Not the first time I've visited this location, however, this is the first time I've been disappointed. The place was temporarily closed for the day without any notifications! I had called a week before for reservation. The least they can do is give a courtesy call letting me know that they'll be closing. We drove all the way to Hollywood with the crazy traffic to find that they closed. Need better management.
As for the comedy (speaking for the other times I've been here), it's a hit and miss. You can't really expect to know how these comics will perform and everyone has a different taste of humor.
After having been to the Long Beach location, this place is super small and cramped. So maybe next time, I'd rather go to the Long Beach location.
Great venue, great comedians. Sub par service. Put some more servers on laugh factory
I love Laugh Factory. This is a great place to take a girl on a second date. Comedy clubs can be hit or miss but Laugh Factory is about as safe as it comes in terms of knowing it will be funny. If a girl meets my date 1 criteria, then she makes it to date 2 which usually means a trip to Laugh Factory sandwiched between dinner and drinks on sunset.
Good show; difficult parking. Been there a number of times. The comics are usually very good, especially in the main room. The seating is tight though and from the back not easy to see for shorter persons. Go early to get a good seat. The only real problem is they have no parking lot and there is very little parking on the street. Recommend taking a lyft, grab or uber to get there.
Great comedians and service! If you ve never been to a standup before, take an hour or two here and enjoy.
Cool stand up comedy venue, with great talent usually performing, along with a few movie/television actors and writers. The staff is nice and the cocktails good, but the food is very, very basic (basically, nachos).
Use Valet parking and DO NOT GET IN LINE TO RETRIEVE IT... just give the guy the ticket n wait.
If you don't like your seats ... and you paid extra COMPLAIN. I DID. I got great seats after complaining. restroom. .. use the deli next door if you need to go after the show ended. LF won't let you in. You will get in line for priority seating too, be there 1 hour earlier. .. you're welcome.
It was amazing, I took my daughter to celebrate her 21st birthday and she had a blast.
Highly recommend if you get a chance, it's a really cozy venue. Usually there's 3 to 4 excellent comedians per night. I've enjoyed the local acts more than the big names since they bring a lot of fresh material and they are experimenting instead of tailoring to the masses. Laugh factory requires 2 drinks per customer, so the cheapest you'll get away with is $8 if you drink water or juice. Otherwise expect to spend $20+ if you want alcohol.
Super dope comedians, seating isn't that comfortable though, even with VIP.
Great fun, but be prepared to buy two drinks and be squeezed in.
Comedian's were great. Place was smaller than you'd expect, and it's very cramped. I also didn't like the fact they make you buy a minimum of 2 drinks. Over all, I'd go back.
Overcrowded. No ac. Can not even view the stage from 2nd floor
so kevin Hart I actually found a place so I could launch
I know the owner J. Masada a Real high class guy !!!
I love the laugh factory they always have the best comedians as the headliners to their shows and although the prices are a little high its well worth it because its nothing but a good time. I usually go on sundays for choclate sunday and every time I go its always a full house and a good time. The only thing I dont like is that every customer must have two drinks before the end of the show.
Absolutely one of the grest nights I have had the opportunity to be a part of! The comics were funny and I was constantly laughing and having a good time!
Had a great time. Will keep going. There is no parking: plan ahead.
Chocolate Sundaes are ALWAYS Lit!! You neva know who's gona pull up to sit in VIP to have some laughs. Thanks for such an amazing time Pookie and crew. You always tend to take the bougie-ness out of Black Hollywood for the night. Made my bday special. BET weekend was bananas like it 'posed to be. Keep GROWing!
Such an iconic place. Great service, even when jumping-crowded. The only thing, which is not the fault of the club, is that some comics turn appearance of others' into pot-shot humor. I didn't like that at all.
I've never had a bad time, bad drinks, nor bad food at The Laugh Factory on Sunset
Good comedy. Decent drink pours. They need to upgrade their premium drink menu. Horrible whiskey selection.
Last night Had such a better than average time at the 8:00 Pm show. Very Funny comics were all mind blowing and associated with the crowd. WI'll absolutely return.
Over the Top Experience ! ! !
Reuben Tuesdays was A Ball ! ! !
Don't park on the street. You will get an expensive ticket..
They involve the audience so much and even I was included twice. It was great! I will keep coming back on chocolate Sunday's!
I was visiting LA for my birthday weekend & thought I would check out Chocolate Sundaes at Laugh Factory, I must say the show was amazing!!! I can't wait to come back the next time I visit
WARNING Don't be late to their show, don't try to get up and use the restroom during the comedies act and finally don t sit in front of the stage. If you do all the comedies will call you out and make jokes about you. There is a 2 drink minimum ($10+ or more per drink) so the drinks plus the $25+ General Admission will cost a bit more out of your pocket.
The All-Star comedies were humorous; my favorite would have been Dane Cook! After our main event the laugh factory had a Midnight Madness every we see to upcoming start in comedy for free.
Every second spent in this place was full of laughter and fun. I would highly recommend the laugh factory if you have a lot of cash and looking for a great night.
Chocolate Sundaes never disappoints. If you you are in the Hollywood area on a Sunday make sure to attend
KRAMER NOOOO WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CANT SAY THAT NOOOO
The establishment has a phone message saying no shorts, sandals or hats and this forced us to go buy pants even though our tickets did not mention this at all. Then upon arrival they did not care about any dress code and let board shorts and flip flops in. Good thing we got there very early as some other priority members got stuck in the back. Comedians were top notch and some of the best in the country. 5 stars to the comedians.
A lot of fun, some big names, great place for actual stand up. Not improv, actual stand up. Really enjoyable.
Classic comedy venue with a community-minded owner. Support this place!
Chocolate Sundays! Great atmosphere! Laughed all night!
The gay themed show was funny but the food choices left something to be desired. Drinks were weak and in smaller than average glasses
I went to one of their shows tonight and it was the highlight of my trip to LA.
Had a great time! All the performers were on point.
Legendary place. Drinks are a bit over priced and cheap alcohol. But place it self Is amazing. Waiters are very friendly and nice.
Shaan Joshi invited me to this. He was producing this event called Shaan Joshi and friends I think. Had a good time. Great lineup. Decent cocktails. Though I'm not into cocktails, tried the watermelon something( #1 on the list)
Good crowd for a Monday evening. We went to Greenblatts after which is right next door.
I have been here four times on chocolate Sunday and had a blast every time.
One of the best places for comedy shows in addition the tickets are very reasonable and the place if very organized. You also get a chance to meet some famous comedian in here if you are lucky. Recommend this place for any one above 18.
I could not stop laughing! Thoroughly enjoyed every minute! The DJ was awesome! Going back for more joy...
Who doesn't love this place. I had such a great night here. Last time we were in California we went here so is a must we had to do it again definitely worth it everyone was so funny. Jamie Kennedy and everyone else was fantastic
Never again. Very inappropriate for anyone who cares slightly about ethics and values. Service was good, however.
Had a great time at the Tuesday night show... The MC/Host is very funny!
The laugh factory was a great great place to visit you wouldn't believe me if I told you what I enjoyed myself so much the first time I visit this place was on Christmas December 25 of 2012. No with you don't realize is that day and every Christmas of every year there is usually an event for the needy in this case for los who did not have Christmas meals at their home or let alone a family to be with for the holidays this was the place to go. On that day they provided a full course meal to top notchprivate comedy shows for free along with wine water and all your other great top-quality refreshments. I also to volunteered my services here that day and enjoy Paul Mooney and other comedians company.I recommend you go to this place is soon as you can or at your earliest convenience or when you're on your leisure time and you check out their comedy section wow sometimes there are great lineups there.
Make sure to also follow me on Twitter lovely community.

An amazzzzzing funny show ! Super hilarious comedian
Excellent Friday night show! Reasonably priced. But the 2 drink requirement is not satisfied by appetizers, so heads up on that.
The performances were fun to watch. Customer service was awesome. Every seat in the house felt very close to the stage and it gave the sense of closeness to the comedians. If you're visiting LA and you love stand up comedy, you should definitely check it out. Friday is an awesome night to be there to kick start the weekend with a laugh.
PS: Be prepared to get two drinks minimum and there's no video taping or cameras during the show but you can sneak a pic or two
Great place to go with friends and sometimes family! Juliana DeStefano was hilarious! Highly recommend seeing her if you get the chance!
Me and my boyfriend went it was cool but if you ordered free tickets you have to get there before the actual start time and it didn't say that online but we wasn't tripping we bought our tickets I was just mad that it was uncomfortable seats upstairs
Weird staff members and if you like creepy tiny dirty hole in the wall spots this is exactly where to go...run down over rated and if the people that left the "good reviews" believe that place is great. .that's a shame.. Perfect example of people's low standards...doesn't take much to impress the sheep I see..
This place is a comedy landmark located in Hollywood, California and has a wide variety of acts on the nightly basis. Don't be surprised if someone big shows up as they love to pop in an try new material. If you want a fun night out, this place has you covered. 2 drink minimum, but that's how they make their money. The only reason for the 4 stars is the fact that the chairs aren't the most comfortable.
Not impressed. There's a 2 drink minimum and water is $4.
Good venue for comedy, smaller than I thought but very comfortable, definitely reccomend catching a show here.
