This place is fine but the two African American women who sit at the visitor pass section are bullies they laugh at patients and they make everybody uncomfortable and scared. I barley wanted to stay with my family because of how rude and mean they were. If you want to make this a welcoming and comfortable space for everybody, please get rid of these women. Thank you
I will give my overall visit a 5. This was at Lake Area on Nelson rd.The drs and nurses and other staff in the ER were amazing! All areas that I seen were very clean and kept up. My son was very well taken care of and my husband and I were treated with respect, even the security was great. Now, that front desk lady is another subject, she made absolutely NO eye contact with anyone I seen her speak to the whole time we were there. No one was at the actual front desk, you had to ring a bell and wait on the lady to say "come around the wall" like it was some shabby back road hotel. I dont think she likes her job or she isnt trained very well.
I had several surgeries in the past 4 months and all the staff was very attentive to me. The hospital was very clean too. Also, I love how every morning someone comes on the intercom through out the hospital to pray! Wow! What a way to make the patients fell safe and loved. I d recomend this hospital

My first time ever going to an ER, and other that the circumstances that brought me here, it really wasn t a bad experience. The staff was friendly and helped me out a lot. Hopefully I won t have to return to an ER, but if I do I ll definitely choose this one!
Horrible hospital to go get checked , my doctor that day was sonnier Jessica, she was very unprofessional man I tell ya ,I m currently expecting a baby when she did my pelvic exam I was a bit uncomfortable she burst out well how did you get pregnant ? She was in such of a hurry like she didn t want to even be there . When it was time for my paper work she didn t even let me finish my Iv , she told me I had a uti, I told her I was already on medication for that she left the room and send the nurse with my discharge papers, didn t explain anything. When I ask her for a hr number she says I m hr I m the boss If you complain it goes through me and giggle about it, she needs to humble her self and be kind, her position is over her head turns out she s only the er doctor on nights .
I've never waited longer than 1 hour. Staff is very knowledgeable and caring. I would definitely recommend to my family and friends! Keep up the good work. Best hospital in Lake Charles!
All of the employees were very professional and knowledgeable of their respective jobs. I was very pleased with my experience at this facility.

70 % of Employees here do care and enjoy helping patients and are empathic. They get satisfaction by helping and it shows.
And the other 30 % of employees only work for the hourly pay. They don't care. It don't matter to them what patients are going through. They get agitated when called, intentionally come late(to the rooms), makes faces when asked for help. Rude. These kind of behavior only make things more painful.
To those 70% keep up the good work. You make this world better and thank you for the service. We need more like you.
To those 30 % if one day you get admitted in the hospital then you will get the same treatment as you are giving to others.
This hospital will try and charge you more then double on most Surgical procedures then other hospitals
A EGD AVG COST NATION WIDE IS AROUND 4K AND THIS HOSPITAL WAS GOING TO TRY AND CHARGE OVER 8K
AND SAID WE CAN DO THAT BECAUSE THATS THE MAX SOME INSURANCE COMPANIES WILL PAY US ..
THIS IS SUCH BULL SH#T AND THEY WILL NEVER GET BUSINESSES FROM ME OR MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY !!!
If I could rate the emergency room at a 0 I would. The 3 times I have tried this emergency room I have waited well over 6 hours just to be seen. I know they are short staffed but it is absolutely insane how many people just walked out after waiting hours.
