Lakeland Yard and Garden Review

I believe in giving second chances but this was the third visit that we have been rudely helped. I have used Lakeland Yard & Garden for over 10 years and always had great experiences. They have a great selection and great buys from time to time. The last 3 visits haven't been so great. The first of the three we still left with a large purchase. Today's visit we left without hardly looking. I know it's off-season so I expected to have a wait for help. One sales person was too busy on his cell phone and the other told me she would be right back after greeting rather rudely. I then notice that when she finished with her current customer she walks off with another customer who just walked in. No matter how good the product is customer service is still most important.

Not very helpful unless they knew you were about to spend a lot of money. I think just that salesperson. I have been other times when they are very helpful.

Very broad selection of trees and plants and the folks there were very helpful and knowledge about what they have there.

There is no better place to go. If they don't have something, ( which is rare ) they will get it and bring it to your house !

My husband and I purchased three trees here a few months ago. Before paying for them I asked about the little dots all over the stems of the trees. The owner assured me that it wasn t scale although it sure looked like it to me. These trees are indigenous here so you see them all over the place. They grow like this naturally he said, but transplanting them from the wild is difficult and rarely successful , he pointed out. I went ahead and bought the trees. Soon afterwards I took the time to stop and inspect a number of these trees in the wild. They had none of the dots on their stems- none at all.
Now it s time to apply horticultural oil to kill the non-existent scale which I will have to do this week. If making a sale is more important than being honest I guess I ll just have to spend my gardening dollars elsewhere. I would have had so much respect for the business if he had just owned up to the problem.

I love this place. They have the biggest selection of every kind of plant you could possibly want and the most knowledgeable employees. I like to go and just roam around and look at all the gorgeous plants they have, I always find some that I must have. Great place!

I love Lakeland! But please change your Sunday hours from 12 to 1 on your Google page so that We aren't sitting outside the fence for 45 minutes

I still can t shake off my mind, the lady that was more busy on getting her commission than helping me with my plants. I asked the plant names she couldn t care less.... So sad as it s the only feeble assortment center (aside from Lowes) around here. Now I remembered why I haven t been there in a long time.

They always have what I need a little higher but flowers r Healthy

Well kept and beautiful, but the staff were not very knowledgeable in their plants.

Best prices around, easily competing with the box stores. Huge selection, and helpful staff.

came in to buy plants till I heard a guy yelling at a loader. I stood in shock as the man yelled at the younger man for trying to do his job.when the older man walked off I approached the younger man and asked him for his name, the younger man told me mark westbrooke was his name.he told me he yells at everyone and tells them he his their boss when he did not even hire them. the younger man told him he was quitting because of mark. I was so shocked I left and will never return. employees should be treated better

They were very helpful and knowledgeable with helping me eradicate my weeds and unwanted grasses.

Scott and the rest of the staff were so helpful and just as excited as my wife is over their plants. We are from South Texas and she visits nurseries wherever we travel, this one was well worth the joy it brought her :) thanks Lakeland.

It was difficult to find someone to help me out with my project. I was blown off by a couple of people. But when I did find someone who was very helpful the experience was not as bad. First impressions say a lot about a company.

My husband and I visited today and we received the most awesome service! We were looking for elephant ears but had a few questions. We were approached by an employee and that's where the awesome experience began! He took the time to help us locate the plants we were seeking and patiently answered our questions. He never rushed us, never pushed us to buy or accept anything we didn't ask for or want and he gave us an amazing deal! This place is THE place to go to for your gardening needs! I absolutely love this gardening center and I'm sure you will, too!!

Great local yard and garden spot. They sell lots of household and yard accessories also. Customer service is good and prices are okay.

Good quality and selection as well as helpful staff. Plants are superior to cheap Wallmart or Lowes plants. Worth it.

I found exactly what I was looking for......a tulip tree for my yard. Lots of beautiful plants!
