Awesome school for 9-12. They offer a college and career magnet program that is an exceptional tool for the future in a young adults life.

Is not bad school but you need to depend on yourself because lake view highschool is not properd you for college it just teach you stupid things you will not gonna use it in the future and the teachers are the worst i mean not all of them but you should be luckey if you got some kind teacher and try to be away from art teacher they are the worst in the school and the students is good but is really hard to make a friends no its impossible to make a friends but just try to make some mabye your Lucky bye:-)

Academically, this is about the worst high school the north/northeast Dallas area. Most of the graduates are not prepared for college. Their dual credit program is just a bait to get parent to enroll their kids there. Most colleges/universities won't even count dual credits towards degree requirements. Parents/students, there are much better options out there for a great high school experience.

I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Woman's University after graduating from Lakeview Centennial High School in 1983. My major is in Nursing and my minor is Biology. I have an active RN license since 1992. I passed my NCLEX exam the first time I took the test. I held 3 jobs to pay my way through school, which is why it took 9 years to complete the under graduate level classes at the community college, and to transfer as many of those hours into the program at TWU. I successfully completed their program in order to earn a Baccalaureate level in Nursing on May 9th, 1992. I had a solid foundation for college success and many thanks to the fine faculty that I found at Lakeview Centennial High School in Garland, Texas. As well as: O'Banion Middle School and Heather Glen Elementary School of Garland, Texas. And I thank you all.

Great opportunity to get best education there is I had no problems with the school it's can get you a degree for college and prepare for life

No supervision. Kids roam around, free range, during school. Lax office staff. Teachers are 50/50. Half are good. The other half are a joke. Grades aren't kept up to date on skyward. Getting problems resolved is next to impossible. There are just too many kids. If your child isn't a magnet student, they don't matter much.

This is my school and I love it! We all get along and I am part of the graduating class of 2014 and we are all ready for the next step after high school rather it be college, trade school or what're be we plan to do when we leave this school for the rest of our lives and we owe it all to the faculty and administrators her at LCHS. So for those if you that are saying Lakeview isn't a good school, well you're right it's not a "good" school it's a great school! Go Patriots!!!!

I am a senior at Lakeview Centennial HS. I can honestly say that LC is, without a doubt, the best high school in the Garland Independent School District. Lakeview is home to so many wonderful teachers who really care about their students and want to see them succeed.
The Collegiate Academy at Lakeview, while challenging, is a major benefit to high school students. Not only does the program save students 1000s of dollars in college tuition for free, it prepares students for the rigorous levels that colleges expect students to work at. This amazing program, paired with Lakeview's amazing faculty and administration, has certainly prepared me for my future education.
Although some may say we don't have the best counselors, our counseling staff is great. Counselors everywhere make mistakes when it comes to schedules, and with over 2000 students, mistake will be made. Our counselors work tirelessly to rectify these errors and make sure students are where they need to be. The counselors are kind, thoughtful people whose main goal is helping students achieve success.
It is truly my belief that if you want your children to receive a more than quality education in a pleasant environment, then Lakeview Centennial HS is the place for you.
