They are very friendly & welcoming. The facility is bright & clean.
One very important thing I noticed - if you're coming from another city, you will probably drive right past it. Their name is no where to be seen on the outside of the building, nor is the building address visible from El Toro Rd. When they call or send you packet information, they should mention they are located inside the SCOP building in the same center as the Ayres Hotel. This would avoid a lot of unnecessary stress & confusion.

I don't think I have EVER met a surgical staff this dedicated before. Between Jessica at admissions to Mia who ran through questions with me who were VERY kind, knowledgeable, and reassuring. I haven't had a staff who didn't see me like a ticket or just a number. Their focus is on you, how you're feeling, and are prepared to make sure you're ready both physically and mentally.

I didn't catch her name exactly, but I think is was Shannon Ray or Sherry, Head Nurse of the department. I was still waking up from the anesthesia when I asked for her name. She looked into my bed area and noticed that i was a little uneasy before surgery. It was comforting that she took a huge interesting in making sure I didn't feel alone and wanted to make sure I knew i had the support I needed from the nursing staff. She periodically checked up on me before and after my surgery to ensure everything would go well, and to make sure I wasn't in too much pain. Since I couldn't voice much, she noticed that my hand was clenched and told the others to watch that.

Dr. Nguyen my anesthesiologist who was more than knowledgeable to walk me through the steps the night before, make sure I was comfortable and relaxed during my visit. It was comforting that before I left, she wanted to check in on me to make sure I was okay to leave the surgical center. I have NEVER had an anesthesiologist do something like that before, having that kind of reassurance before you leave is comforting.

Briana, my surgical room nurse, whose smile could like up a room and kind of put you at ease. Looking to make you laugh or a small smile. Everyone knows how nerve-wracking it can be to go into a surgical room feeling alone, but she keeps your attention and walks you through everything. Dedicated to making sure you're good to go.

Nicole, my post-op nurse, was extremely helpful. I had a lot of pain after surgery, but she did everything she could to make sure I was comfortable, to make sure I was safe, and to reassure me that everything was going to be okay. She also periodically called my spouse about every 15-20 minutes to let her know my progress whether it was good or bad. She was very gentle, kind, and it was comforting to know that someone was there every moment after I woke up which I haven't had before.

Dr. Daniel Duggan, my surgeon, is a phenomenal doctor. He wanted to go through every avenue before considering surgery which is unheard-of in my experience. Most doctors i have met only want to make money off injections and such, but he recognizes the issues and puts a plan together for the possibility of rehabilitating the injury. He knows what he's doing, he knows what works, and he gets it done. He's the reason why my mom is even able to walk again and he's the perfect doctor for any knee or joint issues.

I thought this surgery was going to be difficult doing alone and not having anyone I know, but I have NEVER felt so welcome. This staff went above and beyond my expectations, made me feel welcome, and took care of me and the other patients there like they were born to do it. It almost feels like a home away from home and I couldn't be more grateful than I am right now.

I just had outpatient surgery at Memorial care surgical Center in Laguna Woods. All of the staff were friendly and professional from Jessie at check-in to Amy and Dennis in recovery. Thanks to Nicole, Raeanne, Stacy, Adrian and of course Dr. Choi, the anesthesiologist and Dr. Sundine, my doctor. Thank you all for putting me at ease before and after my procedure.
