Dr Shrader is by far the best Doctor I have seen in years. very Professional yet very friendly. She lives in the area & is a pleasure to visit & I am not a fan of Doctors !!!!!

Dr. Schrader is amazing! Her down-to-earth bedside manner makes even the most anxious person feel comfortable. She is thorough, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The front desk and nursing staff were also so accommodating and take that extra step to ensure you re taken care of. So thankful to have such a wonder physician and healthcare team near home!

This rating is for the HMG Group. HMG has not delivered on their promises of sharing medical information with doctors outside HMG and keeping costs down. The answering service located in Tenn. are inadequately trained and not informed about the services that exist in Denver, NC. Details:

1. I needed urgent care for a sliced finger. Called the local number and routed to Tenn. Asked if Dr. Schrader s office had urgent care and could handle my sliced finger. They responded by asking me address information for her office, and if she was at Denver A or Denver B. I was put on hold several times lasting over 5 minutes. I hung up because I could drive there faster, get the answer and lose less blood in the process!
2. I need an orthopedic specialist for an injury. Dr. Schrader said it was easy no referral required, just make an appointment. At my orthopedic appointment they wanted to review my recent blood work. They could not. There is no way for doctors outside HMG to view my records. AFTER the appointment I called HMG, spent 20 minutes on the phone with Tenn. trying to sort this out. They FINALLY forwarded me to local office and was informed the only method supported now and for the foreseeable future is to fax the info over to the other office! So much for the promise of electronic sharing.
3. There is no support for the HMG web site. I can not add my cell phone number to my record. I have tried for months. When I call about why it does not send me a verification code, Tenn points me to my local office. Local office points me back to Tenn!

The team of doctors that I have had since 2014 when I met Dr. Schrader are phenomenal and I am so grateful that I was referred to her by another patient. She is absolutely amazing and she listens to her patients.

Dr Laura Schrader has been my primary for the last 5 years. During the time I ve been going to her she has had a great , positive, goal achieving attitude about getting my type 2 diabetes under control. I didn t think I would ever get my blood sugar levels lowered. I m very happy with my levels are at now. I feel good and don t mind seeing Dr Schrader for my next game plan to do even better on keeping myself in shape.
I have visited Doctors in the past that I felt I knew more than them when it came to diabetes. Not with Dr Schrader. She is sharp and updated on medications that actually work.
She is warm and pleasant!
Go see her. You will definitely not be disappointed.
