It was very beautiful resort. The spa staff was great and housekeeping was fine. However there was a server who stood out amoung the rest. Unfortunately I never got his name, but I am most grateful for his service.
Nice resort and great location for a conference! There are a few trails to take a walk outside and a market to buy snacks and pre-made salads and sandwiches.
When we embarked on the planning for our clients wedding we had no idea we would choose a venue that not only served as the perfect getaway for their family and friends but one that put so much care into the execution for our clients perfect day. We initially planned for an April 2021 wedding but had to quickly pivot because of the pandemic and concern for the safety of their guests. Lansdowne allowed a seamless process of choosing another date. When we landed on that date (the day before the brides birthday) we knew it would be a memorable experience for all. Emily Hutton and Christina Cicippio went above and beyond and created a seemingly flawless special celebration for all. Emily was prompt in responding to calls and/or emails during the planning process. Even little unforeseen issues on the wedding weekend itself were dealt with swiftly and professionally. During the ceremony showers of blessings started to come down and Emily swiftly grabbed umbrellas for the guest.
All other staff were professional and handled all our requests with care and a smile. The ambiance, the amenities, the spotless rooms, the delicious food and the beautiful grounds, terraces, and ceremony space all contributed to creating a wonderful experience for our guests. Love is in the details and we are glad that we entrusted Lansdowne resort with the details of this wedding. We highly recommend Lansdowne as a wedding venue. We attended a post wedding brunch and everything was lovely. The food was fresh. The service was great.
Please add labels to the self-serve areas in the future for those that have allergies. Otherwise wonderful.
It was alright, the nice pool with the waterfall was reserved for a party so everyone had to go to the smaller pool. The room was pretty nice and the front desk was extremely helpful. We had a massage here and that was also pretty good. This resort is more aimed at golfers or tennis players, not really a family vacation.

My Mom booked this resort and flew in from out of town as a substitute vacation from multiple canceled-due-to-pandemic-trips. Needless to say, we have been looking forward to this time together. Upon arrival, the resort looks like a senior care facility out of the 80's. Inside is slightly more updated, but the rooms were as basic as any Hilton/ Marriot/ etc. Bathroom was small, pillows were flat, and there just wasn't anything particularly nice about it. At $450+ per night with over $115 charged in taxes and additional unnamed fees, we would have expected quite a bit more luxury and comfort. We wanted a quick breakfast as we had an early spa appointment, and the only option was a small market with very few bakery items and burnt coffee...again nothing you couldn't get at a run of the mill hotel charging $120 per night. The spa was lovely, if not slightly outdated, but the services were great. I'd absolutely get another facial here, but I would never stay again nor recommend anyone else stay at this resort.

I was excited about going to Piedmont Restaurant for the first time!
As I entered Lansdowne Resort, there was ONE SIGN directing me to go straight.
NO other Piedmont Restaurant signs.
Lansdowne Resort is a very big campus!
I drove into the circle entrance.
I was told restaurant is off to the right.
No signage on street or building!
No parking close by so I walked forever
Steps with no hand rail.
Finally arrived!
Food was average.
Waiters and staff friendly and helpful.
As I departed, there were NO EXIT signs.
So . I drove around until I found EXIT.
I have family coming to visit.
We will go to Lightfoot, Blue Ridge, or Tuscarora.
Disappointing!

Remember to use . when booking your resort. This web site will compare hundreds of booking websites and normally will have rooms much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of the best in the area. I have been staying here for a very long time. If you decide to stay here you definitely won't regret it.
