilling are not being taken care.
Better to avoid conferences in here.

Ohh wooow!!. I have visited this hotel for very first time and I have to say that the ambience of the hotel is outstanding and the environment over there is way out of the box. The staff are very good and friendly with everyone. The food was very delicious. Last but not the least the Brownies and Gulab jamun were the best item I ate yesterday night. The location of the hotel is also very good located in the main road and near to the airport.

Pretty old hotel. Rooms also displays this character. Service is average. There are much better options at this price point.

Check in takes some time. The food is great. Rooms are too. The switches and the electronic equipments in the rooms are old. Good natural lighting in the rooms. It's good, could be way better.

Very substandard, rooms were smelling of cigarette smoke, staff need to be more hospitable , just a normal place no match for a 5 Star.

Good hotel with good ambience. It's located at right place where you can find all transportation source to city and near to Airport.

Hotel service is great. It's very close to Chennai airport. Only 4 km away. Beach is about 20 mins away. Hotel deserves a 5 star rating.

Easy to access. The location shown on Google map near to race course is inaccurate, it's near the Kathipara interchange.

High end hotel in the heart of Guindy very close to the airport

Very worst experience we had. Food is also not good... Not up to the standard. Customer Service is really bad. They don't even know how to treat guest/customer. Personally we felt very bad and dissatisfied on visiting Le Royal Meridian, Chennai.

On the main road close to the airport. But approach has become a bit difficult because of the flyover

Lots of variety for veg.buffet and the taste was also good. Pricey:-)
