Who decided to build the small stations instead of allowing the full lenght of the metro? The complete metro line is not yet even finished and the passenger capacity is already insufficient. Pure corruption and incompetence.

Really often comes at some point in the journey Announcement that a small stop between stops when the previous train is blocked .. That is, with scheduling problems. The drives are clean, especially if you compare to the old ones. I don't know if there is a toilet in every station ..?

About Lansimetro Oy

Lansimetro Oy: Building the Future of Public Transportation in Helsinki

Lansimetro Oy is a Finnish company that is dedicated to building and operating the western extension of the Helsinki Metro system. With 13 new stations and 21 kilometers of track, this ambitious project will connect Ruoholahti in central Helsinki to Espoo, one of the fastest-growing cities in Finland.

The need for a reliable and efficient public transportation system has never been greater, especially in urban areas like Helsinki. As more people move into cities, traffic congestion becomes a major problem that affects not only commuters but also businesses and the environment. The solution is to invest in sustainable modes of transportation such as metro systems that can move large numbers of people quickly and safely.

Lansimetro Oy was established in 2007 as a joint venture between the cities of Helsinki and Espoo with the goal of extending the existing metro line from Ruoholahti to Matinkylä, Espoo. The project was divided into two phases: Länsimetro I (Ruoholahti-Matinkylä) and Länsimetro II (Matinkylä-Kivenlahti). The first phase was completed in November 2017 after several years of planning, design, construction, testing, and commissioning.

The second phase is currently under construction with an estimated completion date by end-2023. It will add seven new stations from Matinkylä to Kivenlahti along with several kilometers of tunnels and tracks. Once completed, Lansimetro II will provide fast connections between Espoo's growing neighborhoods such as Tapiola or Keilaniemi business district with central Helsinki.

One key feature that sets Lansimetro apart from other metro systems around Europe is its commitment to sustainability. From day one, Lansimetro has been designed with energy efficiency and environmental protection in mind. For example:

- All trains are fully automated without drivers which reduces energy consumption.
- Stations are equipped with LED lighting systems that use less electricity than traditional lighting.
- Escalators are equipped with smart sensors that adjust their speed based on passenger traffic.
- Trains use regenerative braking technology which recovers energy during braking instead wasting it as heat.
- Construction materials were chosen based on their environmental impact such as recycled concrete or low-emission paints.

Another unique aspect about Lansimetro Oy is its focus on customer experience. From station design to train interiors everything has been carefully planned out for maximum comfort convenience for passengers:

- Stations have spacious platforms equipped with modern amenities such as free Wi-Fi or digital information screens.
- Trains have air conditioning systems that maintain comfortable temperatures year-round regardless outside weather conditions
- Seats are ergonomically designed for long journeys while providing ample legroom space
- Trains have wide doors allowing easy access for passengers carrying luggage or strollers
- Ticketing system allows contactless payments using mobile phones or travel cards

In conclusion,Lansimetro Oy represents an innovative approach towards public transportation infrastructure development by combining sustainability principles along customer-centricity approach.Their commitment towards reducing carbon footprint while providing seamless travel experience makes them stand out among other transport providers.Lansiemtro's vision towards building future-ready infrastructure aligns well within Finland's national agenda towards achieving carbon neutrality by 2035.This makes them an ideal partner for any city looking forward towards developing sustainable transport solutions .
