Today I was very disappointed by the way my friends and I were treated at Laughing Planet. A man, who did not seem like a worker, came up to us while we were sitting down at a table and proceeded to tell us we had to leave because we were doing work and had not yet ordered. There were only two tables taken out of many that were there, and he told us this was not a park. As a person who may or may not own a restaurant in a college town you have to understand this is how we get work done. There was also a table next to us with two college boys with no food or drinks on their table and he did not say a single word to them!
Laughing planet is the kind of place I like going when I just really want comfort food and don't feel like cooking for myself. I usually get a Jimmy the Greek burrito, and it really hits the spot. The olives they put on it gives a nice tang and flavor. My only critiques would be that the rice can be quite bland, and I put salsa on my burrito to try and combat that. Also, service is not fast paced at all. It has all the look of a fast grab-and-go restaurant but in reality is run much more like a sitdown restaurant. So don't be surprised if your food takes longer than expected On the whole I still really enjoy coming here, especially since I can grab my drink from Soma and then sit on the deck outside to eat it all!
Can't say enough good things about Laughing Planet! The food is varied, flavorful, fresh, and delicious. Prices are perfect for what you get as well!
Fantastic food, fantastic service. Everyone is extremely friendly and answered all of my questions, and the food was delicious and freshly prepared. A great place for any collage kid looking for some dinner or lunch. Definitely a new favorite place for a quick bite!
We loved the laughing planet!! So many delicious choices. You can make your own burrito or pick off their menu. Food was really good and the services was good.
Fast good food for a good price, their cuban burrito is the best.
Thanks for the great food. The delivery was really quick.
The staff experience was great. They called me after I placed an order for pickup to let me know about an ingredient issue before they started preparing my order. However, both times I've eaten here the food has been subpar. The first time I ordered the pesto burrito and it didn't really have much flavor or a great texture, still not bad. This last time I ordered the Asian veggie bowl and was very disappointed. The vegetable mix wasn't cooked - maybe that was my fault for not understanding that clearly before ordering, but overall for nearly $15, the bowl contained maybe 1/4 cup of rice, 5 or 6 tofu pieces, and raw, unseasoned vegetables. It was not flavorful or worth the price at all. I'm not sure If I am ordering the wrong menu items, but I will not be back.
Some of the worst service I've experienced, which was entirely shocking considering this is a local and vegan friendly place. it wasn't until I got home I realized my order wasn't right and I couldn't eat it, so I took it back and asked them to re make the order. When I had to rush back, I was already flustered about being able to eat, and one worker proceeded to then insult me for explaining how I needed it to be made, and no one apologized. As someone who has struggled with e.d. This was triggering and I couldn't hardly eat after. I feel it was entirely disrespectful and unnecessary. I never write reviews or anything but this was just dumb
I d say it s decently good for a vegan/vegetarian restaurant. I got a classic burrito and nacho mama and my boyfriend got a veggie burger and burrito. We both loved the nachos and the burritos were pretty good too. We both agreed that the burger was a little dry. But it wasn t bad. Just not a preference of his. To me its alright. The only problem I had was there were onions I hate onions. But not much you can really do in that sense since they re diced up and mixed with all the other ingredients. I saw other reviews saying how the food is pretty mediocre. Idk if we were just starving and would eat anything or if it s just differences in taste. But we re definitely gonna come back to try more. The mystery isn t solved yet!
