Landcorp Farming Ltd: Growing Aotearoa/New Zealand’s Finest Natural Products Since 1886
Pāmu is the brand name for Landcorp Farming Limited, a State-Owned Enterprise that has been growing Aotearoa/New Zealand’s finest natural products since 1886. With a nationwide portfolio of farms, Pāmu is committed to sustainable farming practices that protect the environment and support local communities.
At Pāmu, farming is more than just a business – it’s in our nature. We believe in working with nature rather than against it, and we are dedicated to producing high-quality products that are good for people and good for the planet.
Our Farms
Pāmu owns and operates over 100 farms throughout New Zealand, covering more than 370,000 hectares of land. Our farms produce a wide range of natural products including beef, lamb, venison, milk, wool and honey.
We take great pride in our farms and work hard to ensure they are managed sustainably. This means using innovative farming practices that reduce our environmental impact while also improving animal welfare and product quality.
Our Products
At Pāmu we believe that natural is best. That’s why all of our products are grown without artificial fertilizers or pesticides. We use traditional farming methods combined with modern technology to produce high-quality food that is both healthy and delicious.
Our beef is grass-fed on open pastures which gives it a unique flavor profile compared to grain-fed beef. Our lamb comes from free-range flocks which roam across vast expanses of land giving them plenty of space to graze naturally on grasses rich in nutrients such as clover or ryegrass.
We also produce venison from deer raised on open pastures where they can graze freely on native plants like tussocks or manuka bushes which give their meat its distinctive flavor profile.
In addition to meat products we also produce milk, wool and honey. Our milk comes from cows that graze on open pastures, producing milk that is rich in nutrients and free from artificial hormones or antibiotics.
Our wool is sourced from sheep that are raised on our farms using sustainable farming practices. We work closely with local communities to ensure our wool is processed in a way that supports local businesses and reduces our environmental impact.
Finally, we produce honey from bees that forage on native plants like manuka bushes which give it a unique flavor profile and health benefits.
Sustainability
At Pāmu we take sustainability seriously. We believe in leaving the land better than we found it, which means using farming practices that protect the environment while also supporting local communities.
We use innovative technologies such as precision agriculture to reduce our environmental impact by minimizing fertilizer use and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. We also work closely with local communities to ensure they benefit from our operations through employment opportunities, education programs, and community initiatives.
