It's not a bad place. I came in late and the manager was super friendly, tried to figure me out something to eat (I had been on the road for 12 hours no stops for food), even after they closed the restaurant. I did have an issue with the payment, front desk is run by young adults, so don't expect the greatest service. But I hope he learned something from the interaction we had. Got it all figured out though. Good price for the area. No AC. But even in July. It's not really needed, windows are screened it, so just leave them open all night. (This is coming from an Oklahoman, our heat is 10x worse than here).

Super friendly, beautiful place. Was greeted by a Marmot in the parking lot. Staff was awesome... Looks like a place I would enjoy staying if I had a family. Nice facilities as well. Stop in and say hi.

We stayed at the RV park and had a great time here! The staff are friendly and kind. The lodge has lots of amenities! The restaurant has great lunches/dinners. The laundromat was reasonably priced and super convenient. They even allow you to get packages delivered. The wifi is blazing fast, but can be spotty from the RV sites. There used to be a cell tower nearby, but it s been turned off, so there is basically no cell service in the area.

This is a nice place that was very quiet and a great view. Their calzones were pretty and good.

We stay here because we enjoy seeing bears on the way in to Tetons. The state is planning to kill a mom and 2 new Cubs due to traffic. We will not stay again due to this as the location would not make sense if they kill the bear that has delighted us for the last 3 years. It is a far drive from Tetons so wildlife along the way was the perk

We loved our stay at the Lava Mountain Lodge! The rooms were clean, it is a great area that is close to Grand Tetons, and the food was fantastic! You have to try the pizza and if you have the time stick around for a hearty breakfast. With the heatwave the room was a little warm but hanging out at the attached restaurant was a nice way to enjoy the sights and cool off. They were at capacity while we stayed so service was about what you would expect but everyone who worked there was fantastic!

The absolute worse experience we have had. We called to reserve a rv spot, 4 hours later we show up to look at spot and it was taken. We were told to come back later as the spot would be available, which it wasn t. MARTY called and said he would put us in another spot, that had weeds up to our waists. We told him we would be canceling andvstay where we were. Marty charged our credit card for 3 nights! And informed our credit card company we were a no show , (which was not true since we showed up to see the spot and it was taken). Absolutely do not stay here. The building in front of the hwy is nice but beyond that ..trashy trashy!

Lava Mountain on it's own is quite an experience. Beautiful scenery and salt of the earth staff. The only "problem" I had was because I booked through a third party app and ended up staying in a cabin instead of a hotel room. No big deal here as I honestly love camping and it didn't take away from my experience at all. The staff was kind enough to offer us bedding because they have been dealing with that issue. To me it wasn't an issue but man I definitely would have packed my sleeping bag and a couple more pillows if I had known. That was kind of my fault for panicking after my first place I had booked on Airbnb cancelled on me to accommodate another group. (that's another story.) We had such a good time both nights at the lodge's bar and grill. Pretty tasty food. The drive from the cabin to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone was also breathtaking, however the Lodge sits in such a beautiful valley full of wonderful scenery and wildlife I would definitely not mind coming here again just to hang out. Maybe next time we will be actual outdoorsy people and just rent the campsite they offer.

This was my first time visiting Wyoming. We could nit have picked a more perfect location to stay. Our room was clean, the food was delicious and affordable and the staff was amazing and knowledgeable of local attractions. Best vacation I have ever had. Will definitely be returning and staying here again.

This is one of the great, cleanliest and wonderful Room I have stayed in near future. The place is so remote and under the foot of mountain. This gives a great view from the room. The phone number in the Google did not work. They recommend you to collect the keys before 8. But I reached at 10, and I still saw my keys kept in the cover with my Name on it. Thanks a lot for your hospitality. They have a wonderful WiFi which is very much needed in this place where you will not see Phone signals.
