I relished the time there when we celebrated our staff Christmas party here last night. The service provided by Petra was tip-top with patience as 10 of us waited for each to arrive before we started ordering.
The pasta dishes, mains and pizzas are excellent!
All of us enjoyed our time very much.
Great meals. Can book up a table for a group so is perfect for a catch up for family dinner. Large pizza is perfect to share between a few people if needed. Or can get single meals. They also do take aways. And will package up your left overs.
Brilliant for take away or dining in. Staff are friendly and helpful and always seem very keen to ensure your meal is tasty. Impressively attentive staff considering how busy it gets often. Take out food is always ready to go on time and kept nice and hot. The pasta is ALWAYS my go-to especially the yum gnocchi either in creamy basil or mushroom sauce. Making adjustments to your order is no problem and I often get a little extra garlic. Love coming here!
Nice service and great food. A bit salty for my taste, so I would give a 4.5 star rating if there were one. Highly recommend if anyone is looking for some Italian food in Parnell!
Family friendly, pizza tastes good and speedy. They are keen to get feed back about the visit and make sure it was pleasant.

DIY pizza for the kids birthday program, the best ever birthday party for the kids. The pizza is yum compare with most of others. The amazing service also you can order one pizza with two different flavors. I don t think rest of pizza store can do that. VH
Service was on point, and the staff were very friendly and professional. The location is convenient and the restaurant is stylish and clean. Although the menu is pricey the food is absolutely amazing. I give it a 11 out of 10. Very nice spot to have dinner with friends ot family.

This place used to be quite good and cheap. But now the price has gone up quite a bit, I don't feel it's a good place to grab a quick bite anymore. Everything tastes a bit too salty.
Expensive for the quantity and quality as a vegetarian the taste was below expectations, however service is good and the food arrived quickly

Average food compared to other Italian restaurants in Auckland. The schnitzel was pretty good though. Not impressed with the pizza or spaghetti bolognese.
The most over-priced, mediocre food that I can remember, $16 for a side-sized salad and so much sour cream on the pizza it was un-edible (chef's special, not sure how that came to mind as "special"). Nice staff though, just need to try and do Italian food justice.

We had a party here today - and it was FANTASTIC. The 7 year olds had the best time, it was interactive, fun and GREAT value for Money! Thank you Kate for your amazing organisational skills, the abundant toppings you provided and the cake was AMAZING. The adults all enjoyed their food, the presentation was great, the dishes were filling! The coffee was also excellent. Thank you!
We used to be La Por regulars...came back today and were a little disappointed. Seemed like the pizza base had changed (for the worse). We got our usual Pollo e Funghi tortellini and the sauce is a little more watery and the chicken slightly more bland. Still can't beat La Por in the 'value for money' category.

Was told we ordered 20 mins before service but the real reason was we were pushed back behind other customers!!! And it took 40mins for service. Lied straight to my face not going back !!
went there on 27 th Jan with four people . everyone else ordered drinks and i asked for water. the water never came and when i asked the waitress instead of saying she forgot was told you should get it yourself. no problem if i was told that when i ordered . the food was ok but the portions have got smaller and price higher .

Worst restaurant I have ever been to. Went here for a work dinner, a group of 13 women and we are all waitresses or bar tenders or managers. We all had our own bottles of wine to drink and we never got given any water. This combined with our food taking over an hour and a half made for an interesting night. Staff were either rude or did not speak English and were so hard to understand. After 40 minutes we were told our food was going to be 10 minutes away. After an hour they told us it was still 10 minutes away. After we had waited over an hour for our food a waiter told us that they had run out of a dish and didn't tell us until then. None of us were impressed. After we ordered different food it came out with the rest of the order in 3 minutes. This tells me that they microwave most of their food. The food was disgusting and not worth the wait for the money. The staff stand around and don't seem to care about customers. Never going back.
My fav place for Italian...and staff is just amazing...always given best service over the last 10 years I been going there:-)
Had pasta here today and it was awesome! Good value with big portions and a well planned kiddies menu. Highly recommended!

Mediocre food. Very rude owner. We informed staff about being Zomato gold member before ordering. Staff informed that we need to redeem when we make payment. After meal, we went to make payment when we were told that we should have redeemed before ordering. He was very rude when it was his staff who was at fault. Very dissapointed with the treatment. Will never go back to this place.
Staff were friendly, but food was average. Overall we had a good experience, until we got home. Both me and my partner had FOOD POISONING.
I rang the restaurant, the staff dealt with our issue professionally. The owners sent us an email the next day explaining that everything we ate was fresh and compliant to their regulations, but can't rule out human error. No compensation of any kind was mentioned.
We know that was the last meal we had (8pm), so it's really their words against ours. Now 2 days later, we're both recovered, so there's no point going to the doctors to investigate any further. While I'm sure it's a one off incident, we won't be going back there for sure, nor will we recommend to anyone we care about.
Were sitting down the back and could still feel the cold coming in from the door as it was an automatic door and everytime someone stood near it, it would open. Might be an idea to change the type of door, considering the line of people waiting to be seated was right to the door so it didn't stop opening the whole time we were there. As for the service, I asked for a bottle of water and it was taken to the wrong table so I had to go to the bar to ask for another one. Waited 45 minutes for food, but that wasn't too bad considering it was really busy. Chicken schnitzel was very moist and tasty great meal. Would prefer Hobson street was still open though.

This place is all family, you can let your teens go alone,the staff will handle. Staff you rock!

My favourite Italian restaurant in Auckland. The pasta is always fresh and made to order. The service is great with friendly staff that have a good understanding of the menu. The drinks and pizzas are exquisite. My personal favourite dish is between the Fettuccini Pollo e Fughi and the Fettuccini Pollo e Avocado. I highly recommend La Porchetta to anyone looking for quality Italian food at a fair price.
Very reasonable priced Italian/US diner fare. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Pizzas are top notch, but some pasta dishes can be disappointing.

I really love the La Porchetta as a family restaurant. The staff is always friendly in all franchises I went ans the food is really good value for money.
Usually I am happy with the food, but when I ordered Penne Beef Ragu, I could find one tiny piece of meat after looking very carefully in the tomato sauce. Disappointed because I can cook penne with veggies and tomato sauce at home. The waiter spoke to me and brought some sauce with meat. Next time I'll try the ones I already know, like Carbonara or Pollo and Funghi.

The chicken on the pizza was stale - got food poisoning. Would give -5 starts if I could. On the plus side the staff was really good

An amazing time at La Porchetta in Parnell tonight. Our waiter Samuel was wonderful and well noticed by all of at our table of 11, forgot to tip this fabulous gentleman, really well deserved after catering to our loud banter and demands. Food was great, table seating was great, nice atmosphere. Definitely top recommended. Thanks Samuel!

The food is always fantastic and the service is even better, this is my favourite place to eat. The focaccia with cheese pizza, and the chips/wedges are cooked better here than anywhere else.
