Le Meridien Beach Plaza Review

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for one week in August and have gathered enough information to write this extensive review.

First of all I'd like to say that the service was very good and the private beach was tidy and practical. The same couldn't be said for the rooms, as they are mediocre at best (Or at least mine was). The first thing I was met with was a broken toilet door. It could not be closed at all. Luckily a technician came and fixed the problem but this incident left a bad first impression. I mean, couldn't the staff have checked the room before checking someone in?

This wasn't the only surprise in our room. The wall near the entrance door had a splatter from a dead bug (I hope it was). And the roof had marks left from the door. I will include photos to illustrate these things.

The bathroom looked awful: the glass door was stained and the walls were dirty. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned up.

The service as I said was great and all our needs were quickly dealt with. Breakfast on the other hand was nothing to write home about. There was no salad (only tomatoes and cucumbers) which is pretty embarrassing for a hotel of this level.

All in all I had an ok stay but I wouldn't recommend this Hotel to anyone seeking true luxury, although many guests seemed like very rich individuals. If this Hotel wasn't located in Monaco it would have gotten a solid 3 stars. Otherwise this is pretty disappointing for the money you're paying.

Best Beach Hotel in Monaco
- Welcoming and helpful English speaking staff on arrival at the hotel. Got a double room with a balcony in the corner on the 11th floor with a view down to the center beach and sea.
- The cool room (airconditioner) was bright and large. With a double bed to my liking.
Refrigerator / minibar that also had space for own goods. A couple of wine and drinking glasses. And of course some sweets and drinks that kept hotel prices down.
The TV is mostly for French speakers as all foreign programs are dubbed. Boring when you want to hear the original language of a program.
-The balcony was equipped with two chairs and a table with a view down to the center.
- The bathroom was large with a walk-in shower and with a bath. Double sinks and plenty of towels. Of course also plenty of toiletries on site
-On the own beach and pools there was full service with sunbeds and parasols. Towels were handed out to anyone who wanted them. Bars and service are always at hand.
-Basically 'I Love It'

Gorgeous beachfront hotel in Monaco, with stunning bay views.

Very beautiful place. Too bad we had a dear side city. A little noisy. If not the frame and the sound are at the top.

The restaurant part should be noted at the highest score with a particularly warm welcome by Helen, and boys! The loyalty card a good idea, the valet service much more pros than the platform artists where I will not put the feet ...

We stayed here in late June for three nights and it was a wonderful stay. Our room had a sea view with a nice balcony spacious enough for three people to hangout on. Very nice salt and fresh water pool with plenty of beach chairs; there was a private beach area with complementary chairs and umbrellas as well. Hotel location is fairly near a supermarket in case you want to pick up snacks to save some money. Bus stops are right in front of the hotel as well.

Since the Monte Carlo Television Festival was going on during our stay, the hotel seemed very happening and was a cool place to stay at. Lots of exclusive parties out on the patio area.

Highly recommended!

I've been in here for the 2017 Golden Foot event .... what to say, fantastic hotel, staff polite and friendly, nothing is missing !! And I say nothing! Excellent point to move in the beautiful Monte Carlo I show you some fantastic photos of the event that surely will repeat!

Love the beach and the beautiful views. The staff were all fantastic as was the food and drinks on offer some bits looking worn like the lift were people have damaged it and it can't easily be repaired.

I agree, 5 years of work. This A hotel among the great hotels in Monaco. I found the simpathi and the teams to be wonderful, especially the Itimpo kitchen team.

Perfect ! The hotel is in a great location with its private beach, the staff are pleasant. The room is functional and very clean.
I absolutely do not share the opinions criticizing the breakfast: wide choice, it's fresh and the cook prepares several dishes on demand (eggs, toast, etc ...) so it's hot and well served. I recommend without hesitation.

I enjoyed lunch and listening to the team. It's very nice. I'm coming back

My favorite hotel in Monaco! Great price per value, very comfortable beds, quiet and spacious rooms. Breakfast is amazing, a lot of options and the best think on my opinion was a private beach and swimming pool.

Beautiful structure taken care of. Clean and comfortable rooms. The restaurant eats very well and the staff is courteous. I do not recommend the breakfast, eat at the same price to the front bar three times.

Breakfast nice although lack of space. Jym open hours far too narrow. Room nice, but noisy on street side and pay tv choice limited. Staff OK. Bathroom good.

Family friendly hotel, more affordable than the other hotels in Monaco. The only hotel with an actual beach.

My partner, my three week old baby and I had a truly exceptional night!
It did us the greatest good, the view behind the hotel is just sublime with your mother as far as the eye can see, the restaurant exceptional too.

Everything was perfect, a lot of choices in the restaurant, very clean and very personal with little care.

I will come back with pleasure, this hotel deserves its stars. Hearty breakfasts. Be careful the pool is very small and not suitable if you want to do laps.

Very nice establishment with private beach, heated outdoor swimming pool, indoor swimming pool, several types of restaurants and bars. Very outgoing, friendly and very professional staff. It's a bit of paradise, but at a price.

I hereby inform you that I have tried to book two rooms for 5 people for this weekend but unfortunately speaking with Mrs. Patrizia, I have not found neither kindness nor education.
It is not the style of the Hotel Le Meridien.
It seems correct to me to write it as I also have several employees and not everyone can follow the company philosophy!

201902: Very professional. Spacious room. Clean. Bedding ok, sanitary water ok, wifi ok. Well maintained common areas. Indoor pool very good. Friendly staff. Sauna a little narrow and condition to be reviewed but functional.

very nice hotel with excellent food; perfect service

Their reception was lovely and the rooms and cleanliness were excellent. It is preferable to book the lofts overlooking the sea to enjoy the beauty of sunrise and sunset. Their prices are too expensive.

Very big room, clean place, private beach and large spaces to enjoy. We really liked our staying.

Party Central at the Monaco GP! Great place to be. A bit loud on evenings. Some staff were stellar. Mainly the ones that weren't behind a desk. Valet and wait staff treated us like that royalty. Concierge and front desk need some classes in manners and respect, especially phone skills. Room service was great as were the restaurants. A/C worked like a charm. Hot running water with lots of pressure is always a plus. Enough outlets for your phones and wired Internet was a plus.

The worst hotel I've been to. The room is old, the ceiling, the walls are dirty, the bathtub is in rust. In the toilet without a husband it is not possible to flush. Noisy like in a hostel. You can only hear the doors slamming and the voices talking (probably all the attendants are on the floor). The room has a door to the next room (for what?). The staff is forgetful. Some solid bad impressions. I think the service in Turkey will be a couple of stars higher than here. The price is absolutely not consistent with the quality. If rich people from all over the world come here, how is such service and room quality possible ???? And yes, on the beach, mature women are not embarrassed by young children, and indeed, nobody exposes their sagging mammary glands to everyone. The hotel is required to indicate that the hotel has a nudist beach.

Very nice location however the quality of the rooms starts to drop in front of the offer. It should be a good shot of freshness. Friendly staff. The professional valet and concierge. The meridian deserves better benefits.

Wonderful hotel in Monaco, compare to The property price in Monte Carlo, I would think 200EUR Per night is a super exciting deal.
You can take bus brown and green line from the train station to get the hotel. Bus route are not available on google map, Uber are not available.
Taxi from the train station is about 15 EUR.

Nice service and facilities. Staff are very friendly and helpful, I was upgraded to an suite as an Elite Marriott member. Super spacious room!!

Breakfast is about the average European 5 stars standard. Didn t try lunch or dinner. But the out door dining area was magnificent!

An amazing hotel. Any one reconsidering staying here. Just do it. 5 star resort. Amazing service, luxury hotel.

Worst experience ever, right on arrival they ask for a deposit of 100 euros pp per day plus the entire stay costs, which indicates how much confidence they have in their guests, after departure the deposit will be removed, however, they do not tell you that your credit card for one month blocked, unhelpful, and rude!

Attended a conference here. Staff polite, but food at buffet table not labelled. No vegetarian choice.
They need to improve on their food labelling/ contents as not everyone eats everything.

The hotel itself Is beautiful and the location is amazing. However, as a constant traveler who had stayed in many luxurious hotels, the customer service at this hotel has by far been the worst. As my incoming flight was cancelled, the reception advised me that the manager would courteously extend my stay by a day allocating my first missed nights funds I would only need to pay the difference. After giving 50 euros in rate difference, the receptionist informed I would be provided the receipt in my check out invoice, I was confused to be served a invoice for 372 euros for an extra nights stay. After a back and forth with the hotel staff, staying they would never allocate funds for an extended stay, they confessed they had no recollection or documents to justify my claim or the cash i provided to the receptionist for the difference, I was out over 400 euros. This unprofessionalism has left me unwilling to stay at any Le Meridien hotels. They re unwillingness to accept fault and compensate me for minimum the difference in rate is astonishing.

Good place to stay but very far from city center also there is a problem with GSM network

Lovely place lots of facilities. Clean beach. Friendly service and nice food. Just don t use the beach spa complete nonsense overpriced for nothing really. Don t do the masks it is 35euro plus vat for putting ready bought mask on your face for 10min they didn t even have a cream with sunblock to apply after not happy at all dont be fooled like me .

For a four star, this hotel lacks a little rigor. The cleaning of the rooms is obviously not controlled. I dropped behind a wooden panel a phone battery charger. While going to search for it I found dust in abundance and glasses of a former customer. The 4th floor renovated feels the painting in an exaggerated way. On leaving I asked the concierge to call me a taxi. He handed me a card telling me to call myself. Here is the Meridien.

Really bad hotel for the price 600 per night the really poor reception 45 min waiting to get our room and 1 hour to check out I strongly advise against it and the catering I am not talking about a disaster very disappointed with my stay

I must say that I am outraged with how the hotel treated our car.
We were not allowed to park our car, only hotel staff could do that. After some time it appeared that the person (hotel staff) resposible for parking our car damaged seriously our wheels. Of course we reported that but hotel staff claimed that they checked it and it was not their fault. Of course they did not show any evidence. I seriously advise to be very careful with parking hotel staff as there is no supervision on their work. If no serious response and evidence from hotel it might end in the court.

Fabulous location one of the few hotels in Monte Carlo with a private beach. Very friendly and very professional staff, always open kitchen delicious food.
