Still one of the better restaurants of Amsterdam after so many years. Excellent food, kind and attentive service. Extensive winelist. For this quality prices are quite reasonable.

Wonderful evening at Le Hollandais. Thanks to the food, but also thanks to the very pleasant and professional service. Immediately a very tasty amuse of a razor with spicy sausage, onions, sellerie and various other crispy vegetables. The following terrine of wild goose with fruit compote came with an excellently fitting French chenic blanc, just like the entire wine pairing an inspired choice. Risotto topped with a basil, spring onion and bottarga (the shavings of dried tuna that you often see in Sicily, among others). Head came with delicious stew and sausage for table lady (a tried and tested recipe here) and a super soft venison leg. Again delicious! The evening was completed in style with the final apple soufle and chocolate 'nemesis' (a flat and very solid cake). We wanted to eat here for a long time and are now going back soon!
Service was personal, yet all consummate professionals. Food quality that even stopped MY family talking and wine that left nothing to be desired. Bravo. Chapeau. And looking forward to our next visit already!
Loved the food and the piano. Will be back for sure!
Delicious food, excellent service, highly recommended!
Very good relaxed French restaurant. Very well eaten with a group of 8 at the table right next to the kitchen. Very nice dishes and good wines. They had a choice of three dishes for all courses, all of which were very delicately prepared, all homemade, all very good. All really good without frills.
I love all the sincerity of this place, people, vibe and food
The service was extremely friendly and correct, but the prices are actually too high.
Nevertheless, a great opportunity for a pleasant business lunch.
Christmas Day eaten here and unfortunately the menu was pretty uninspiring, especially the Vega options. The appetizer was a cheerless piece of bread with some onion compote, the Vega starter 4 heaps of vegetables. The cassoulet, soup and desserts were tasty, but for the price I had expected more. Unfortunately our ministry also did not know much about the food, let alone about the wines. Despite the mostly positive reviews, we skip it the next time.
Nice restaurant, nice entourage. Fine cuisine and good service. Were even willing to make some extra dishes to taste (to satisfy our curiosity)
Definitely worth a visit.
One of the most authentic and cozy places in Amsterdam for fine dining; highly recommended.
Excellent restaurant with very friendly staff. The seafood sausage was out of this world and the Brittany style seafood soup was a good lead in. The cheese board and their generous servings (despite two of us sharing a plate) was the perfect end.
Have eaten here a few times and it is always great. Sturdy typical French country dishes but then very refined and super tasty. Relaxed atmosphere very pleasant service and top wine! Recommended for anyone who loves really good food
It was tasty but too traditional for me. No exciting or special dishes. Nice for once, but don't come again.
Quality cooking with friendly staff in a lovely place.
Nice restaurant. Mix of dutch and french cuisine. The staff was amazing and really helpful. Pretty decent selection of wines. Ambience with a lot of personality.
Top. Great food, fine wines and very knowledgeable service.
We had a lovely dinner here with a large group of 10 people. Each course of the 4-course menu was very tasty, the same was true for the wines. Operation also good: not too formal, but real professionals. An excellent choice to eat well in Amsterdam without the trendy fuss around it.
Best traditional french cuisine in a friendly &convivial setting.
Very friendly service but above all: the food was LEKKER. Visit many good restaurants in Amsterdam, but at Hollandais it was really nice, rare
Nice place and good food. Also suitable for groups.
Good food good service. 5 stars if they have more than just a bottle of Brand up for beer lovers.
Had a great evening, tasty surprise menu and good service
A good very classic French restaurant. Beautiful old school interior. Not for hip or modern dinner.
True cuisine bourgeoise, by the godfather of Nouveau Ruig in Amsterdam and great wines. Just right...
Absolutely wonderful. We went here on a whim and it did not disappoint. We got here early shortly after they opened, so the restaurant was a little empty. The server was incredibly helpful making recommendations both on the food - and the wine. This place was our favorite meal in all of our five day stay in Amsterdam. Such amazing food.
Very discreet in atmospheric ambience. Food is delicious with an excellent assortment of wines. Very friendly host / guest lady
We came here for our wedding anniversary, and had the 4 course chef's menu. The food was fine, but quite bland. The people are nice, but I got the impression that this place is past its peak years.
The interior and dishes do not match the prices on the menu.
