I have two children there. Couldn't be happier. Great teachers, solid curriculum; child centered and they are one of only 22 schools in the US to offer a Global Studies Certificate in addition to the High School diploma--very helpful for building great citizens and for college admissions!

The LWA Tiger Team is clawing its way through the Covid-19 Pandemic in 2020-2021. LWA is one of the few schools open for full time on campus learning. Hence, there is a phenomenal start up vibe in the school.

LWA is an A+STEM School: An incredible stand-alone arts program (drama, instrumental/voice, and visual) coupled to a Preschool - Grade 12 STEM curriculum. Upper school students are earning college credits concurrently with high school courses on our renown St. Francis College partner's transcript!

LWA is seeking partners for 2021. We want to reboot our sports program after the crisis. LWA will also add an Entrepreneurship K-12 Program in 2021. Contact us if you would like to invest, donate, or partner with us on these important future-forward endeavors.

This crisis is brutal, but LWA leveraged the time last spring to renovate the instructional spaces and revamp the academic program. International students, due to the crisis, are learning simultaneously online/live with their domestic classmates. Lower and Middle School are vibrant.

We embraced numerous new families this year from Neponsit, Rockaway Beach, Belle Harbor, Forest Hills, Woodmere, Lynbrook, Elmont, Rosedale, Jamaica, East Elmhurst, Valley Stream, Atlantic Beach, Long Beach, and Oceanside.

Parents are investing in their children's futures through a private school education that is engaging, fun, customized, and warm. While other schools are closed or fully remote, our school is live on campus. 80% of our upper school and 99.9% of our lower school are on campus learning. Our students are not losing a year of instruction due to Covid-19.

The warmth and nurturing vibe of LWA is LW-A-MAZING!

My Daughter is new to LWA but she loves it the teachers are nice the students are really nice and the staff is just wonderful I highly recommend LWA for your kids or child to join the LWA family they are indeed the best school my Daughter has ever been to and if you're child or kids to LWA that will probably be the best school they have ever been to you might think why should you listen to me well you don't have to listen to listen to me but take a look at the school or go look around on the internet and see LWA is more than a school or a boring place it's more way more then that all the family's all the teachers all the staff even the students.... we are a FAMILY so please please please give LWA a chance you will not regret sending your child or kids to LWA.(This is not a person who works at LWA)

School is full of hidden scandals! And heard it s closing June of 2020

The are down about 65% in student enrollment they are in so much legal trouble with teachers dating students google( Lawrence Woodmere Academy ) and that s just the beginning. Cops are there almost every day because of students fighting. A parent basically stole the headmasters job so she can guarantee her son To be valedictorian! They sold their soccer field on west broadway to help pay for their legal fees, and they have a corrupt board of governors. That s only a small reason I pulled my child out.
