This is initially going out to the after school program that they run in Denville. Very poorly ran organization. They take advantage of people's hard working money specialty during times like this when there's a pandemic and covid is at stake. The schools were closed for the whole month November except for one day and they charged me $400. I left several messages to an employee named Gail and she never got in contact with me. They should have issued the full credit back to my credit card in which they didn't.

This place is run by third rate management. The senior level "executives" are not present or interactive with their customers. The structure itself is dated. Inside it reminds you of a 1990's era elementary school not a state of the art fitness complex that you should be receiving for the high membership fee they demand. The building is dirty. You never see full time cleaning people here instead you get what look like volunteers sometimes cleaning the facility. Downstairs in fitness the bathrooms are disgusting, smell of mold and mildew overtakes you. The parking lot is old and cracked up. There are screws and bolts laying in the parking lot. The front desk staff are rude and not inviting, rather they act like they own the building. They text on their phones and chat and giggle with each other instead of greeting you. And when you do arrive they act like you are inconveniencing them (isn't that why they call it work?) Overall there is zero care of customers concerns from any level of staff there which starts from the top and runs all the way to the bottom. A good training session from corporate would fix alot of these issues and make the experience better for those who pay to come here. And a little caring, effort and oversite from the leadership team and this place could shine.

Camp is completely mismanaged. Camp director seems way more interested in criticizing employees behind their backs, condescending to them, and even publicly humiliating them as opposed to actually trying to help them in any way or give them constructive feedback.

I found a living dragon in my locker and a fairy im the shower. When I came out a witch was asking me if I wanted my butt bit off by a chicken. I said sure! Then I fell off the empire state buliding. What an adventure! Come here if you want to see elephants!

If I could give this place -0- stars, I would. Today we brought our child to the Y camp (not an inexpensive proposition, by the way) for her first field trip, only to find that the foolish person coordinating the event decided to leave 20 minutes EARLIER than the published time, leaving my child and who knows how many others out of the excursion. And then the junior staff member we spoke to immediately (still BEFORE the scheduled departure time of the bus) had an insulting reaction, as if we were late. We followed their published time guidelines for arrival for check-in- just to discover that their published instructions were junk. THEY ignored their own guidleines and gave us an attitude about it.

We register for 4 weeks of camp - pay over 2K$, have a family emergency and we are told it's non-refundable. The portal to enroll kid into is not user friendly. New app that they are using is horrible. Our first experience with this place - I would think a camp is a little more flexible (and, after 2 voicemail lefts over course of 2 days - this was the response we received).

My husband and I joined the Lakeland Hills YMCA yesterday and we are really enjoying it so far. I like the ambiance of the facilities - it's very family friendly but if you don't have kids, it isn't overwhelming at all. We are looking forward to exploring all that is offered over the next several months.

Pros: very clean, new equipment, great class schedule, beautiful basketball/volleyball gym, never packed to the point where you can't use a machine, pool is large and clean

Cons: none that are apparent yet.

No monthly memberships and very strict policies as opposed to other YMCA's. Seems to be designed to keep out people they don't want (college students, people outside of the immediate vicinity, etc). Definitely will not return.

The YMCA yoga program for many years honored the Christian principles of the YMCA s Mission Statement. That is no longer the case. Newer instructors hired have introduced chanting to the goddess Shakti and meditating to crystals and on crystals. At a time during COVID when outside exercise classes are needed, the exercise classes have become uncomfortably more than that. I have been pushed aside by these additions to the program and program participants do not realize what is going on. It is sad. My long time membership ends in November and I will just disappear. Way to go YMCA.

We hosted a birthday party for our 4 year old. It was good. That being said they have very young girls in charge. I felt a manager should have been onsite to oversee things. We added on a face painter through them which was a complete waste of money. She was slow and not good. Don't waste your money.

It s great there but at the gym there is this guy that asks kids that look young if there supposed to be there. My friend and I went there today and we were interrogated by that guy. He kept asking me if I was old enough or not. Then when I went to the teen gym part, he interrogated other kids that looked young but were even over the age limit. If you see anyone like this just don t answer him and report him. It ruined my whole experience going there.
