This is our fifth year in a row to go on the dinne...

This is our fifth year in a row to go on the dinner cruise on the Lac du St. Sacrement as we go Lake George every year for our family vacation and I hate to say it but I think it will be our last.

We made a reservation on their website a week and a half prior to and in the special request section, we requested to sit at a table next to the dance floor. We did this so we can watch our young kids on the dance floor from our table.

Fast forward to last night we arrive to the boat at 5:30 because the operator on the phone says this is when they say they start boarding. Well we get there and they must have started boarding at 5pm because the boat was already full. Our thoughts are that s fine we made the request for a table near the dance floor so we should be safe.

Guess again, not only did we not get seated next to the dance floor, they put us on the second floor at the windows where we can not even see the dance floor. What s more upsetting is according to them we never made that request because it doesn t show in their system. Yes that s correct they re blaming us.

It s obvious their staff have no concept of customer service because they made no attempt of a goodwill gesture of any kind. All we got was we re sorry followed up with... hey! want to buy an outrageously overpriced picture of yourself?

Any gesture would have been nice,
hey you know what? We re sorry we couldn t accommodate your request, why don t you stay on board after the dinner cruise and watch the fireworks with us, or, hey here s a couple vouchers for drinks while you re on board, or, here s a voucher for next year .

The icing on the cake. Even if you made the request there s no guarantee that we would accommodate it . Why would you even say that at this point? Is that helpful to the situation or will that just upset the customer even more?

I asked for the manager to call me the next day and she basically told me the same thing.

I think the owners of this business should consider sending their employees to customer service training.

Look I get it, things happen mistakes get made, it s what you do to make things right that sets you apart.

The folks at the steamboat company have my contact information if they ignore this review I ll just take it as a sign that they don t want or care about me or my business and there s plenty more to replace me. If that s the case that s fine I won t bother them anymore and take my business elsewhere.

I strongly urge other potential clients to consider alternate options other than the Lake George steamboat company.

Nice trip down lake george, friendly staff.
The only bad thing is the 2 wooden steam stacks rear of the boat, they are so loud,it's hard to hear the captain. They get annoying after a while.

Consider the Horicon instead! The boat was FULL -
zero social distancing on the 2pm and saw the 12pm come in and it was also at full capacity. On our cruise we saw the Horicon and Adirondac pass by and both had plenty of space and looked comfortable to walk around. Also, the narrating is not great - saw lots of homes. Quite boring but picturesque.

A visit to Lake George isn't complete without taking an actual ride on the lake. For an hour-long tour, hop on their steamboat, the Minne-Ha-Ha which will take you on a fun ride passing by gorgeous homes, narrated by the captain AND complete with the soothing sounds of the steam pipes.

Every year we visit Lake George we take the 1 hour Minne ha ha boat tour around the lake. Wish they wouldn't print the photos for the souvenir before people decide to purchase them. That's a huge paper and ink waste! They did improve on the picture pick up process by finding people on the boat and processing payments before getting back to shore. Wish the price for photos was lower, $35 for the package seems steep when it was only $17/per person for the boat ride. Especially if they throw the images out for the people who don't buy. The narration is nice to have from the captain. Staff was professional and nice. Gift shop has snacks and reasonably priced souvenirs. They have a bar on board as well. Very safe and clean boat. Bathrooms on board as well. Handicap accessible with an elevator on board. You can even access the engine room via a viewing platform inside, pretty neat to see.

Must visit location. This would be really good to start off your Lake George tour. The captain was telling the history and took us into nice places to remember safely. You should book your tickets before you can get there. Discount if you have AAA card. Staff was were nice as well. Picture of Mini Haha I think it was shorter ride but we took Paradise bay for 2.75 hour.

A fun boat ride to see Lake George from the water, you can see beautiful and historical places you can't see from land, and it's also nice to get away from the crowds and it's very relaxing. There are also dinner tours and special tours with bands/ music.

I did the fireworks cruise on the Minne ha-ha. All the staff that I had interacted with were super nice and accommodating. The cruise itself and the fireworks show were amazing. I was not expecting to have as good a time as I had. I would definitely recommend doing it. Worth every penny!!

Our cruise was booked for 7:30, and we were there at 7:20. By the time the extremely rude employee gave us our tickets, the boat had already left. We were not offered a refund even though it was the employee s fault for taking so long to give us our tickets and ultimately causing us to miss the cruise. Would not recommend based on unprofessionalism and blatant rudeness, which was completely uncalled for. Would give zero stars if I could.

It was amazing! The dinner was delicious, the scenery was beautiful and the band was including people and giving out prizes for contests. It was sold out but still enough room to walk around and see the whole ship. I loved it.

Great ride that was very inexpensive. It s around fifty dollars for about a family of six. The ride is worth it. The ship has restrooms, has great seating areas throughout the ship, it ship has around 3 to 4 floors including the top of the ship which isn t covered. Great overall view of Lake George is provided along with great knowledge about Lake George and it s past. Definitely take the Minnie HaHa out of the others!

Take the Minne-ha-ha especially if you have small children because it's fun to make them say the name repeatedly. We only went on the Minne-ha-ha so I can't say about the cruise ship or the Mohican. The cruise is an hour long and takes you up coast of the lake. They started incorporating the stream pipe music back into the cruise. Prices are reasonable for the lake area.

Recently visited the minni-ha-ha this past week. I visited Lake George 40 some years ago as a teen with my parents. I wanted so bad to ride the boat but they said no. I ve been wanting to go back and finally got the opportunity this year! It was so great! I enjoyed the history lesson as well as the beautiful scenery. It was so much more fun than I expected. The person who narrated was very informative and humorous at time. The gift shop was very reasonable and the staff was very nice! I would highly recommend this to anyone! Take your cameras along, the view is breath taking!

I have taken cruises aboard the Lake George Steamb...

I have taken cruises aboard the Lake George Steamboat Company in the past and this visit was a siginifgant decline in customer service and overall standards compared to previous trips. When obtaining our tickets (previously purchased online) the to ticketing agent did not know when we could board the ship. Upon boarding it seemed as though there was confusion amongst the staff, and leakage from a recent storm had not been cleaned up. We also then found out that dinner was a buffet, and not served as had been advertised online (total tickets for two adults = $110). The food was alright, but not great. Our server could have been more attentive, bit paid more attention to tables that were purchasing alcoholic beverages. The music is off-key lounge music, and migraine inducing. I would love to take another Lake George cruise, but either a different cruise with this company, or a different one altogether.

Was nervous as we came during covid however, it was a great ride. We were allowed to wear a shield if we couldn t do a mask. And when most people took off their masks we did too and no one complained at all. It was a fun ride (we did the pirate cruise). What a blast!

Great Experience!! They did a great job of. It overselling the boat even on a Friday When they could have. The Minne-Ha-Ha was a great cruise. Just enough time and included great narration. Suggest sitting on right hand side of the boat as that is the side viewing the narration. Overall, terrific experience.
